if the person intends to make a long-term investment, something like a 3 to 5 year investment, then the person will not spend all day in front of the computer looking at the price and crying at bitcointalk. The truth be told, who buys and holds for 3 to 5 years does not get headaches every time the price falls. Let's assume people who bought when the price was in the $ 6000, and price drops to $3000. but because the person is making a long-term investment then that person would not panic because the price fell to $3000.
So, most importantly all investors will be good if indeed they are not regret about their decision to buy and also sell. Regret will only make our emotions worse, but when the investor is ready with the risk and has a strong determination about the decision chosen then it will not make their determination worse when the price moves further whether it goes up or down, so investors can be more controlled and have good confidence.
I think important traits to be a good investor are (not in exact order):
1. Knowledge
2. Emotional stability (as mentioned)
3. Instinct
Instinct can make you a ton of money, especially if you catch the bull market early. Knowledge is important for understanding technical and fundamental analysis. Emotional stability prevents you from making unwise decisions that override your knowledge.

It's always hard to be a good investor in this crypto investments field, because instead of traditional investments, here the prices fluctuate much more and sometimes without apparent reasons. You can be skilled, patient and smart, but sooner or later you will sell some coins and on the day after, you will see the currency's price will be even more expensive than when you sold.
Or the opposite can happen too: you keep holding, expecting to sell more expensive tomorrow, but when tomorrow comes you see the price falling hard...

In addition to the requirements of analysis of the moment and the past, a good investor is one who knows how to wait the necessary time and also has the ability to detach from his ideals when necessary. On the other hand, the thought that being at the right time and at the moment time, is also a good hability. However any definition is valid only when we obtain satisfactory results in our plans, otherwise it is just theory.

The first is that you need to know the basic concept of investment where crypto prices can fluctuate at any time and it takes a very long time to find a pump that is good and very different from stocks or other, of course requires very good patience and good analysis not only invest everywhere the most important thing is not to store eggs in one basket because it is very risky, in a long time you have to have passive income for living expenses every day, all have risks so don't be surprised if everyone is afraid of it.

You mean taking away our emotions from whatever decision we will be making specially when it comes to our cryptocurrency holdings? I don't think it is possible. You acquired your holdings because you like them and they are valuable to you and it took you your hard earned money to have them and you are expecting us to be detached emotionally from them, man we are human. We cannot just throw our gold, diamonds and pearls to the pigs to be trampled down. Besides being affected emotionally makes us more careful the next time we make decisions because we don't wanna feel the pain of loss again.
IMO, A good Investor is hardworking, patient and never greedy.I think a good investor can success in trading and make good profits.I think a good investor holds the proper knowledge of investing rules and can make something good even the market is rough.I think one need to be experienced for considering Himself a good Investor.
when deciding to become an investor we must truly believe in the project that we are following. we should never feel panic or excessive emotions because it will give birth to distrust of DEV and the team so that you will think about selling your tokens immediately and leaving the project.
