They should have made sig free for everyone, i don't have to to help the community with words.

Guess whats happening when this would be ?

Hardcore spamming all around on the Forum and thats why it is at it is right now and a long time ago !
To avoid and against about bot spammers and bounty hunters on the Forum.

If we have free sig for all the Forum will be turn into a chaos and spamming party.

Try it with words and posts , you can write now too !

Fair enough, i would rather have a buyable option(for the sig) but that could be me.

Since i did not get a answer i was looking for i will lock the thread.

Have a nice day all! Grin

I am working on something for the bitcoin community that no one believes in yet. So no trust nor merit for me. So i was wondering if there were alternative for getting merit, because i would like to add a signature to my account. Thanks for the info! Smiley

Dosnt matter on what you work .
And if you work for the FBI or the President in some way you dont get a merit for that .
Just be helpful and contribute positive to the forum .

And as legendster has written " there is no obligation that a good post always has to be merited. "
Try to bring some positive vibes to the forum and i guess you get Merit.

You should read suchmoon's link in his post

I may sound like a narcissistic broken record player, but I'm going to quote myself here. (again)

Merit is a privilege, not a right. So no, there is no obligation that a good post always has to be merited.

I have never pursued after merit, never tried hard to create an infographic, or GUIDE, or anything of that sort to gain merit. I've just been myself and other members here have rewarded me with merits.

So I would suggest, that you concentrate on interacting with people rather than improving your forum rank. Merits will come on their own then. And earning merits is never about being trusted. This forum has its own messy trust system. Even this thread seems like a cheap way to beg for merit, but what do I know?

Well i don't really care about the rank at all nor the merit, just the signature is important for me.

And i do spend some time on other forums, so i know the basics: beggin, trashposts etc.
Was just wondering if there was a way around the bs and i can get my sig?

Thanks for the info tho Smiley

Any tips or tricks?

Meta is a fine place for this topic.  It seems like it's been a while since I've seen this type of thread, they used to be very common last year.

Merit is earned when you make a worthy post.  Participate in the discussions, stay on topic, provide helpful insight and advice and merit will come your way.  Just don't think about it too much, because invariably those who try hard to earn merit wont.  Those who contribute the forum will.

I understand but i don't really feel like floating all day on this forum. :$ I am working on something for the bitcoin community that no one believes in yet. So no trust nor merit for me. Read this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/merit-new-rank-requirements-2818350

And make good posts that other users would consider valuable. Merit has nothing to do with selling, that much I can tell you right away.

Uhm okay, thx for the info but i will just have to do it with newbie then. Don't think anyone will give me merit, because no one trusts me lol.

If you will just read first what's on the link given to you, you will somehow understand that it's not all about "trust" to gain merit.

Lock this thread "for now", relax and spend time reading that thread.

Sorry to bother you guys with this but since i am not a seller, i don't really see how to gain the 1 merit to become jr.
Yes i am new to this forum and i tried to find out how the merit system works. But i don't really think someone will just leave the topic, to give me 1 merit..

Any tips or tricks?

P.S. If this question doesn't belong here lmk i will delete it Smiley
