Trading is not easy, you may have a good knowledge of the market but those who do not understand this crypto currency will loss a lot when trading for the first time. But if he wants to develop himself as an expert trader then he needs to acquire a good knowledge about cryptocurrencies, not only about trading. So I say don't go trading without good knowledge about crypto currency otherwise you will loss and get disappointed. Later you will have no desire to trade.
Well OP congratulations to you, you on the right forum to learn how to trade you just need a little bit of cash and time, well when trading there are a lot of things you are to learn for example you need to have a good knowledge about cryptocurrency
How it started and so many lot more, for trading you can get some online and offline classes too careful…..

You wanna know the best best way to start investing into BTC? Set aside a monthly budget that you are willing to comfortably spend and continue accumulating btc for a good couple years. Maybe in 10 - 15 years you will either be super rich or have lost most of it.

My DCA Bitcoin fund runs out in this February, and yes it is quite tiring because it started last year, especially with the volatile market situation and also boring because of the long sideways, to hold it I plan to hold it until the end of this cycle, even if the pattern in the cycle repeats like the same decline and increase after the ATH is created, and undergoes correction again, like before.

But I have a view that for the next cycle it may be different because bitcoin in this cycle is different, I have optimism that bitcoin adoption will grow significantly until the next cycle, because bitcoin will start looting more people if the ATH in bitcoin this time is created again.

currently I don't own any Bitcoin, so I am working on the first part of the the Bitcoin Plan, which is acquiring some bitcoins, My Goal is to at least acquire 1 BTC by the end of this yar, that would be a good start for me. then I'll think what to do with that. I am not good at HODling, so I would probably use them for trading or find another way to increase the amount.

OP I've been investing my bitcoins with the dollar cost averaging method for several years like you. But my plan is not so big like yours. The dollar cost averaging method is best for those who do not have the money or ability to purchase large amounts of bitcoins at once. Those with low incomes can invest in Bitcoin very comfortably using the Dollar Cost Averaging method. My plan is that I want to hold Bitcoin for 10 years and sell it when the price of Bitcoin goes above $100,000.

I am investing or saving my bitcoins for my children's future. My plan was to invest in bitcoins when my investment in bitcoins completes ten years when my child is about 13 years old then I will use my investment money for him
that's a good future planning. but I don't think Bitcoin would take 10 years to go above 100K. you would most likely see that happen sooner than that. until then keep stacking up your bitcoins  Wink

Hi all,

I started investing in crypto February this year but due to the high price of Bitcoin did not start investing in it until mid June just after the crash.

Since then I have been DCA every week and currently own 2% of a Bitcoin at an average price of £17,900.

My goal is to hold Bitcoin until it reaches £500k - £1m, i know it will take a long time but will be worth it.

I am hoping these current prices last a lot longer so that we can all continue to DCA at low prices.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?

I buy 0.4 BTC in december 2022 when price was around $17,200 . My goal is not to touch this money until 2030. I expect Bitcoin to be around 100K$-120K$ by 2030."

There's one thing I understand in Bitcoin and there's also wanting I understand in investment these two things if you understand the concept of Bitcoin and also understand the concept of investment you will know that both of them is the very different but the working collaboration only if you understand investment aspect and they also understand bitcoin and the cryptocurrency entirely, is good for someone to make a very good research before entering into investment and it is also good for someone to notice what bitcoin is all about and also understand it very well before you invest the money in Bitcoin.

Do you know that this has been the reason why so many people do wrong investment because they don't have the time to make a properly search for investment they want to go into, so from my findings I think that it is good to make a research analysis before to end by into any investment because investment is all about risk and that is every possibility that you may invest your money no matter how amount is the money enters into the wrong side of investment

Secondly is good for someone to invest in what he knows about than to invest in what you don't know about that is the beginning of some people stand for because the invest when they have not done a proper investigation so they believe that investment will result out positively to them why they have not noticed the Investment very well, so that is why you don't say that you should invest in what you can afford to loose so that when the Investment goes wrong you will not be depressed

I would love to hold Bitcoin in my wallet because I know that for sure it's going to be a great asset even if not now, in the nearest future I believe betcoin is still going to rise again

So I think owing a bitcoin is going to be one of my major priority this year, and not just owning one but also put in more effort in studying and analyzing it's patterns too.

Well, yeah we are doing the same here DCA for me is safer though I only have few portions of Bitcoins weekly through a sig campaign but still it is what it is for investment purposes. No matter how small or big our investment is it does not matter and what is important here is that we got Bitcoins to hold for years.

The main thing which matters a lot is the initiation of bitcoin investment so if you are able to buy bitcoin at weekly, or monthly basis then you are lucky and as you are earning money through signature Campaign and use it for bitcoin investment then it will make you a wealthy person one day because from your goals and hardwork it seems that you are handling all the things very well.

DCA method for buying bitcoin is one of the safe and profitable way and every person who wants to become bitcoin holder should adopt this technology. No one can buy whole bitcoin therefore if someone has little savings throughout the week or month then this saving can be used for investment if a person has firm believe on bitcoin investment.

I'm doing a DCA as well, it's the easiest and best solution in my case. I think that after we pass $100k probably I would start selling little by little, in my opinion in the next bull run I don't think we'll be able to go beyond $150-160k, that's why at $120k I may sell 20%, at $130k another 20%, and so on. The idea is to buy again at a discounted price. I don't care selling at the top or buying the the bottom, whoever is able to do that is just plain luck and it happens maybe once or twice, so even if my timing is not the best I don't care, I'll be happy anyway.
As long as you bought during the bear market or the accumulation phases, you will make a profit during the bull market. Profit is profit and we should be happy because of that. I personally believe that selling portion by portion is a good way of liquidating our assets during a bull market, I had done it in the past and I'm planning to do it again when the bull market comes. This make sure that you won't have any regret in selling it all in a somehow undesirable selling price.

Taking profit is important thing to do and buying an asset again to roll your money is much more important. I failed to understand and execute it in the past that's why I had a bad bear market in the past.

Since the date you made this post until now, has there not been a bitcoin OP for sale? because if yes, then it is good that you are making a plan that you will only sell when 500k of each bitcoin arrives. Then the DAC is really an effective way for us to save Bitcoin.

It's just that right now, it seems like it will be difficult for me to do that because of my priorities, which must come first. Maybe if I only had a lot of extra money, it would be easy for me to do that, because right now it's easier to see if I can see savings in the future through potential altcoins, to be honest.

A holder must have a long-term plan, but he himself is well aware of the amount he can buy or hold. It will largely depend on a person's financial situation and his long-term plans. Those who want to invest for the long term want to grow their portfolio by pursuing DCA. In applying this strategy on hand there is no financial pressure on the investor and on the other hand he can be a big investor in Bitcoin. If you keep investing for long term then surely you can reach your destination. Many investors are so interested in the beginning but when the price of Bitcoin drops a little or they need money, they withdraw the money. If you want to invest for the long term, you should invest money in such a way that even if you lose money, it will not affect your everyday life.

My plan: Hold as much as I can afford to hold long term. When needing cash flow, then aim to sell in lots around 1 year after each halving. Buy back in around DCAing in around 1-1.5 year before each halving.
That is a very good plan and also quite appropriate for you to do as long as you have the ability and a greater level of patience. Because often I see some people who find it very easy to say things like that, but not so easy to do it, especially for the duration of what you said. Sometimes any plan will not go smoothly because there is the influence of temptation which comes naturally to each individual, so that is when their patience begins to be tested well and those who are not patient enough will definitely give up by giving up what they have previously bought.

You have a plan for a big period well Dollar Cost Averaging is best for those who get salaries monthly or weekly or bi-weekly based so they can invest any amount according to their plans well Your reply reminds me one of my thread which I started to make the good difference between lump sum vs DCA. DCA is good for those who do have not much amount to invest at once and Lump sum is good for those who have big capital of money and no need to track the BTC prices daily they just buy at good prices at once and hold it for the long term until they reached their goals. Here is the link to the Topic started by me>>>"Lump sum Vs DCA" for Bitcoin Accumulation have a look here with best replies of members.

as long as you are working in adding your holding then it would be great to wait till that target price and that made you a really HODLER , because not like others that pretend they are one but when bitcoin just multiplied the value they are selling right away.

My Goal is to at least wait till the price goes to 100k and above because I have lots of plans in the coming years and for me that success will let me extend my investment to the fullest , I may not be in crypto till then but will surely make my life and funds worth spending.

Everyone has the same plan and goal and eager to wait until Bitcoin reaches a million dollar. $500k is already a dream come true and could retire a lot of people already.

But are you sure that you're going to retire after that? I don't think so, money that you've profited from Bitcoin will not be moving anymore but then is subject to inflation and that's why it could be another start of a new journey in finance.

Most of us will still continue in investing despite retired already on their words but IMO, it gets boring when you have nothing to do.

Bitcoin I have longed my beanie sum for about a year and I want to keep it for a few more years. The longer the investment in Bitcoin, the more benefits and profits are possible. Still I continue with DCA method because I am successful holding bitcoins with DCA method. If you hold Bitcoin for a long time and control the greed then the investment will be long term. Those who quit investing too soon due to excessive greed will face the biggest losses. Learn to hold bitcoins, not sell them.

If you have set a target of 100000 dollars with your investment then you can reach your target very quickly. Reaching $100,000 is not my point. Various market experts have analyzed that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 next year after the halving. We know that Bitcoin halving is only a few days away so we can be sure that in 2025 Bitcoin can reach one hundred thousand dollars. Actually those who invest in DCA method do not set the price they set a fixed time after which they sell their investment.

I think the plan sounds simple but holding bitcoin for 10 years is not easy. You will actually do that if you temporarily forget about your investment and you are a well-off person with enough money to spend the next 10 years without needing this money . Except for those who bought and then forgot about bitcoin or rich people with excess money who can do this, for retail investors like us, I have not seen anyone who can do that.
I will however hold it for 10 years as I am financially well off. Apart from the Bitcoin investment method I have other side of earning money like I have a small business and I am working in a private company.
I judged everything and then decided to invest in Bitcoin and also decided to go long for ten years at best.

It's already been three years of my investment and I've been investing in Bitcoin monthly for these three years using Dollar Cost Averaging method. I decided to keep some of my earnings in the bank but later I decided instead of keeping it in the bank I invested it in bitcoins and I will extend that investment up to 10 years.
