For me it is about 400 USD. It actually doubled my initial investment and it is still moving upward. Actually choosing a great project is difficult because you need to study first the fundamentals of the project and make sure that it will generate you a profit. I am so happy when i did invest in that alt.
my biggest win in my entire live is with TRX, i make 500 usd investment and it goes 300% increase in price with just 8 days, not big for other people but that big enough for me, now im holding XRP hope the price keep increase as well
I have really got some pretty good wins and honestly I just stopped keeping track of all my holdings. I am about to set them up on cointrack though so I can know the level of increase for each coin, the one that has given me some great profit so far and how much I am earning from each of them. So far though, even in this year alone, LTC, ETH and some lower coins like ADA has done the trick.

Another good investment was the ETH. I bought it for $45 in the winter, and after 1.5 months it grew to $300. On a part of the profit I bought other coins. But I still keep the ETH, because I consider it promising.
My biggest investment is NEO. I bought it at the end of May, when it still had Antshares. I planned to keep it long. When it grew in 2500% in the fall, I sold half, half left. And I still keep it.

So far, holding LTC at the beginning of the year, some few of lower alts with good prospect has really given me some huge profit, not forgetting ETH and XMR as well.
I got a pretty big profit from investing in Ethereum I was investing Ethereum starting from Ethereum value is still small and at this time Ethereum value is quite big when compared to other coin.
I made alot of profit in Bitconnect coin because i bought this coin when the price $1,7 and now the price about $400, the price increasing alot less than 1 year. But i think the price of this coin increasing because of their lending program but iam not sure their lending program is legit or not. But this coin i think the fastest growing than others. Now from this profit i looking for other new altcoin that has big potential, and i was put in AION network because this project look very interesting.

I didn't have any huge profits. But it surely felt good when i bought Cardano (ADA) for few hundred $ and next day it tripled in value.
A lot of people get a lot of money from altcoin, and dozens of times the profit of altcoin, but there are a lot of people who invest in altcoin, so it's hard to say.
I bought minexcoin on first day when it dips on $1 and invest $500 and hold it for a month and it pump up to $70 just so i earn $34000 that is my huge profit on altcoins.

RaiBlocks (XRB) - When it was first launched the dev came on here, explained how the block lattice worked and asked people to try it out. It sounded interesting so I tried it out for an evening. I netted 50,000 XRB (50 blocks, which was 'meh'). They were actually worth less than nothing back then
