We do need bitcoin because bitcoin is life for those who are crypto addicts. There are things that we know as part of our life. So I think bitcoin is not just decentralized and digital currency but it is also a possible lifestyle of everyone. The habit to do the given task by the campaign or by the admin.

We really need bitcoin because we want to make money and also we want our money to be safe. Bitcoin is the most independent coin that can not only grow money but also keep our money safe. It also show us many ways of trading in digital business world. In cryptocurrency bit coin I'd now no.1 for any choice we made.

Aside from what you have mentioned, privacy and anonimity is the main reason why some people need bitcoin. However in my opinion, there is no absolute reason why bitcoin is really a NEED unless you are a really private person. In my opinion, this is just a hehlp, an aid in buying and selling online with easier and cheaper transaction and a type of investment that can be an alternative. But overall, i am grateful that bitcoin is present in my everyday life.
Now Bitcoin is needed as a means of earning, on the exchange rate difference. It is also convenient for investing in ICO.

Bitcoin is the one and only independent coin because if you buy some altcoin you must have Bitcoin coin so all the altcoins are depends on Bitcoin and this coin is always ruling the crypto market. I'm not sure if that is the crucial advantage of bitcoin, as with fiat you can simply hold the cash at home for instance, which could be the same as holding bitcoin in your computer.
