Mining signatum and dumped my shit bags at the all time high at 14 cents to the unfortunate noobs that got hyped up over signatum.  Smiley
And laughing as it goes to zero.

I still got half of my bags left in case it ever revives

Also mining chaincoin at 6-10 cents and watching it go towards $6.  I unfortunetly held most of it Sad

Thats shitcoins for ya.

Oh yeah, remembered those, I'd just started mining at that moment then zec came out, mined it a few months with very nice profits, your eyes are always on your rigs as anytime it would crash..lol  Cheesy then there were times on forum calling out people to hold their zec coins due to significant price drops  Cheesy hahaha

Well it seems again that  mining is entering the territory of where mining profits = electricity cost

It's been a great 2 years of mining.

What is your greatest mining moment ? It can be when you started mining recently or when you CPU mined BTC with your Celeron processor back in 2010.

Mine would most likely be the launch of ZCash back in Nov 2016.

The ZCash launch was like no other. It's was a highly anticipated launch with a lot of interest and attention. There was even  a bunch of cloud mining companies go online just to provide ZCash cloud mining.

There were many GPUs miners which ran like crap. Genoil miner was famous for running 5 minutes and then crashing. We had to put it into a restart loop. Basically run 5 minutes and automatically restart which it would most likely crash. Claymore miner wasn't out yet.

The moment of launch was huge. Supernova pool and others were online. However most of the other pools had problems with payouts.

When it was finally listed on Poloniex price was a staggering $10,000 per coin. And as soon as the deposits were confirming the rush set in. To mine as many coins and possible and sell at 10BTC/ZEC.

Fortunately i started late but in that day I managed to ROI a GPU or two. The people who had more hashpower and managed to get the first deposits on Poloniex most likely ROI'd an entire rig.

Those were fun times and no sleep in Nov 2016. Because the miners were buggy and there were daily software upgrades that you had to take advantage of to get an edge. Profitability wise it was similiar to Jan 2018, but that first day of launch was simply crazy.
