Don't use Wasabi in the same sentence as "mixer." Some people can get offended by it and start screaming.
But Wasabi fall under the category of decentralized mixers so they are still mixers. Or am I wrong?

Definition of mixer getting blurry these days. In past, i'm sure it refers to centralized service where you need to trust them. But these days, some people also include all form of CoinJoin as mixer.

I think I saw on a thread that Kruw posted about this that people can still use Wasabi conjoin. His posts was after the news that Wasabi no longer providing conjoin service. I hope he will get notified for me mentioning his username so that he can post here also.
You can still participate in coinjoins with the Wasabi wallet. It hasn't stopped. Wasabi's default coordinator, zkSNACKs, has stopped its operation. You can't connect to zkSNACKs any longer to participate in coinjoins, but you can do so using any other coordinator if you want, including the one operated by that person you mentioned. The worst human being on Bitcointalk.

FYI, there some website or webpage which list WabiSabi coordinator such as https://wabisator.com/. In fact, there are other CoinJoin wallet out there such as GingerWallet (fork of Wasabi Wallet).

I am pretty sure that Wasabi doesn't use the term "mixer" in any of its documentation online. It's semantics. Some say you mix coins together. Others will say they join different inputs and make coinjoins in order to break the connection between inputs and outputs.

What is your favourite BTC Mixer and why?

All mixers should work on the same principle, and the only difference that can lead someone to select one as a favorite is obviously the one that has the least fees for its service. The one that was the biggest favorite with most people had no fees (they were voluntary), today it no longer exists - and all the others that exist today are not too different from each other.

It would be interesting to find out how well today's mixers passes a test like this -> Breaking Mixing Services

If Theymos wants to play it safe with no links, ok. But to enslave yourself to not talk about names....
Considering the many arrests related to privacy-giving services, theymos' decision seems justified.

I think the main  problem was when sinbad was seized but they said everything was fine and they would come back in a few days lol

Then theymos said it became a dark web service, and this is not a dark web forum. I agree that his decision was made thinking about his and the forums safety in the long term.

From Wasabi to Blender.io what are your thoughts on a still private mixer?
Don't use Wasabi in the same sentence as "mixer."
Wasabi also has a policy of separating tainted coins, so I wouldn't put them in the same category. I guess maybe one day they will ask for KYC if they think that the coins are of dubious origin.  Sad

Don't use Wasabi in the same sentence as "mixer." Some people can get offended by it and start screaming. I liked ChipMixer. Sadly, it was taken down with a coordinated effort of several governments and agencies who care for us and our wellbeing very much. People who hadn't yet withdrawn their chips from the mixer's custody ended up losing their coins. Everything got confiscated. I guess we will never find out how much user data government agencies got from the servers.

Greetings
The technology is there but there is not enough liquidity to use decentralized mixers, so using centralized mixers is faster but it requires trust in these services and unfortunately few mixers are trustworthy.

I can say that jambler and mixero are the best currently but due to the governments war on privacy services in mixing services it is rare to find a continuous mixing service for years without problems.

The best solution is to use Monero to break the link between your inputs and outputs.

100%, OP.

But if you want clean (as in, no AML score) bitcoins, you should use one of the Jambler mixers.

Basically, according to the government, mixers are used for money laundering, and there are even reports that terrorists use....

You are QUOTING THE GOVERNMENT as reputable source??
This is what i meant when i said what a big bs this all has become...

Whenever someone tells you next time he will solve the problems of democracy, privacy and so on tell him between solving problems with new technology and giving people their rights back and total bullshit is only 13 years

2011: Fuck the government. Crypto Anarchism
2024: "I don't know if we can mention just the NAME of a mixer we might get arrested"....
I get what you're saying.... I don't like the government's actions either, but we live in a world where laws govern us, and people aren’t decentralized or anonymous. If we don’t follow the rules, there are consequences. If the forum didn’t see ads on mixers as a threat, they’d still be here. You see the point? Sometimes, it’s about playing by the rules to avoid bigger problems.

If Theymos wants to play it safe with no links, ok. But to enslave yourself to not talk about names....
We can talk names but not links.(that's the rule)

Advertising Mixer is already ban in the forum, I'm not sure if we are allowed to talk about it here or recommend.

Yeah, the same thought crossed my mind. On Altcointalk though, all doors would be opened.

Since you include Wasabi (which support WabiSabi CoinJoin), i would say i prefer non-custodial ones where i don't give up ownership of my coin. Although these days, CoinJoin which isn't very hard to access with some volume are limited to WabiSabi, JoinMarket and joinstr.

What has happened to crypto? Sometimes i think what a big bullshit all of this has become. Blackrock invests in Crypto...
But anyways you understood the post wrong your are not allowed to "advertise" Mixers. Of course we can discuss mixers, just don't put the url in it....
The government is very powerful, and they're cracking down on mixers, so Theymos' decision to eliminate that risk was the right move. Otherwise, if something happens, the forum could get caught in the middle, and a lot of people would be affected. Basically, according to the government, mixers are used for money laundering, and there are even reports that terrorists use them to finance destructive weapons. Naturally, this puts them on the government's radar, making it easy for them to seize the mixers, confiscate the Bitcoin (which becomes government income), and throw the people behind the mixers in jail.

I'm not using mixer, but after take a look from this site, mixtum and coinomize are trustworthy because they've been around for long, they also have active promotion. But, if someone looking for cheaper one, they can use jokermix.

You and we can't named the mixer in this forum you may already know from the above post.
No, we're all allowed to mention the mixer we like in this forum.
