I think it's not secret that many people here are just to get paid. It's not something surprising when we have things like signature campaigns. I've see many cases when users stopped posting after losing spot in signature campaign.
Though, I would lie if I'd say that money don't have any role for me here. I must admit that I made some posts just to get paid. I doubt that I would had made over 7500 posts if there wouldn't be signature campaigns. On the other hand, when I was without campaign, my posting habits didn't changed at all and I haven't made less posts. In all these years Bitcointalk simply become part of my daily routine and I hardly can live without it. And I don't care that much whether I'll get paid or no.
IMO, it's clearly vissible when you're posting genuinely, interested in subject and when you post just to get paid.

There is nothing wrong with posting on the forum to get paid as long as the post have good intentions like helping, sharing ideas compared to post there, post here just to get paid only without thinking if your post could or wil benefit someone from it especially newbies in this case.

I can tell for sure that the users who are hardcore Bitcoin enthusiasts would continue posting on this forum even without signature campaigns. But it's also true that some of the high quality posters are motivated by signature campaigns, especially if they are enrolled in a very high-paying campaign like Chipmixer. This means that signature campaigns aren't inherently flawed, the problem comes from poorly-managed campaigns, but merit system already made a huge improvement.

Also, it's not like without signatures only high quality posters will remain. Check the Serious Discussion board, which is not counted towards any signature campaigns - the quality of discussion there isn't much better than anywhere on this forum.

Those of us here who use the code signature are the members who keep this forum alive. Contributing positively and not breaking forum rules and providing the best ideas is a good thing, will not feel guilty because we are paid.
Personally, even though I don't join the signature campaign, I will still contribute to this forum because it will be good for the accounts we have.

This forum is not only about the signature campaign, but it is still more broad. Everyone has different goals, with these differences, it creates discussion in this forum.

I came to understand that most users come to contribute positively because of the present of signature campaigns getting paid in doing that
It's usually the other way around. Users contribute positively and by virtue of this have a better chance of ranking up and joining signature campaigns. Of course some newbies are motivated to join the forum because of the perceived rewards that could be earned, but I do not think that is enough to keep a user on the forum regularly as a newbie and guide them to become Full members or Sr. Members (as this are the minimum ranks one can usually earn from). If one is solely motivated to earn from the forum, they'll likely get frustrated if the merits do not come as fast and get stuck at lower ranks or look for other ways to get it, which could get them banned.

let's take an instance, if signature is banned, could users take part in this forum again? Very few.
While activity would surely drop, I don't think 'active members' would completely abandon the forum, leaving very few. They'll just probably log in less frequently.
Members who are interested in Bitcoin and those who hold a couple of it would still stick around here to discuss relevant topics.

I also understand that members of this forum learns and teaches by simply reading others people's ideas and way of answering questions to lighten up their IQ, by doing such they are getting paid for that. It is here that I have seen that learners are paid, teachers are also paid.

Every post must have delivered with an intent to share and let others learn. However, due to topic which is somehow irrelevant, the replies too will become irrelevant and are boring to read. Most likely generic post have been generated due to signature campaign qouta to reach every week to get paid especially the altcoins bounties section. There are bunch of projects in that section that are actually scam and that offer work which will not pay. Sad reality and that is why I had move out in that section due to lot of trust issues with team handling the projects.

Signature is a lot like advertising. Different people participate in different signature campaigns. These are overseen by the project manager. There are many restrictions on signature such as scams, fraud, deceptions, etc. Signature campaigns are motivated by thoughts, intentions of help, opinions, etc.

Would someone be guilty of posting just to get paid ?
No, no one will be convicted but remember it is not the only way to earn. It is a platform for the overall concept and reality of Bitcoin. So, it should be posted with caution.

The purpose of this forum is for users with various knowledge in the crypto space to come together and share knowledge and engage with other users. That is self dedication but since the idea of getting paid for wearing signatures and avatars got introduced, it motivates users to post which is also a win for this forum's statistics growth. I post to contribute to the forum.

This forum is made for exchanging information, discussing the world of crypto, blockchain, decentralization, and anything related to crypto. You are right that we are getting paid because of the campaign, every campaign has a different rate.

If you are asking me about what is my reason for posting then I have two reasons, first is to participate and contribute to the forum, second is because the campaign is paying me for the posts that I am creating.
Likewise, I have been in this forum for a long while and I always make sure that whenever I am posting with the intent to meet the requirements of a campaign I joined in, I also make sure that all of the data I've been telling is reliable and valid. Through that way, I can make sure that I am not just doing it just to earn money but also to enlighten other people like me who have lots of questions up until now about the system of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. I have the purpose to help and earn whenever I am posting here in this forum and I hope I am able to help some people at some point.

Everyone have their own reasons why they are here, some don't care about wearing signature campaigns as they are here to gain knowledge about crypto only and some want to make some money and gain something in return during the process too, there is no rules that says this is wrong, only spammers and rules breaker won't stand a chance, leave the forum judgements to those in charge (admins), to remain on this forum you have to make contributions, that's all that matters

I have seen most of you carry a different signature banner on your profile. I know that you get paid for the advertisements that you distribute throughout the forum space because of the signature you use. Only a small proportion of you may not be paid anything from the signatures you use.

The last few days I've learned a lot and noticed how people keep posting ideas, answering questions, sharing knowledge, and so on. What is your goal in posting ? Would someone be guilty of posting just to get paid ?

Sorry if this is a silly question from a beginner.

To begin with, this forum was created in order to share your ideas, knowledge, and news about the cryptocurrency world. As this is the biggest and most famous forum currently, lots of users advertise their projects/tokens in this forum due to the incoming traffic that visits this forum daily. Due to that, signature campaigns were created in order to serve as a form of advertising.

Now, most users participate in a signature campaign since it gives you income depending on the required number of posts weekly. In a cryptocurrency enthusiast, this is like living in two worlds at the same time- you get to share your passion and experience while at the same time being paid for doing the thing that you love.

As long as the user does not spam, scam, or otherwise cheat in the campaign, then I see no problem with it.

The purpose is a discussion forum is to discuss by sharing ideas, assisting those who needs it and try as much as possible not to spam or shitpost. This is my first signature campaign, wanted to give it a try and i must say it makes no difference to me that's why i chose a campaign that will accept even 5 post weekly as I don't want to be under pressure to have to post when it's not needed. I do read more than posting still.

I don't think someone who does good quality post should feel guilty for wearing a signature or should be blamed unless it's shitposting.

The question is, what is the purpose of your post? To discuss your curiosity right? You see that's one of the purpose of the forum forum hence getting paid to post what you would post anyway ain't a bad thing.

The reason why I post is to contribute in this forum, to give thoughts, opinions, knowledges that I know. I want to share you all the positive information so that you can somehow benefit it and help you in life. I also give warnings towards scammers, give ideas how to trade, what are the benefits of cryptocurrencies, and etc. We are building a crypto community here where we should support its existence and make it into mainstream. Bitcoin is one of the reason why I came here in this forum because it really changed my life 4 years ago.

OP, let me answer your question as best I can. I hope this will give you more insight into staying on one of the best bitcoin discussion forum to date.

The last few days I've learned a lot and noticed how people keep posting ideas, answering questions, sharing knowledge, and so on.

Okay, I hope you don't stop here. Continue your adventure.

What is your goal in posting ?
Personally I believe this is my way to discuss and share knowledge, experiences and many other things with forum members. I think the answers to these questions will be largely the same and it's no surprise that we were paid for it. This is a discussion forum, without posting maybe you will only be considered as a reader (guest).

If you have plenty of time to read, then read through this thread. You will understand a lot about signature campaigns that might confuse you.
- Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign)
Would someone be guilty of posting just to get paid ?
No, they won't be guilty as long as they don't break rules like publishing spam and junk. Most spam and useless posts will be reported for deletion, so you shouldn't hesitate for these people to do it just to be paid. Most managers will evaluate the quality of participants posts at each period of the week. While there is no guarantee that managers can completely prevent spam posts, they will at least supervise all participants in the right way.

Sorry if this is a silly question from a beginner.
No, but I'm sure the same question has been asked before for a long time.

What's wrong?
discussion and sharing in forums we have information, newbie users learn from reading the comments column and that is very helpful.

Its a fact that most users are motivated to post because they're getting paid. But if you're making a quality post and contributing something useful by sharing what you know in return, then you're doing your responsibilty to become qualified to receive payment from the campaign you're in. Its not different for having a real job, do the work and get paid while you learn further about crypto through other member's knowledge and experience.

In my case I decided to register in this forum because I want to expand my knowledge about bitcoin. When it comes to crypto everything you need to know is already here. The signature campaign is just a bonus because you have the opportunity to earn while engaging yourself in a conversation. I cant deny that its an advantage for someone like me to have an extra income through sig campaign especially when this pandemic hits us that cause our company to close temporarily. I think what important is you're exerting an effort for your every post regardless if you are part of a signature campain or not.
