Okay. i saw ethereum made a 10 to 20% price gain within 3 days.My initial thoughts was on the current Ethereum 2.0 approaching. with that in mind i strongly believed that Ethereum will sell pass 600 to 800usd before 2020 ends. This lead me to purchase Ethereum at 580usd.unfortunately, the rebound in the market(which is expected) hit me at the wrong time.
i think i will regain my profits but it is obvious that it will take time. To the lovely community members here, what might look like a failed or lost in investment but actually not a lost.

ETH is going to be worth more than 500 USD!

Patience, maybe by the end of the year it will be worth up to 800 USD.

But that's not its full potential, we'll see ETH easily break $ 1,300 USD now that this ETH 2.0

As you can see in this graph: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/

My advice is to stay hold...

You do that, most of the market entry interest relies on FOMO and FUD, big coins are no exception, but you need to be patient to turn things around while the support is still possible

I see you as a concrete example of the process of users being attracted and fomo by news, i see that you have started holding ETH since 580, i know about that news for a long time and until there are many i think it is no longer helping to push the price of ETH higher, but the current trend is up, following market corrections over the past few days. At the beginning, it is a sign that the market will start to recover and continue its uptrend. I think you are being influenced by the market and your sentiment fluctuates, but don't overdo it because investing is never easy, i believe that if you can wait then i suggest you hold it for long periods of time instead of chasing after the fomo crowd following the market.

Your story says about a fact of trading and investment. Many traders or investors don't use good methods and don't have good calculations for their price to make entry and price to exit or to cut loss. They hear others say about a potential coin that can bring 20 to 40 percent of profits in next one week, one month and buy it instantly. They shake the signals on market within minutes and can create shortly little pump in price but it won't last long.

One week or one month later, they don't see profit or worse see loss and shake their hands. They don't have due diligent reason why they join and exit the market. All are done from their greed and emotion. The market and whales like such traders and investors.

For your investment, you will have opportunity to take profit, and you need to keep up your patience.

You prepare yourself for Ethereum 2.0 so I think to buy at $580 is not a wrong act, you can sell it above your buy price when Eth 2.0 launched.

Let's talk about the worst possible that ETH 2.0 can't make the Ethereum price pumped, don't worry you invest in a top coin, not a shitcoin so the price will increase for sure, you just need to be patience

That’s right you have to focus on your own strategy and we can’t say no to this one because you already took the risk and we wish you the best for this one, I only suggest to commit with your plan and be patient. I personally don’t want to buy ETH on the price of $500-$600 but it left me no choice because I also believe on bull trend with ETH, so let’s see if we can still achieve more before the year end.

It's not a loss and you're right with that unless you start to panic and sell it wholly. You are in good hands buying Ethereum at that price and as you see, it's just recovering. Without the 2.0 yet, you see that it's recovering. It doesn't look bad if you have bought at that price.
Everyone is making that decision although can be said a late decision somehow but not literally means you can't steer back that decision. You're an Ethereum believer and your purchase make sense for yourself for 2.0.
