What is the OS that runs on any machine, even older, that spend the least possible energy and have support at least one web browser?
If not exist, is need.

For the record here. Smiley

If your requirement is just a web browser this is one of (if not) the best.

I tried both damn small linux and puppy linux years ago, and damn small linux was the smallest. It worked great  at the time and I think you could run it from a business card sized CD. If it's stopped working nowadays then puppy linux might be worth a try.

Lubuntu then Linux Lite.
What use on an old machine (512 RAM) is Linux Mint, which is very light and functional. The Lubuntu does not work, I will test those indicated here.
Thanks for suggestions.

512MB RAM is enough for the OS but very little for modern web browsing.

The best configuration for a modern operating system and quite usable is Debian Unstable + Openbox + preload, then disable unnecessary services, enable zram, and it should perform quite well.

Lubuntu then Linux Lite.
I installed Lubuntu on a ~10 years old computer that took like an hour to boot up with XP.
Now it takes like 10 seconds. Lubuntu is awesome!

Is it easy to find program that support lubuntu?
Since Lubuntu is based on Ubuntu, almost all programs available for Ubuntu (debian) can be used on Lubuntu.
So, yes, it's very easy to find! Smiley

Debian with openbox and a few adjustments is pretty fast even on older machines.
