I would suggest looking in to HEX. The beauty and simplicity of HEX is it's a finished product with 100% uptime. No admin keys, rug pulls or other nonsense. Just a guaranteed rate of return in HEX for the coins you stake. The current APY for stakers that lock up their HEX for an average length of 5.8 years is ~40%. The system is designed to reward people that do the right thing and HODL. The longer you stake your HEX, the bigger amount of T-Shares you lock up and rewards you get. HEX was the best performing Crypto asset this past year with a staggering 2700X return in USD value before staking.

Now is also a great time to get in to HEX. RH is launching a fork of Ethereum with complete system state called Pulsechain. All the ERC20's you hold in your ETH wallet will automatically be copied over to the new chain as Pulsechain versions of those coins, including your staked and liquid HEX.

I will prefer BNB, it's overall have many pairings to other coins and you can safely stake it in binance platform to get reward from coins that usually isn't listed yet but have promising potential because the project is good quality. tokens that offer higher APY usually have really high fluctuation therefore isn't really good but BNB have quite low fluctuation so it is relatively safe, also many good projects usually offer BNB staking as well because partnership with binance.

I really don't understand why people choose to stake non stable coins for such small APY's.

If you have CAKE, BNB etc is better to stake it in a good new DiFi, harvest their native token and then you stake it for a huge APY . Maybe 2.000 or 3.000%.
Of course it will fell after some time and you must sell your tokens, but in the end you will get more profit than the 20-30% that some good alt coins give you.

I know the high risk, but if you do a good research you can find a lot of reliable (for some period) new DeFi

Where is APY better. What have you heard about Near and whether it is worth staking this token

Staking seems to be one of the good features currently in the crypto space, this is because it has successfully created a sort of passive income for those already leveraging it. However, before one can get involved with staking, it is paramount to know about the coins and/or tokens worthy of such and to a length such person should be a long term holder.
About worthy tokens, because some projects have seen that staking is good, made a lot of developers to launch theirs but the return or gains is not worth it. Secondly, if one is not a long term holder, staking won't make sense to the person, because if the price of the coin falls, such person might be forced to exit.
I have not heard about NEAR staking, but however, a token like CAKE have been doing well for a while now when it comes to staking and the apy so far is encouraging. In addition, CAKE lists good tokens which you can sell whenever you want or hold long term.

I have listened many times from different places that Cake is the best for staking I have not tried it myself, because I don't want to take profit from any staking. You can check it on Pancakeswap.

I still prefer Cake by far compared to many many others, it is just not even close. I can see that people like some other stuff because they give better returns and they are not horrible coins neither so it looks like it is going to be quite good according to most of you guys. However I still care about credibility and longevity a lot more than anything else, and Cake is so great that it is undeniably great and that is what I like to focus on because it is basically as secure as anything else and there is absolutely nothing that can be as credible as Cake.

I personally really like it a lot but that is nothing to do with why I like to invest into it, the reason why I really love investing into it is simply just because it gives that comfort of knowing it is not going to crash or it is not going to be a scam, it is the most trustworthy coin out there in the world (in defi world).

Stake popular coins instead, the likes of BnB and ETH can't ever go wrong I believe but others are unreliable, another good project is polka just make sure you choose wisely and stay away from new projects that have uncertain future
NEAR protocol has great staking APY, 11%+.
APY that already offered by NEAR is still very small compared with another pair that available on the various swap platform. https://coinmarketcap.com/id/yield-farming/
There are some platforms that were also giving choice to stake stable coin right now. like NEXO and it gives a competitive APY

I don't get the part about other coins being unreliable, I do stake alot and it includes several coins which I'm still Farming up till today, so it's not just bnb and eth that are reliable, they are tons of coins that are also reliable to stake, in my case I stake Atom and Near, although mostly near since I find the 22% APY on Binance is really juicy, and aside that I invested in Near for the long term hold that's because it has alot of potentials to make top 10 in a year or less, and it's not a new project although it's not as old as bnb and eth.

Lots Of staking system is running now but at fast you to justify whare place is faithful cause lots of systems is not faithful so I think after justifying everything you can staking Binance exchange or most powerful security system exchange you can run staking I think now. you can more earn from the swap system where you can earn more just like baby sowap.

unreliable for what? have you done a research before try to see that? There are lots of coins that give lots of benefits to the stakers. The popular coins didn't give you guarantee if that will be reliable enough.
There are lots of aspect that must be seen from the various views. Just go to the pancakeswap and you will find bunch of new reliable coins that offered very good APY.
that's far better than the major coins. There are some USDT farm as well.

NEO doesnt need staking AFAIK theyd send the GAS by just holding the NEO thru our wallet.

How much have you staked SOV and earn after a week?
I have some of these during its ATH at $80 when it started dipping to $65 I sold it. I'm glad I did since I bought it for $40 too. I still profited though I only bought a few of them.  I can afford to buy at least a hundred. If they just don't give penalties to the early unstakers of the SOV, I likely would have staked.

I actually already sold from the bounty campaign at the beginning of the distribution. I'm just looking to be safe for newly released projects only.
but after a drop along with the bitcoin dump, I bought it another $100. now I stake everything on the platform.
but I forget for how long. I just did the settings until the end of this year, then the Staking could be unlocked. because it seems that when we unstake before the planned time, a large fee will be deducted from the SOV balance.

If I remember as someone said its 10% deduction for untimely unstaking it. Thats a big amount especially if its price was $80 each token.  The platform gets more interesting when they did have aggregator Babelfish, so I'm gonna watch ghe project as it develops even if just investing $1k will still be profitable.

ROI: The expected annual ROI for Neo is 1.5-2.50% (note: this can fluctuate heavily)
I know NEO and it's been stably at the top of the rankings.

But with such ROI, I don't think that it's a good choice for those who don't like small gains. It's a real gain if that's the percentage but this is crypto, yes the rates can change.

If someone doesn't look at the volatility and only looks at the percentage, he will not be satisfied with that roi.

Do not fall into this well-known fallacy. Any coin or token you may stake may end up in value diminishing over the time which means your capital+interest (stake rewards) may not get back your ROI with decreased new value. I am saying this after tried many POS and MN coins. Currently I am staking TRON but its value in BTC is not doing well still I entered into it hence simply continuing it regardless of my profit/loss levels.

I bought Tron when it was trading around 700 satoshi by the times of February 2018. Then its value started to fall and currently it is trading around 160 satoshi levels. Regardless of whatever APY, I am getting; I am just still in loss in BTC value calculations.

Btw what coins do you currently have, you can see some of the DeFi platforms here https://dappradar.com/rankings/category/defi

some coins have different APY, you can see Biswap, Biswap is a new Dex exchange and I have used it because it offers high APY for BSW coins
right now I only focus staking on pancakeswap and biswap only...

I'm tired of putting my money in defi which promises big apr but ends up depreciating in value like pantherswap. I put a few hundred dollars initially in panther but now it's only $30, that's really suck.

I personally think if you want to do staking with tokens then you can try staking on cake, because in my opinion cake can provide a lot of profit even though the conditions of the exchange are not good cake can still provide additional income which is quite decent if you use a lot of capital because of course the results will also be high.
I also do stake CAKE. this is quite profitable I guess.
I put $200 in CAKE. I believe in this token for the long term. because I also don't want to trade it so staking is my way to still get passive income
