My main strategy that I used since I started my career here is to designated my desired price so that when it hit the price I considered it for selling. Not having that kind strategy really confused me and other investors so I suggest that maybe others would try it.

For long term and short term, I suggest you to just trade with 50% and hold rest, that means if one of your holdings pumped twice then sell 50% and hold rest then if the coin dumped again you can increase your coin amount and if the coin pumped even now you have half of your capital.

Depending on the market situation, when the famous coin price has dropped so much I will use long term trading around a few months and when the price rises significantly I will sell. And when market conditions are not stable, short term trading will be very profitable. Now we see the Ripple price has gone up and some famous coins have indicated the price will rise, I suggest buying it because the price will continue to rise.

My strategy in trading is to put a small amount of first capital. I will only increase my capital for trading as my experience and knowledge about trading increases.
