There's an speculations that eth will have $5k this year, but it's not rest assured it will stay on that level. Because once when hit $4k as price go near to that price right now, there's a possibility that day traders will enjoy the benefits of it. Most probably price within the range moving forward to $5k will not be as fast as everyone expected due to short term players. Let me put a visionary that ethereum will have to reach $5k to $6k on January 2022 without any hindrance.
This is wild speculation about Ethereum price, when we see 2017 scenario, it will be $8k - $10k when we predict Bitcoin price at $80k - $100k level.

I would like to change the question of the topic to "what do you think will happen to market by January 2022" and that could potentially be the same answer. If the general market goes up then ethereum will go up and if there is a big down then the market will be down as well. It is just simply not possible for ETH to have a standable breakout at this point, not saying it is impossible but it is also improbable at the same time which is why I am expecting to be around market average movement.
ETH is at a very difficult stage to beat, leading a new cycle in September and creating huge momentum for the market. ETH will convert POS and token burn processes similar to BNB. At the same time, Sharding is still a healthy signal to motivate investors. I think these are the main factors that help ETH have the potential to surpass $15k next year. ETH is back in the 4k region and ATH will be soon.

My prediction for ethereum will be between $3,000-$5,000 
I am not sure about that because that will depend on how the bitcoin price will moves. If bitcoin price can break the barrier and go to $50,000-$60,000, it surely gives the opportunity for an altcoin to increase. Otherwise, ethereum will not break $4,500 or $5,000. We still have at least 3-4 months later to see how high ethereum will increase. So before the price can go to any high price, we have a chance to buy more ethereum.
I am not sure about that because that will depend on how the bitcoin price will moves. If bitcoin price can break the barrier and go to $50,000-$60,000, it surely gives the opportunity for an altcoin to increase. Otherwise, ethereum will not break $4,500 or $5,000. Eth is actually doing well in terms, the only drawback is the high gas fees, am still hoping they will fix that in the near future, aside that i believe eth by January 2022 will probably be trading above 5k depending on the market situation though, already the price is very close to hitting 4k, lets hope the market stays bullish through this year, eth is a super fast performing coin no doubt.
Actually ethereum really doing well right now wherein if it will continually making good results at this middle of year 2021, my prediction will be $5k.. Why not since most of the news of ethereum nowadays are really good and traders and investors were always optimistic because of that reasons..and for sure there's a FOMO as always that will drive the situation, so probably this situation will last until January and even 5k isn't enough if ethereum constantly increasing in my personal opinion.
It’s incredibly tough to predict that far ahead, but let me give my prediction.. So my prediction is ETHEREUM will gonna be arround 8-12k at that time then in the end of the Quarter 4 2022 it will hit more than $20k.. I’m very stoked to see what they’ll be at!

It is very difficult to predict the price of etherem for the future, but if you look at the statistics of the current movement of ETH, it is very possible that etherem will reach $5k in January 2022, of course on condition that BTC has to go even higher, because if BTC goes up then etherem too will follow the movement of BTC.
I personally don't expect that much of a pump from here. Maybe $5k tops.

To be honest, I still can't speculate how much Ethereum will be worth in January 2022, because it's certain that when the Bitcoin price goes up, the Ethereum price will also go up.

ETH will move to POS in the very near future, in this bullish market state. I think it will not be a surprise if Bitcoin and ETH will make a turning point in history. I predict ETH is 10k$ in the same trend and the condition is for bitcoin to go up more than 100k$

I believe that it will definitely be over 5k but that's about, I am not imagining ethereum going up insanely high, I can see it go up, but I can't see it go up insanely high.
It means that we are definitely going to survive this bear or bull shocking period where it goes up and down constantly and go into a full bull mode and go over 5k that part I am sure, but I do not think that it will go over 10k or something like that, it is really too high for right now. Obviously we all know it will be over 10k one day, we just don't know when that day will be.
It is challenging top at $10k but I think it is not impossible target. I think it is very hard to be hit but if FOMO hits its peak, $10k can be gotten. In 2017, we did not expect Ethereum has price above $1,500 or 0.15 BTC for one Ethereum.It means that we are definitely going to survive this bear or bull shocking period where it goes up and down constantly and go into a full bull mode and go over 5k that part I am sure, but I do not think that it will go over 10k or something like that, it is really too high for right now. I’m going to assume bitcoin will lead the way & hit north of 100k this year. ETH & alts will follow so i’m going to guess ETH will be $10,000 in Jan 2022.
This the most bullish one, and I’ll support this one because Bitcoin have to start the trend and altcoins will follow. Looking at the price of ETH now, its pretty good and any moment it can make a new all time high again. 2022 will be a great year hopefully no more virus so everyone can start to recover, I’ll go for $10k/ETH next year!
