a gas station accepting bitcoins would be really awesome for car drivers.. !!! Smiley

But filling up would take over 20 minutes for 6 confirmations.

This is super easy to work around. Either do something like a reloadable debit card, where you can fill it up with BTC, and empty it in brick & mortar stores (like gas stations) and as long as the debit card issuer is trusted, 0 confs are needed, or, just accept the 0 conf transactions (places like primedice do it anyway) for smaller transactions because reversing it isn't worth the time.

Not sure if serious...

Gas stations already accept zero conf payments in the form of debit/credit card swipes. Those payment methods can take 90 days to become irreversible.

Well, aside from brick & mortar shops...

Internet Service Provider, Utility Company, (Health/Car) Insurance Provider.

That's the main ones for me.

I think it would be nice to pay rent or buy gas in bitcoin.  I mean its so much more simple than using a credit card and all you would need with you is your phone.  Maybe it even gets to the point where we can pay credit card bills with bitcoin to save some time.

Manufacturers (in any "genre" of business). I saw that one guy had gotten his manufacturer to accept bitcoin, but we need more.
How are we supposed to build an economy if the most important part of the chain still only takes fiat? We don't have anything with the manufacturers.

If gas stations and supermarkets ever adopted Bitcoin, I might just convert a "monthly living expenses" portion of my paycheck directly to BTC via some sort of automated process in the future. Sure, it's volatile, but losing a month's worth of living expenses isn't a huge deal, IMHO.
