If not for doge, I wouldn't have known anything about meme coins. Doge really pulled crowd and was lucky to have been liked by Elon musk who rather made the coin popular and made it pump beyond expectations.
It will be correct to say that the idea of doge birthed so any other meme coins as doge killer, Shiba and the rest.
Shiba is another meme coin that made so many millionaires but unfortunately for me, before I could join the bandwagon, the coin crashed on me. I am still holding it but my portfolio is about -80%.

Recently, Pepe is another coin that is making waves and pumping in price. I am not actually a fan of meme coins but I think Doge is the largest meme coin.

The largest meme coin ever is Pepe. Looking at how Pepe was able to reach a large market capitalization with the time of launching and time of hitting the moon was short. I have so much respect fro the team because they are done amazingly with a good market capitalization even looking at their past which merely look like the project would not rise again.
Holding Pepe was a good luck for me because the meme coin really give investors huge profits especially for those people holding large quantities of Pepe.

According to coinmarkecap Doge is biggest meme coin which is no 9 with respect to marketcap. Doge has 11 billion $ marketcap.. Shib is the second big meme coin which has close to 5 billion marketcap and now sitting at number 19. Doge is best coin because Elon Musk is supporting and any coin which has a big supporter then chances of increasing price is high..

I am trading coins only in Binance and Shiba, Doge ,Floki and Pepe are available. Binance listed new meme token which you not wrote here.. The name of token is Meme.. I traded this coin and get profit in this coin. I cannot trust meme coins for long term.. I sold after gaining small profit.

I think Doge coin stands out as premier meme coin in the context of its historical significance, widespread popularity, high speed transactions with its own block chain, and financial success it achieved when it came in lime light, after enthusiastic endorsement of Elon Musk after Elon Musk. Doge coin was launched back in December, 2013 was created for fun and according to its creator the sole purpose was to spreading joy and happiness, but now it's not just a joke, it's a big deal in the world of digital money.

It doesn't hold any significance without elon musk. What will happens to it if one day elon make a tweet saying he was just mocking the community by saying doge to the moon. Its price will instantly lose ground and will do a free fall. A project should not depend on a single person that much because this gives them the chance to control the market as they want. So i think we should stay out of doge in any means if we are already in a profit. There are other project that is far better than doge for long term holding.

I don't know why this thread has risen again. But it is true that Doge is still the biggest meme coin. No matter how many memecoins have been created so far, they are not able to compete with Doge as the pioneer of meme coins. Meme coins exist because Doge coin experienced extraordinary hype in the bullish era last season. So many parties are trying to create meme coins in the hope of hype. yes, because with hype, they can achieve p=very high profits. But unfortunately more than 97% of them will become shit coins afterwards. So far, perhaps only Shiba Inu can survive after Doge.

I haven't made any profit from any meme coin yet i have never invested in any of it. But the largest meme coin till now which was trending for a long time is doge, shiba inu and pepe. Other memecoins didn't make that much of an impact in the market to talk about. Other meme coins the OP mentioned were profitable though they got bigger because of Doge and Shiba inu. Because those coin launched after them, people were rushing towards the next meme coin that could make millions and these project took that opportunity to get bigger.

As far as I know Dogecoin is the biggest, for others if we look it tends to focus on going viral through the explosive nature of memes and how fast they spread. For me until now Doge It's unique in that it has its own original blockchain that mimics Bitcoin in some ways. It is based on a proof-of-work consensus algorithm, but has an unlimited supply of inflation, unlike the capped supply of Bitcoin.

Well, it depends on the risk appetite that we have because some people never think about the future but just today and so they invest meme coins and joined the hype ignoring what the other people had say. This is not to wonder why many people had been disappointed and are in regrets from investing blindly without doing any research.
Meme coins are still having their momentum now but based on the background of these projects it is very uncertain if they will stay long because most hyped projects just vanished after it.

If you visit cmc, then You'll know dogecoin is the largest memecoin among all. Cause doge coin already has biggest volume, cap as well as biggest community than all of those altcoins! You doge is the winner here. But doge isn’t the coin which give me benefit! I actually avoid memecoins but after launching floki, i bought that with some small capital cause floki was name of elon's doge! If doge can fly due to support of elon, then floki could also raise a lot! With this thought, i bought floki inu and made small benefit from it.

"Biggest" based on what? If you look at the marketcap, it is obviously dogecoin that has the largest marketcap and dominating the meme coin market. Next is Shib. And the rest, I am not sure if they are even on the top 100 or not, but they aren't as "big" as the other two I have mentioned. Doge and Shib has been on the top 50 for few years straight, so I am guessing it is going to stay there for the next few years too. The others seems to have been hyped for few months, but eventually failed to dominate the market. Anyways, we don't need any more meme coins to be at the top. Most of them are scam with no real use case.

I don't think there was any premine or holding for Doge team and the project was mostly a volunteer one. Memecoins might not have the best of reputation but they can be a good thing for people looking for quick profits, ones doing swing and grid tradings. People also wait for the memelord Musk to bless specific coins to rise. When you are wise enough to predict and quick enough to jump on the boat, you have a good profit no other coins can provide.

I believe Doge coin was the first ever to coin itself as Memecoin genre as we know of such. There was literally a coin named MEME coin that predates Dogecoin in 2013 but there's not much info available about it now. There are a multiple of meme coins available at the moment. The most popular, with the largest market cap being Dogecoin. But memecly, the most expensive memecoin is Doge Killer from Shiba Inu.
