Personally, I prefer to use paper wallets and hardware wallets.
These are the safest yet secured to store our coins. Paper wallets, just print as many as you want then place it in different areas. Ledger nano as hardware wallet, it's quite pricey but it's worth the price.

You should store your bitcoins local on a machine that you just connect to the internet, if you want to transfer coins. Dont store your coins in a online wallet, because you never now who is behind the service! You should also buy a Trezor to protect your access to your wallets!

5. Transfer your coins on Bittrex Wallet and use 2 way Authentication.

Wow, really? It's the first time I hear Bittrex has a wallet. Will read and check it out.

Ledger nanao may meanbe you ,,is smartcard-based hardware wallet. The private key is created and signed offline in the secure environment of the smartcard, in case of theft, crack or lose the entire wallet can be re-created

In my suspicion more secure is a hardware wallet. These wallets are bits of hardware, external devices like USB sticks which you can carry around on your person. An added benefit of a hardware wallet is the complete anonymity with which you can transact. There is no personal information linked to the hardware, so no identifying data which could be leaked. Hardware wallets are resilient to malware, and if you happen to lose the wallet you'll be able to recover the funds using a seed phrase.

Don't trust any website and app based wallet as they do not provide any private key or don't just store a huge amount of bitcoins to them, safest way is to use offline based wallet and trusted application for PC like bitcoin core or electrum, use print out paper wallets or if you want to invest on securing your coins you can buy Trezor, KeepKey or Ledger Nano S.
Secure your email and provide a long and not common passwords, learn more how the bitcoin and blockchain security works.
Last one is do not entrust anyone specially with your private key.

Keeping the paper wallet along with the private keys in a secure manner is the best way to protect the bitcoins. Other than which offline desktop wallets were preferred than the online wallets to have the best of security. Keeping the bitcoin on exchanges were not at all recommended, but I don't have such a thinking as most are good with their services.

Paper wallet I'd say, print a couple of copies off, keep one in your safe and the other at a secure location, it'll be as safe as your money at the bank, more so in fact since they can't just help themselves to it as easily as cash.

Best and easiest Hardware Wallet is Ledger nano S
I don't have that kind of wallet, because actually i heard it for the first time. And i want to buy that kind of hardware wallet for my bitcoin, cause i think that is safe ( like what you said ) for the hacker. And i heard Trezor also like Ledger Nano S, and thats why i want to buy it someday for my secure purposes.

Safty and security is very important to protect our wallet.
so we can use some way
# don't share or post your private key,
# Always Bittrex wallet use 2 way Authentication
# most of time use scaner to check your account.
# ofline wallet

Also have a better securety softwer
# Ledger Nano S
# Trezor
It's very necessary to use by protect our bitcoin wallet.

In addition, I am safer to break the bitcoin into altcoin, or directly convert bitcoin to Fiat. I prioritize a market that has layered security, KYC does not matter the origin of the balance awake and not just disappear. Hardwallet is the best choice but not too familiar to use. Antivirus is also a very important factor to prevent malware.

i have a question about the safest way to protect you bitcoins sure some will say use safe software wallets but what about hardware i want to buy one and i am still in bit of doubt i honestly thought about Ledger wallet what do you think about it?
1. Dont let anyone know that you have it. Your identity will be a starting point for them to know your email and password. Unfortunately there are still people around using their personal information like Birthday as password and their name as email add.
2. Don't post the BTC address where you put all your BTC.
3. Use 2FA if available.
4. Dont keep your passwords in any of your file in your PC.
5. Dont use public PC for transacting Bitcoin (Send or Receive).
6. Avoid using public Wifi when accessing your BTC wallet.

It is important to have some good habits for safety  your bit coins.
1. Hard ware like PC, LAPTOP etc lock with strong password.
2. Do not allow others to use it.
3. Do not save your password with browser.

Good question about safety of your bitcoin, your hard earned money. Hackers are working round the clock to breach security.
The hardware is not more important for this purpose.
Your PC/ Laptop/Mobile must be password protected.
Do not allow anyone to use it.
Do not save your password & private key in the computer. Keep them separately in the pen drive. One extra copy of pen drive must be in your locker.
Always use private browsing when working with wallet.

If you don't have hard wallet you should now, alot of work has been done on most of these hard wallet and they keep imporn=ving them, there are the best available means now of saving your coins and tokens
Yes i agree with this , the problem is that most hardware wallets don't support most altcoins.

Maybe its a good thing because if one wallet could be used to store several different altcoins based on different blockchains I honestly think this would turn out to be a vulnerability, that's why specialisation is important if we want to safety. But as far as I know, they don't get any better than the Ledger wallets. get one and tell us your personal experience.
Thanks for your information, bitcoin master. Now, I have many more information about altcoins safety Smiley
