In my views. i think that you must have to consider investing not just to btc for also for those promising alts in the crypto market. We cannot blame on the people on the choice of their preference where they consider investing to altcoins maybe just to put some diversion and experiment as to which is better to invest.

Yes there are way too many altcoins on the market. bring on regulation I say. The altcoin market is just too diluted and it seems everyone these days is a quick dumper at exchange. you get to the point where there is little choice but to do the same or risk a below ico price...or waiting 12 months for some rebound / beta / mainnet etc to arrive and maybe boost the price.
Maybe he's talking about the altcoin forum and putting effort into the chat ( because there's a lot of unreadable low value posting)

It really hurts when we loss a large amount of money, many says invest only at the amount you can afford to lose. I prefer that before investing cryptocoins you must study and research well all about cryptocurrency inorder to have some ideas and strategies to earn and to prevent from getting loss. Don't give up, do not sell your cryptocoins at a lower price. Sooner all your losses will be recovered because i really believe it will bounce back and will rise higher than your capital. Panic then sell at a lower price will just full you unto to losses, patience my friend and keep holding especially at those top altcoins.

I wasn't smart enough to keep my bitcoin for 3 years. Now, thanks to investing in various altcoins, I want to increase my monetary balance. Of course, now I'm increasing the amount of bitcoin and try not to waste it.
But with the current market, investments exclusively in bitcoin alone will not make me rich. Too huge capitalization. There are many smart developers in different industries. Why not invest money in their work?

It is because they are crypto enthusiasts just like other as stock market enthusiasts. People invest in anything be it crypto or other, they are involved in it and want to check their investment is giving profit or at loss. Another reason is the crypto is new and innovative idea which is a future in digital world.

No params. Apart from that, I have Altcoins where I make investments. I expect a long time. I hope the market will recover and we will start to win.

Cool! You have a right to your anger, and each to their investment.

And *chuckle* too.

Read: He is furious about not buying Litecoins when they were half a cent each.

Anyone who did made money. I can't deny that I would like to have made money.

The reason I am mad is that this hurts Bitcoin.
It hurts bitcoin?  Huh Huh
well, for me, without altcoins, bitcoin will not gonna move forward. if bitcoin price only increase because of investors, its price will surely crash. because everyone will hold for sure. but because of altcoins, the circulation of btc expands.

I'm also a bitcoin believer, and I think it hurts bitcoin.
More and more people put their money in many useless altcoins.

That wont happen with Litecoins.

Isn't it already the case?  AMD is the only vendor for efficient litecoin mining hardware, is it not?

No OP, you can't have your money printing machine a.k.a ASIC while the rest of the miners earn dirt.

What is wrong with OP thinking that there would only ever be ONE cryptocurrency in the world. Stop and think for a second how silly that sounds.

People like you are just mad because it eats into the market share of Bitcoins... that's all it is and you know it.

yes, and?

Therefore you have no rational basis for the global economy not to accept Litecoins. It's an emotional response on your part.

OP you are a dumbass.

"I'm gonna cry because you support alt chains....wah wah wah"

No one gives a flying fuck what you think. Our choice, our lives. Do what you wish, but don't presume you have any say in what we do with your crying.

Have a nice day!  Grin Grin Grin

Eh, I like you smoothie, I just don't like altcoins.

For example, Litecoin is currently "ASIC-proof" ..
What's so good about being "ASIC-proof"?
It just makes it a safe haven for bot-net operators, doesn't it?

Not that I would care, just wondering.

Once designed, ASICs can be produced in large quantities at very low cost.
At the moment, ASICs vendors can sell their production to the miners community, so no issue.
But once the market is saturated, the most profitable (and only logical) choice for ASICs vendors will be to enter the mining business. This effectively puts all the power in the hands of ASIC vendors.

That wont happen with Litecoins.

And a safe haven for governments to flip processing power to 51% instead of having to purchase or develop dedicated equipment.

ASIC-Proof is a downside.
