Whenever I feel down or got down because some bad things happen, I always keep some things in my mind. I always think that God has a good reason why he have put me to go through this thing and he has better plans for me. I also instill to myself that this suffering or feeling will pass away and might be followed with consecutive good happenings. Having this in mind keeps me motivated in my everyday life.

every crisis of my life ends the same way - I'm getting stronger. Sometimes I have to part with unnecessary people, sometimes I disappointed someone. And in these moments, I realize that everything depends on me. I realize that I no longer have to wait on someone to care, it is useless

When I'm upset or getting down I'm talking to God and ask him why this happen to me. Then after that I will think something of the events or happenings that is more worse than what I'm going into. Then I sing a song to make me feel better.

Everybody have this experience, we all get up and we all get down. When we get down in any situations, we need the strength to get up, to continue what we believe, what we want, what we dream. But when we get up, at the top, sometimes we forgot what we feel when we're in bottom.

I experienced this, and the thing that give me motivations is my dreams in my mind. for me, there is nothing more powerful than my dreams. after this usually i just sit down, light my smoke, said to myself that i can do it, i can release this bad feeling. and after that, i pray to GOD, please give me stronger shoulder than before so i can hold it, and keep me in GOD arm.

i am curious about what is your motivation when you gets down? what exactly you do to get up in this situation? thank you.

PS : don't copy my habits in smoke because its not good for you  Grin

In work environment, the load increases but the salary is pretty much the same.  The motivation of having a family and people to look forward to after each day motivates my momentum to strive harder, especially for my son.  I really want him to look up to me for guidance when he grows up and he feels the same.  Even if the salary was a heavy paycut from what I did before in the same working environment, I continue work but look into opportunities along the way.

When I feel down, my motivation starts with thinking who I was before, what are the things that made me reach this far, what I had gone through and everything happens for a reason. I might feel down but I will have a moment when I will realize that I am wasting my time because I know myself. I can fight with all the struggles in life as I have been there before, many times. Right now I'm down, posting here at the forum just to make my day feel alive.

I haven't really found it yet actually. Sometimes I just listen to some music, go to gym or something like that, but I can't really find any motivation in those "Motivational speeches" or "videos", I find them demotivating (how does that work? I dunno) Huh

firstly stop smoking Grin I could tell trust me, smoking crashes your priorities. And in fact you don't need motivation to live, It's basic instinct of human Tongue if you feel so then you are only lazy. And of course have at least one person you truly love/like/care/enjoy being with her/him.

Whenever I feel down, and realise that I'm not in control anymore, what I tend to do is force myself into a "robot"-mode.
It's a form of self-imposed discipline where I just force myself into a strict regiment again.

It doesn't matter what I do then, but it has to be regular and repetitive and show quick results that make you feel good. Get stuff done! Start with the small things.
This is what will ignite the next big motivation cycle again and build new momentum so that I can return back to normal.

I will give suggestion to me that "There are many poor people than me", so you should be grateful to your life. Or if I get down because I failed to something, I will try to say that just a practice. Just like in game, if you want take down a boss you should have more practice. And if you failed, just try again and try again until you can do it.

Yeah, smoking causes cancer eventually Grin

I am a christian and my faith in God has stabilized me through some very rough periods in my life.

I believe God controls all things and will reward me for my life on Earth, so I press on doing what I know is right and things become bearable after that.
