What condition of your friend now? Did he sell in lose or held to recover the loss? I feel pity by thinking his mental situation because of Bitcoin now only 6700 USD where in February It was 10K USD plus! The main reason for this long-term fallen is unknown. No one knows the exact reason. Some people say it is because governments are baning cryptocurrency and some people are telling about FUD, Bad news. I think we should hodl for more time because One day Bitcoin price will increase more than before.

The price of bitcoin was over hyped in 2017 but after that the prices came back to the original growth so the people who invested lately 2017 are suffering now but still we are lost nothing until you sold it so you need to keep those coins until the prices will rise it may take too longer but definitely will rise someday.

A large amount of new/overextended investors who will and already have panick sold during a flash crash. It is no secret that crypto currencies have gained a lot of mainstream attention and with mainstream attention you can be sure that even the average Joe will take a chance on Bitcoin for quick gains. This has led to there being lot of people who aren't used to a market correction which has happened plenty of times in the past .

Bitcoin price actually not that low. If you see the price of btc one year ago, it seems still lower than the current price.
lets wait and see what will be the cryptocurrency market condition at the end of this year. In the pasts, crypto usually rising at the end of year.

there are many factors that make BTC prices lately tend to fall or weaken, but in my own opinion that made BTC down lately is the number of government regulations that began to prohibit the circulation of BTC causing investors a little hesitant with the survival of BTC for the future, so I think our duty to make BTC's image good in the community and make investors again interested in investing in crypto

it can be seen in the past month that bitcoin prices have started to rise even though only slightly but that makes bitcoin owners a bit happy to see price moves. I wonder how much you invest anyways, everything will come back if not this year then early 2019.

I think several reasons are there for the decrease in price of bitcoin but one of the biggest reason is that as more and more investors get panic and sell their bitcoins because of this the market value of bitcoin goes down.we all have to be patient and make a trust on bitcoin market that one day it show an upward trend.Moreover this is a time when we can purchase more bitcoin at low prices.

Higher the risk higher the profit. For huge profits people enter the market with a big greed. Before entering here one must keep in mind that risk of losing is higher.
And time of buying is also important. If due to greed we buy @ 21k and now are unable to sell at 7k then we should not become so sad. Before investing we should have understood above.

For me no one can say what is the main reason why the bitcoin price goes down. I think it will not stay for a long time because it is normal that the pr8ce of it drops but it will rise soon.
