The main purpose I gamble is to yield a profit from the house secondly is to have fun while playing. But sometimes it sucks because everyday is not a sunny day I lose a huge amount of money because of gambling in the other hand it's ok, it's part of the game. When I play I make sure not to involve my emotion and consume it by greediness because it will lead me to addiction.
I think you're insight was wrong because at first gambling is not meant to earn profits ,in the other side the owner or manager is .
Playing to have fun and entertainment is what gambling the second will be the profit if you are lucky enough or its just a bonus for us when we won. Losing huge amount is not the nature of gambling its your own fault investing and having profit in the wrong place.
Gambling for making money is not why most people start to play. It's for the thrills and fun which gambling gives.
You'll make some money out of it only if you win, that too if you have luck of taking that money out before you loose it again.

Yes we must play gambling to have just fun, If you expect anything from gambling then end of the day you will get nothing, and you will make your wallet empty. So just play gambling to enjoy the game, suppose if you win any amount think it is a bonus that's it. If you become greedy and again you play to make your winning amount double you will lose your winning amount on the same day.
that is true so we don't have to playing gambling with serious because we only playing gambling for fun. i think this is a good reason for us to not getting stress if we only get loss in that day, but many people make gambling as a work that can help them to make money. don't thinking to much from gambling and only use gambling as a games that will help you to gets fun in of your activity.
Some of us are doing this way, but most of us are doing gambling as a way to earn easy money, but they are not earning at all, in fact they are losing money most of the time, though there are also times that they are winning but the amount of money that they are losing is bigger than the amount that they are winning, so it is just a waste of time.
But, of course if you are always lucky in gambling, then you are going to do it always, since we are making profit out of it, but if you are losing, then what is the point of staying? Still hoping? I guess not, we better accept the fact that this is not our thing.
