Imo, all sports would be good to bet if you liked the sport and understood the odds. Because even at first I only bet on football on offline gambling but after betting online, there are at least a lot of my favorite sports to bet on. Not only football and basketball, because even I have won big at horse races and also, there are many other sports that I think are okay to bet on such as tennis, hockey etc. For me the most important thing is understanding the odds and also the timing of the sport itself or at least knowing about the sports that are betting on, after that I think all sports will still be good to bet on. Smiley

I agree with you, if anyone likes the sports, and understands the odds, it's enough for placing bets! It's so simple... people talk about researches and knowing the sports, but most of those things you can find online, with following a few bloggers you can get into it without much trouble.

So probably the best answer is to bet on the sport you like! It's easy to check more about the sport itself and to find people who are into it and follow them, but that is possible only if you have an interest in a specific sport and you have a desire to read about it and follow it.

the odds sometimes is just  a trap, thinking that the team with lower odd will going to dominates the game,

Without proper knowledge you are adding more risk on your bet, not just simply because you are inside gambling but without proper information
regarding to the game that you are involving yourself adds up more risk.

Best to play or bet with those sports that you already have good insights chances is far better for you to win than relying most with your luck!

It is true, even a bet with odds of 1.01 can be lost, so you don't need bet on small odds. Logically speaking, it is better to bet on sports where there are two outcomes, like tennis or boxing. With football it is already more difficult, since there is a high probability of a draw.

Just curious what you guys think..
Sports betting is one of the best population sports betting types in the world, not a few people spend money / time betting for profit.

From the past until now, I have not been able to forget the three sports betting that I often bet on: football, horse racing and tennis, these three sports have their own way of betting.
1. Football: loyalty in betting. I prefer to place bets against my favorite team, and there are many ways that make me happy for this one sport.
2. Horse racing: this is also a game that is no less fun to place bets in an organized manner in every small and big racing tournament.
3. Tennis: the options offered also make it easier to place bets in a new round of games at the start, the fun of being able to place bets with whoever we want to bet on.

The bottom line: Sports betting with the increasingly sophisticated technology on the online platform, we can choose a lot of sports betting that is provided without having to involve directly or manually to bet.

This question is rather a subjective one as it depends upon the interest of the person betting. To be honest, if I do not know anything about the sport, I would not risk my money into betting a team which is considered 'dominant' without knowing any of its fundamentals.

Personally, I used to bet in the NBA as I consider myself as an avid fan and watcher. With that information, it was easier for me to keep track of the games, data, and the latest news regarding each team (i.e. internal matters on the team, injuries, rookie prospects, etc.).

Again just to reiterate, the answer will primarily depend upon the interest of a person regarding a sport.

In terms of popularity, I think basketball and soccer is the best sport to gamble. If you live in european countries then soccer is really popular on those countries based on what I often read on the social media. Meanwhile everyone knows the NBA league all over the world, each fans have their favorite teams to put their bet on. Those sports are often televised in most countries and analyzing them on some websites about who is going to win is easier because it is more popular thus making it a better sport for me to gamble.

When we can research about the team that we favour, we will get more information that will help us to know if our team can have more chances to beat other team and win the game. That is not difficult because we only research our favourite team info and do not research many teams. But if we can collect more info about the opponent team, that can help us know how big the percentage for each team to win. Maybe that can determine us to choose the right team so we can win the game.
I don't think we need to go for researching each team wise when we are really interested on watching one particular sport. I mean if you are continuously watching all the games in one sport then definitely you will be having good knowledge about all the teams and this way you can bet on your favorite team more accurately.

Overall, all the sports will be easier and profitable to bet with only when you are really having interest to watch them and your continuously following all the events of that sport.

The best sport to put your gamble on is the sport and the team that you know best. This requires you actively researching about your favorite game, your favorite team, and how they will fare against other teams at the same game. This may sound like a hefty task but believe me, this almost always give you greater chances at winning than just gambling on a game you know nothing about. Only upside on that being the fact that you won't feel as bad when you lose as when you have invested time learning it, but Ignorance is Bliss after all.

I'm not sure it's really about which of the sports should be considered "the best" since sports gambling is a matter of personal preference. But judging based on other factors like the odds, I think basketball is the sport that I've seen the biggest odds getting splashed even on fixtures favorites. Even the O/U total points markets also feature high odds compared to the similar markets on other sports like soccer O/U total goals market. Like I said, it ultimately depends on the gambler and which sport they prefer putting their money on.
Isn't it Football? or at least Boxing?

according to this Blog created last year Basketball seems to be at Number 5?

https://lastwordonsports.com/2020/06/15/most-popular-sports-betting/

and Yeah it is Football and then Tennis? really? wow according to bet volume it is tennis is in Number 2 lol.

Then American Football and Horse Racing and yes , this is one of the most popular gambling in sports here in Asia.

It depends on the purpose for which you are placing your bets. If for the sake of making money, then you need to choose a more predictable sport, if in order to tickle your nerves, then less. For example, it is believed that men's and women's tennis are very different in predictability, since women are less emotionally stable and during a match the situation can radically change several times.

I agree, if you are playing for money personal preferences shouldn't be decisive. If you are watching games and just want the thrill while watching, well, obviously you place your bets on the sport you like to watch the most.

I once placed 9 bets on a Bundesliga match day, 8 games were correct and now the 9th game was about to start. That was the real deal in terms of fun and thrill. Tongue

For money though nobody would put 9 games down on a single betting ticket. Just doesn't make any sense.

that is a nice story you have there
how much did you win for this bet?
it finished positive?

did you get the last game right?

sports betting is quite hard to predict, but not impossible.

I thought I'll save that part of the story for later. Cheesy The last bet was on a win for the home team which was first in the league playing against the last. They led the game 2-0 and it turned out to be a draw in the end!!!!! Cheesy 2 - 2, omg...

This is ages ago and I couldn't easily secure the bet with a counter bet online. It is like 15 years ago or so when we still filled out those betting tickets. Fun time regardless can say for sure! Smiley

It’s gotta be whatever sport you’re most familiar with, right? I pretty much only watch basketball regularly so that is the only sport I bet on outside of the random fight here and there. I’m more of a casual bettor though I guess and usually only do so for the entertainment value. If I’m not going to watch an event, I’m somewhat unlikely to bet on it.

You are a legendary gambler because you only put your money where your mouth is. I also watch the games I bet on, but sometimes the streams of some games are not available, so I need to watch on the virtual display that the gambling site shows when the game is ongoing. And I sometimes gamble on games that I'm probably not going to watch due to some work but I guess that our confidence in the player as well as the game serves our purpose many times and we win the game with insane differences.

Well, the best odds in the bet define the answer, sometimes it is not a matter of the sport that you have more information, soccer may always give profit you every weekend and for you it is the best sport to bet on, but not always That gives you a good profit due to the theme of the favorites in soccer.

So sometimes putting the bet on certain sports that are not usual but that give good odds, can be the best sport to bet on that day, sometimes individual sports are a great alternative.

No other Than Boxing and  Baseball  Grin Grin Grin

Sometimes Basketball and NFL  but the most favorite is Boxing , I even collect my funds for Boxing for long time specially when Manny Pacquiao is having a fight .

So you are a Disciplined Gambler Mate, And you seems not wanted to gamble in sports without no watching the game.

I do not personally watch other games, anyone who loves watching Tennis would wager on tennis, anyone who watches golf would wager on golf, but I do not like it when people wager on sports they do not watch.
Betting on the sports on which we are interested and watching continuously will be profitable and easy to predict. Personally I have tried to bet on other easily predictable sports on which I'm not having too much interest and rarely watching but due to my friends and their comments I somehow managed to predict the final results but in such games, we are getting very low odds hence I stopped betting on them. Yeah, easily predictable games are yielding  very small profits as most people are on right side.

Personally I cannot figure out which sport is best to me to gamble with. I have similar profit levels across cricket/NBA/football. When we are following some team and betting on them then it will be always profitable.
