does it have any possible a happy ROI. I know lots of people are on whatsapp which definitely would make a boost but going by the terms and condition its looking more centralized than it's proposed decentralized nature what do you think. is it worth risking, is it going to be a nice investment or would mark decide to act like musk who would influence the market at will?

I'm hearing WhatsApp coin for the first time in this thread, if it's real, then it's probably not listed yet. Although I think that developers can capitalize on important names for their coins to gain popularity, this does not mean that the coin has any affiliation with original owner of the name. Yesterday I heard of Satoshi coin, which I doubt the original Satoshi, has anything to do with the coin, my signature campaign, Eloncoin, which I'm yet to know if Elon Musk, is the owner, are examples of giving VIP names to new coins to gain massive popularity.

Make your choice of investment from crypto coins that are listed, not from the ones from hearsays, so you don't fall victim into the hands of scanners.

I still don't know if WhatsApp issues its personal token.  However, it seems that WhatsApp tokens are not as well known as Facebook tokens some time ago.  but this is certainly positive news for crypto fans in general

I am not aware of any token releases from the official whatsapp company. This is under Facbooks mother company meta so there would be an announcement on their official pages or social media if they  are going to launch any token. Your token is not listed in CMC too so be careful of buying any scam token. It would be better to do some research if you had provided some information like this twitter account or official website. There are members in the forum who have the skill to validate any projects authenticity.

It seems that this program is on everyone’s lips, but there is absolutely no hype around this coin, I think without media support this coin will continue to flutter somewhere behind the rating and nothing supernatural will happen regarding its price tag.

For some time now there have been several coins that has pop up in Crypto market, most are still on aidrop which they haven't been on mainnet. And people have aquared it. I have seen many United token Barcelona token and many more but haven't seen any of them popular. Most people use this coin yo attract investors mean while the original owner of the logo they potray is not awear. So such project is more of a fan or a meme token that Gain popularity on social media and falls withing the shortest period of time. So there is no guarantee that shows that it must be like the way Elon musk promoted Shiba Inu and Dogecoin.

It looks the answer is already in one of your sentence. Whatsapp is a famous app so obviously it can gain something and privacy or being centralized is supposed to be not your problem is your concern is only to make a profit. Right at the start I can tell that it is already not fully decentralized because it is a company and it is not like bitcoin that its main goal is to have a freedom but even bitcoin right now is not exempted from such regulation.

It is unavoidable thing so lets get used to it. Don't know bout you but having an influence is a plus point to have because it can drive adoption. This token is legit so it is worth risking than picking up random shit tokens out there.

I have never heard that the famous WhatsApp company which is now owned by Meta has released any of its token!!! I recently heard that WhatsApp supports payment via cryptocurrency only in some countries and not in all countries, while I did not hear that they launched any of their tokens.
You should always be careful when dealing with these things because scammers take advantage of the names of famous companies, applications and brands to trap victims, so you should pay attention and do more research before investing any dollar in this suspicious project.

whatsapp tokens? I thought this would never exist because whatsapp is under META control...

but I wonder, why do you mention this, have you ever seen a WhatsApp token sale, where is the link? nowadays there are lots of scam projects that use big names of other companies, without any official information from the official so don't ever trust them, save your time and money.
Not and never seen yet with Whatsapp token and I think looks is funny how come social media under meta controlling created token? what for Whatshap token created because Meta as controlling is never launching any token yet. If you see whatshapp group maybe discussing about cryptocurrency but still not have lunch yet with Whatshapp token. Still need to correct again before asking on the forum and checking actually have on forum or google discussing.

I tried to find the name of the Whatsapp token on CoinmarketCap and it doesn't exist either. If this is true token fraud means they have also violated the law for using other people's brands for their criminal purposes. It's really dangerous if it's true that they are currently holding an ICO and people who don't know will be trapped because the popularity of whatsapp is very interesting. That is the importance of analyzing first before deciding to invest.
And that should be a clear indication that this is a scam, after all if they are not worried about the possible copyright issues that something like this could bring them against a company against Meta, then what we can expect from them when it comes with dealing with the people that actually invest in their coin?

As such there is not a lot of room for anyone to say this is a legitimate coin at all, and I hope no one is naive enough to put any kind of money in a coin like this.

Do you know when WhatsApp Coin will be released?
There's no WhatsApp coin and this is just another fake coin created by scammer. I guess if you are reading some posts above you and you can see someone already mentioned awareness thread about this fake coin.

Even if there was a real whatsapp coin, it would have been worthless. Remember facebook intended to introduced a facebook coin Libra  but never released it as they got a very bad feedback about it.
All these Facebook, Whatsapp or Instagram real or fake coins are rubbish and we should not invest in them.

it will not be airdropped coz this fake coin and the real coin never exist. META has sold diem to the another company and why the hell meta is creating another coin for its messaging app.
I think that you need to read some comments above you and you will get full explanation about this fake coin. Be careful when investing your money.

There is nothing called what's app token at all and why would Mark get himself into trouble by getting into regulator's radar and I think even if he does it would be a centralized token but it will surely go bonkers due to strong back up as they have working product which we use in our day to day life and it would be worth investing, other techo giants will follow the same footstep if what's app launches the crypto token.

Now let's comes back to the OP,  I think OP has come across some scam token named what's app token as there is no official announcement about the same and j cannot find any link or website or details in CMC and Coingecko about it.

Perhaps, it was another for the scammers trying to trick people using the known apps. It is eventually enough and we shouldn't have to fall into this fake crypto project as this never exists and is not real.
You should consider searching first the credibility of the project before investing or else, you had become a victim to these scammers. And to ask it was worth risking, that is absolutely not. Don't waste your time and money in this projects, just a friendly reminder.

Scammers are out looking for easy victims ti defraud and they make use of popular companies to carry out there attacks. WhatsApp is own by Facebook which is now called Meta, if there was any interest in creating a token for their platforms they would have made an official announcement but since there is none, that means whatever you see out there are fakes created by scammers, you should avoid investing in them.
What the focus of meta at the movement is is investing in the metaverse and not creating tokens. They tried that before and failed so they are not going back as the result will be the same.

I don't know what's still keeping the name change or swap, officially. Everytime I log into my account, I expect to see Facebook changed to Meta. But it hasn't happened. Who knows when 🤷

The fact is that you are confusing the Meta company with the Facebook social network, in which you obviously have an account. It was the Meta company that was previously called Facebook. Thus, Meta Platforms is currently the owner of social networks such as Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.

You won't believe it; there are people who will fall for this cheap scam. Come to think of it, WhatsApp is overrated. There are better chat apps than WhatsApp, both for business and informal use.

But of course, it wouldn't be all rosy for Mark Zuckerberg. There must exist element of failure in his career, howbeit, which may not be well pronounced. Whatever happened to the aborted Libra.

Don't get into traps, because Meta who is the head of WhatsApp have already given a clarity that they are not into development of cryptocurrency. During the year 2017 they started working on Libra, later it got partnered with eBay, PayPal, mastercard and different service providers. Libra faced regulatory issues and it once again cleared that Libra will be launched only after the fulfillment of regulations. Further the same got rebranded as Diem to overcome the regulatory challenges. This year the project have been sold to Silvergate Capital. So far there is nothing with tokens related to WhatsApp and it's sister concern.

I don't know how you reached this source, but there is no such news. At least, I haven't seen any up-to-date information or news about it. If such a thing exists, we are talking about whatsapp, it will definitely be a very good money return. As a result, WhatsApp belongs to Mark Zuckerberg and I think it will finance it very well. But I don't trust him at all in the crypto money field. But as I said at the beginning, there is no such information yet, and most likely the scammers contacted you and they want to take your money.

This token has nothing to do with Meta (Facebook). The main goal of the organizers of this coin is to mislead market participants using a well-known brand. Yeah, this is what I'm thinking about. I never heard about this news before and people are getting fooled by fake token from the scammer. it seems that he was talking about the scam token that launched by scammer and it just speculate if that was coming from the meta company as parent company from the whats app. It's clear that what's app token is not even exist in and speculating about this token will be wasting our time only. I think that people have not yet realized this.

It's owned by Meta(Facebook).
Honestly, I thought that by now the name change would've been properly effected. Anyway, whatever that's delaying it, only Zuckerberg with his team knows. On the WhatsApp token, I think it's still a far dream. Until those proposing it wake up to pursue it, I'm classing it as the elusive Libra projected muted by Zuckerberg himself. Besides all that, I don't even think WhatsApp is exceptional to draw more attention. If it were to be Telegram, I would've been anxious for it to come to the market. I rate Telegram well above WhatsApp.
This is the second time in this forum that I’m seeing someone creates a thread and talking about WhatsApp coin. I don’t even know how they are getting such information, because there is nothing like that. The only coin that Facebook has ever tried to release, which we all know wasn’t a success, was Libra, which they later named Diem.

But, the project wasn’t a success due to the government never permitted it to happen. Now, Facebook has transitioned to Meta, which we all know today and it has been a trend. So there is nothing about WhatsApp token that is going to take place, because facebook is focused now on their new project which is  the Metaverse.
There is a very high chance that this coin is nothing more but a scam, and by that I mean I am sure of it, as something as big as that will probably be announced by the CEO of Facebook and make a great deal out of it, and since that is not the case then we can assume this is a scam coin.

However despite how evident this is for us I am sure there are going to be people that are going to fall in this scam and lose their money, as the name of the coin by itself is going to be enough to convince them to put their capital in it.

WhatsApp is a popular and as such we expect that if they are actually going into crypto - to own a token, then it should be in the popular news websites. To own a token requires that you need people to buy the token. We expect such move to be in the news. Secondly. there are many fake crypto websites in recent times that adopt major company names, some of the companies they use their names are not even into crypto. That is why websites like Coinmarketcap (CMC) are very useful as they help to locate the original website(s). In my opinion, I don't think WhatsApp have ventured into crypto, If they have, it will be in major news websites. Currently, WhatsApp is owned by Meta Incorporated, which also owns Facebook, Instagram and others.

Well, it seems like I’m missing something in the market. When was the WhatsApp coin released?
Because, I never get to hear anything about WhatsApp coin, and neither did Facebook announce that they are releasing a coin that is called WhatsApp token or coin, it wasn’t announced on the WhatsApp app and it wasn’t even announced on the Facebook app.

If Facebook was going to do such a thing then they would have announced it on any of their platforms, especially the Facebook social media app which has lots of users, as a way to let their users know that  such thing is being released. But there was no time that they made such announcement, so if he had seen such a coin that goes by that name , then it’s probably fake.

No no no no that's wrong. This token was not real and this is a scam token. If you are reading the whole thread carefully and then you will be facing that if this this token created by scammers and it's doing ico right now.

they have the same CEO now, of course it will be a fast ROI and big profit, only I think big cryptocurrency projects usually have problems with regulation, I hope they can overcome it.
There's no need to discuss even to the CEO. What you need to do to read the whole thread carefully and i hope that you will get your own answer. someone already made a scam awareness thread for this shit scam token.

If the concept is still not clear then its development will also be halted this year, but if their concept has started to clear the direction, I don't think there will be any problems as long as the team is willing to do hard work to advance their coins in the crypto space through everyone's trust

if there is really something like that,i’m gonna say that they are releasing such altcoin for the sake of adding features in their apps. trust me it’s gonna be used just for like paying some stickers and some gimmicks like that, although it could be used just like any ordinary tokens and maybe altcoins, it’s gonna be having very limited feature, it’s gonna be more or less the same as the existing tokens and altcoins, if you are expecting some kind of return of investment from it, i think this kind of altcoins released by big companies like facebook like this gonna be a lot more centralized and probably going to be just like any other stablecoins out there.
you shouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t meet your expectation because volatility is gonna be something that they hate.

that will happen when it was officially released by that company but it's sad to say that this is just another scam token which was not worth to be considered as a place to invest your money. Someone made a thread about that and this is confirmed as a scam token offering, stay away

First - I tried searching for the token on coinmarketcap but found nothing, so you probably should have added a link leading to the token on your post so that those seeing or hearing this for the first time might take a look.

Second - WhatsApp token, if there be anything like it, is in all sincerity not related to the whatsapp we all use, whatsapp is owned by Zuckerberg of Facebook, we all know that Zuckerberg tried launching he's own project called "META" which unfortunately, hasn't been successful of late, Zuckerberg never announced any launch of any token or project called whatsapp token.
So from my own perspective, I think the founders of this token are scammers trying to take advantage on the popularity of whatsapp to rip people off their hard earned money, so I would advice you and every one else interested in investing in this token do a proper research before making a decision.
Well, it could be true that a scammer or a group of scammers create this kind of token using the whatsapp name to rip off people's money but it could also mean that it might be a real token of Whatsapp but still I wouldn't take the risk until it is proven to be a scam token. I would go with the decision of staying away from this token even if the name is whatsapp token. This is much similar to the token made because of squid game.

I know lots of people are on whatsapp which definitely would make a boost but going by the terms and condition its looking more centralized than it's proposed decentralized nature what do you think. is it worth risking, is it going to be a nice investment or would mark decide to act like musk who would influence the market at will?

I good link would have been better.

But for sure this will be centralised so it will really depends on the individual, if he is willing to invest on such project because for sure there will be a lot of questions and this project might not start on good food.

Second, I'm sure you know who is the people behind whatsapp. And he has been in the limelight because his original project has been shutdown by regulators. And I have the hunch that it will happen again if he pushes with this project.

I've never heard of this before, I thought this was new news but after I checked on coinmarketcap it wasn't there, so this news is not true...

If such an event really took place, then we would have learned about it firsthand from Zuckerberg himself. Such events could not be overlooked by major news outlets. It remains a mystery to me how the OP found out about the existence of such a WhatsApp coin?

are you talking about this token whatsapp token airdrop why should buy it if can get it for free, and I'm not sure this token was officially launched from Meta, it is very likely that people use the name of this famous platform to trap many newbie investors for thinking this is official from whatsapp, the purpose this token only for pump and dump if developer really can listing this token in exchange

Anything is possible to give you a good ROI the only problem is whether this is a legit token or not. Many people believe that whatsapp never issue a token in crypto. Remember that even DIEM already dead as facebook already sold it to the another party. I do believe any token that used the name of popular guy or companies will always be result to be a scam token. You must be careful with this new token.
have you done any research before? what's the result from your DYOR. I never hear this before even it's not published by coindesk or cointelegraph.
Im feeling doubt if this is a real token from what's app. Probable another scam token.

WhatsApp is a part of facebook and if you don't know I remind you that Diem formerly named as Libra project was sold by Facebook recently to a bank so if you see any project in the name of WhatsApp of whatever it could be a scam project and don't spend even a penny because it is going to be completely lost.

Moreover, Mark is not yet interested in developing Whatsapp into a coin because we all know he is developing his own project with Facebook, namely Meta, so I think what the OP wrote above is not real.

It doesn't possible to give you happy ROI. It's a scam token. There would never be whatsapp token, I never see whatsapp was creating an annoucement about this. That's another shit scam token created by scammers.

Yeah om using whatsapp as well but this token is a fake token. It doesn't matter how centralized or decentralized it caused by the scam token is aiming for your money. it's not even worth risking your money to buy the shit scam token that has no any affiliation with its official company, I don't even see any correlation with musk. Remember that musk is only FOMOing meme token. that being said if it's different with the case of whatsapp token.

If this WhatsApp token is not associated with the Meta company, then this indicates that someone wants to make money using this trademark. Obviously, this coin is created for pump&dump, like many coins that try to use identical names of popular coins and people.

You need to be extremely careful, just because a token has that name it does not mean that it is affiliated to Whatsapp, in fact since there has not been any big news about something like that then I can basically guarantee that the developers of that project are using that name illegally.

So with that in mind do you think that there is any chance that this project is not a scam? Because it should be painfully obvious that it is, and no one should risk their money by investing in such a coin.

It's owned by Meta(Facebook).

I think there's no more interest left for that company to build their own token. They're putting their interest to metaverse instead of tokens.

They've just sold their Diem project to Silvergate and that's already enough to think that projects like this is no longer interesting if they've already abandoned their first crypto project.
That is true, and if ever they will announce a new coin (which I doubt they will) it will be for Meta (Facebook) first and not for whatsapp.
OP is there a token inside the whatsapp application? Because I haven't tried it in my whole life and I think it's possible that you are confusing an in-app token that is just used for the application and not a cryptocurrency. Like diamonds, golds in different android games to be used for in-app purchases only.
Maybe he's also confused.

But I may be wrong on it as well.

However, with all the news that came out from the sale of Diem which is the Facebook's project that has been there since 2018 IIRC was no longer going to be on their hands.

So it's going to be trying hard for them if they'll pursue it with whatsapp which they also own.

I can't say a lot about this coz this totally depend with the hype. A big hype means good ROI, no hype means no big ROI.

You can't expect this to be decentralized coz any tokens will be centralized when it comes to the programmed smartcontract. it's caused by the decentralization of the token will be pegged with the native blockchain and i should also remind you that if  smartcontract can be centralized and this totally depend with the team who has issued the smartcontract. It's quite difficult to say that if this will not be decentralized without doing a proper audit tot he smartcontract.

Whatsapp tokens never existed and the owner couldn't possibly make jokes like this but if you find news about investment ROI especially with whatsapp tokens then it's a scam by creating hype so people are interested and I didn't find anything about whatsapp will launch a token when there is news about this then it can be said to be a scam.

As @ScamVirus once pointed out that this token is trying to do an ICO sale for money, however for him it has been telling us that it is a scam.

there is a possibility that it will be popularized and like the role of musk changing doge with the power of individual roles that everyone can believe in musk's steps, and that will also be true with the real token project behind the whatsapp token team who is very important in today's digital world..All we have to do is believe that the team from WhatsApp tokens has supplied one trillion WhatsApp tokens with ico marks..

There is never a WhatsApp token yet if you come across any it's 100% a scam token, WhatsApp is big enough for their token to be hide or remain unknown, if a WhatsApp token is released today all the world will know about it, beware of scam tokens.
