Your story also match with mine story. I also lost more than actually i won in any gambling site. I think the reason is greed and only greed which keep on telling you will win next time and you will recover your all losses soon. But later on when i see insufficient balance to place bet than only my jaw get doped.
I do like to play sportsbook from time to time. It seems like one of those lucky ones, who has managed to earn money of it. How did I do? I kept to my strategy, used some of my knowledge and 'skills', but the factor which has made me most money was luck of course.
Winning gives nice feelings that's undeniable beacuse we love to take risks and get rewarded. This is well known by the gambling industry and that's why we always come back to it, unless we eventually get broke 
sometimes I want to feel victory again, so I went back to play again, or go back just for fun. 
Although i keep losing on any dice i play, i still keep coming back. its not addictions its just a good way to entertain myself and kill some time while waiting for something. but i will never wagered my lunch money.
A crucial part of recovery after losing - is acceptance of your addiction, of your losses, of your own strengths and weaknesses. In particular, if you can't let go of your losses, you will never be free of the urge to get them back and you will come back to gamble.
I usually come back to have a chat with a few friends who tend to gamble a lot more than i do. I also "come back" to have a look how my investments on different sites are doing. I only gamble for fun from time to time and i expect to loose so i wouldnt say its an addiction that keeps bringing me back.
I think people tend to come back because there's always a chance to win something. Another round means another chance to win or lose. Most people prefer to think positive and keep on hoping that they will win the next round after.
gambling is adictive, its just a hope to win more and i have lost btcs for sure but not as much as i have gained.
it is the excitment that no other entertainment can easily give. it is the similar excitment when you also risk your life to play parachute etc. the feeling of risk something to get something/experience is very diff from watching a movies or eating at restuarant.
For me, it's a memory. The first time I bet with bitcoin, on Rollin.io, I made a 0.8 BTC profit on a 40% win chance. Every bet after that until I busted I lost, though.

It's the same case with me as well. I first won double the amount I bet and then got addicted to the game and had many losses. I started then betting more after that to see if I can win and my earnings have not been that great but still 40% more than what I had invested. Winning on a 40% win chance is great.
MONEY - is the one will make every one to come back to gambling again and again. Very less people come to gambling for fun.
For me there is couple reasons. I know that gambling is not invented to earn you money: In most betting shops you will see three windows marked 'Bet Here', but only one window with the sign 'Pay Out'.I am not so stupid to fell for 'easy money' trap. I just like to bet and see if I am lucky today. If I win some money in the process - better for me.
The sole purpose of my gambling is to much money even often I remained without money while trying for this.I see gambling as opportunity to fulfill my target so this makes me come back over and over again.
Entertainment and feeling of that moment when results of my bets are about to appear that keeps me coming back.I am not addicted to gamble but in spare time place some bets both in sports games and casinos to get both money and joy.
nothing keeps me back i used to gamble like a few months ago a lot and now i managed to escape it i really liked the feel while i was playing it and the thrill to win a lot of money but i understood that it wont give me anything good in the end thats why i dont gamble anymore
The excitement when I get some winning hands makes me feel happy than anything else.Just to enjoy that pleasure keeps me coming back to gamble always.
Attractive jackpots and considering it a shortest way to get much money I repeatedly come back to gambling.When I gamble for long time and don't win and quit for some period and then same conception make me come back after some period.I think as long as I can afford loosing these my tries will keep me in gambling.
What keeps me coming back to gamble again and again is my addiction and greed.May be this time I win big and my luck really support me last time I lost because of not choosing right option.I actually convince myself to play more but all this is addiction.
i think if we have some self control.. we can win.. that is what every time makes me to come .
After loosing some money each time I say to myself that this was last time when I gambled but then come back and play again.A feeling or thought brings me back to gamble that this time things will be different and you will surely not only win but also will recover your previous losses.
