While some people will probably have different opinions with this(maximalists on Twitter) — in general, bitcoin is bitcoin(which is a cryptocurrency), and cryptocurrency is the broader industry of other blockchain-based coin/token projects.

hi friends everyone? This is my first post, and I'm not experienced in the world of crypto. I want to ask, what's the difference between bitcoin and crypto? I hope all my friends can explain to me,,?
Firstly, welcome to the forum.
Secondly, bitcoin itself is a form of crypto (since it uses encryption to verify transactions), there is nothing to differentiate here.
Thirdly, I assume you were about to ask difference between bitcoin and altcoins, anything other than bitcoin is an alt (even usdt).
