for me, i only use mycelium and multibit, i think its work properly with me and for fastest confirmation, i think its depend on the network. all of the wallet is the same and nothing we can do if the network is overload. just be patient when we see the confirmation is on the way.

i think all wallet has the same speed because it is just depends on how much transaction fee you put so that your transaction will be on high priority, But based on my observation, If the both user have same wallet and they are going to transfer funds, It will take just a second to become successful the transaction. I recommend blockchain if you want a secure wallet addy but if you want a no transaction fee wallet, Just go for the coins.ph. Goodluck

hi people
im using blockchain and many times i wait 3-7hrs till transaction get confirmed
today thanks to it i missed the store who should have make with me money exchange, i made transaction at 5pm and store closes at 8pm
and till now transaction is not confirmed (4 hrs)
i raised a bit the transaction fee to 1 usd but it didnt help.
and is not first time im loosing something because of its taking too long to confirm.
what wallet will you guys suggest me to use so my transactions move faster? will multibit do it?
thanks

Doesn't matter the wallet you use, if you don't set the recommended fees, it will take too much time to finish. I use Blockchain.info, and my transactions confirm in about 10 minutes max. That is because I choose the fee recommended by wallet when ordering a transaction.

If you want faster transactions, you must do it, must spend more money in fees...

Americans do it better
Coinbase allows you to either use their wallet to send without any tx fees or you can even put in your own amount that you want to attach with the send that you are about to do.

If you accidentally sent a transaction with too low a fee and it is unconfirmed you can use a free service to resubmit your transaction with priority in the next block. The original transaction must have been sent with at least a .0001 fee and not have any unconfirmed inputs - https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

It's 100% completely not about the wallet. Stop using blockchain.info because they're pieces of shit and will steal/lose your bitcoins but there is no faster wallet in terms of getting a transaction confirmed.

If they have a dynamic fee you need to choose a higher satoshi/byte ratio. Right now over 100 should get you confirmed in (worse case) a few blocks. It totally depends how many transactions there are for that block though. It sounds like your fee was below what would have normally been recommended so that's why it was slower to confirm.

Well, I've only used the blockchain.info online wallet, and so far its pretty fast for me Smiley The maximum transaction time that it took for me to transfer is 1 hour, others I have completed in 30 minutes or even less. So, good enough for me, but I've only used very small amounts so far.
I guess you will not be able to custom set your transaction fees in blockchain.info wallet otherwise setting 30k or 40k fees may get your 1st confirmation with very next block itself.

Your wallets has nothing to do with your confirmation time. Only your tx fees and block generation frequency.

Confirmation depends on protocol, queue and miners. Not on software itself, software only have automatic resonable fee or not.
Thats it, whole wallet software job in transaction speed is setting fee amount.

If you're using bitcoins and doing small transactions, blockchain is your best bet.
I use it daily and its pretty fast.

yeap, I've been using blockchains wallet ever since and never had any problems concerning transaction speed, but as Rahees says, I'm only working with smaller amounts up to 20$. So I'd strongly recommend that one.

Even if you use other wallet, the confirmation time will still remain the same. I recommend you to continue using blockchain wallet since all transaction will go through blockchain anyway just pay the minimum fee to pay which is 0.0001 BTC no more no less and it will be confirmed in an hour or so. It might be faster depending on blockchain's confirmation speed. Sometimes it takes time but all I can say is be patient.  Cool

I'm pretty sure multibit works without a hardware wallet.  If you want to keep it simple, use blockchain.info (not secure, online wallet).  Different wallets won't affect how long it takes your transaction to confirm, as mentioned above, it is based off of the fee you provide.
blockchain.info is handy, but custom fee needs to be used. Their fee calculation is pretty bad.

what he forgot to tell you about #4 is how to know how much fee to pay per byte. for that you can see this website which updates based on the current situation: http://bitcoinfees.21.co/
I did in #3...

3. Check the current market rate of block space @ https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx.

Sorry to know your inconvenience. Keep a few things in mind and u r good to go from next time...

1. Never consider your fee in USD. Bitcoin is Bitcoin. No USD/JPY/INR/EUR/CNY here.

2. Use a wallet that shows u Tx size before broadcast. I use https://coinb.in.

3. Check the current market rate of block space @ https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx.

4. Pay a competitive fee according to your Tx size and U'll get confirmation within one block.

p.s. If you provide your unconfirmed Tx, I may calculate how much u were supposed to pay.

thanks for that info. i've installed multibit but it seems bad for me since it can work only as hardware wallet
i will try that coinb that you mentioned
cheers

also you can use Electrum which has a dynamic fee calculation which if i am not mistaken takes from the servers and it is based on previous blocks.

confirmation time will depend only of the transaction time

all wallets send coins instantly, if they are synced, then the miners decide if the will confirm it or not

It doesnt matter what wallet you are using because all transactions is going under blockchain services which where the delay happens. If blocks are full then your transaction may take a while but if its free then its faster
