It's pretty complicated. You need to look at their track record, maybe who is behind the company, look at reviews on the internet

Yep That was too complicated.

It all depends on the particular service and what they offer and how long they have been in existence, for example I tend to trust casinos that has been around for a very long time without getting any negative feedbacks, especially the ones that has been proven to be probably fair, for every other bitcoin service like bitrefill, same thing applies as well, I believe that bitcoin related services are revolutionary and I do my best to patronise as many of them as possible.

Bitcoin casino is a direct way to lose your deposit. I don't believe any such site. It is better to just buy Bitcoin and wait for its rise in price, which may of course not happen and investor may lose some funds. But Bitcoin at least does not completely depreciate, unlike a deposit in an any online casino, which will make every effort to make a person lose all his money.

Another question: What does a new service need to earn your trust?

Support and partners, I myself believe in new services when the team's support is very good and their partners are very strong to encourage their services to be better. Most investors or users will see from partners other than the concepts that the new service has. If you have been here since 2017 and watched ico develop from the start, surely only ico has a good partner who will get high raised in crowdfunding, yeah like that.

I feel this question should be directed to the gambling section though, but never the less, that a service deployed Bitcoin as their payment do not make them trustworthy or truthful.
No matter how nice they seems to be, you have to check up the website online and most importantly read reviews about them from other users. Also bringing them to the forum is another way to go.

Trust is also an investment I put everytime I uses bitcoin related service. I'm skeptical with these things but if other seems fine using that website without any problem, then I'll go and try it as well... It seems that almost everyone is looking at the same factor in trusting one website, it's good reputation. Once that site have build their reputation, it's easier for them to attract new customers because they're already making a name in the business.
Agreed with the truth, and the cryptocurrency network has turned to be a success platform just because people or the early adopters believed in it. If that hasn't taken place bitcoin could've served to be something different from the present usage pattern. The reputation once gained is been taken forward by the people making the network more stronger and stronger with time.

Hi,

I have some questions where I have been thinking about the past week.
Why do you trust some website/company with your bitcoins?

Let's say a bitcoin casino, what makes you deposit bitcoin?
Is it the provably fair? Does it mean you trust a site when the game is fair?
Is it the looks of the site? The amount of users there are? If there is an open chat where you can see active users?

Or something else that doesn't have a game that's fair, for example a bitcoin exchange, how do you trust them?

Overall: What makes you trust bitcoin related services?

you dont care that they accept bitcoin, you check their credibility - reviews, social media, articles about them, forums, etc. If they looks legit . I buy the services. Like for example if PokerStars would accept BTC you would not hesitate to trust them because you already know that it is a trustable company.

if in my opinion, I'm not a person who likes to invest with bitcoin on a website, but if for playing dice or casino games with bitcoin maybe I have tried playing, usually I see from the way they are serious promotion, sometimes also see from reviews on forums this, you don't have to have to trust a website to play on a casino or dice game website, usually they give free bitcoin from their faucet or you can start with a smaller capital, usually I don't expect profits or wins because I'm just looking for fun

GOD is TRUE
casinos / exchanges / merchants / social media, all lead to a reputation built from a pool of community trust. If user traffic always seems to be active, then it has become a reference where companies also think about long-term services.
trust for fairness has all been seen in every blockchain transaction, irregularities can also be quickly overcome with their customer service, this makes everything sustainable with trust for greater use of capital.

I don't trust them and for that reason I never hold money on their servers. Not your keys not your Bitcoins!
I trust services that I test first and I never send a lot of money at once. I also trust services that were tested by others before and have good reputation but my trust has its limits. I have some accounts on exchanges but it's just for that occasional selling of a 100€ when I need some pocket change. I don't trade and I don't sell Bitcoin so I don't care about services too much.

It is not only limited to trading cryptocurrency and bitcoins that can be considered services related in bitcoin. There are purposeful sites that provides services in return of BTC. For example, there are bitcoin transactions accelerator and other free lance services that pays in bitcoin.

The fact that these services might not be trusted is a big issue. In my opinion, beta testing will not be enough as long as you don't experience yourself how these services really works. In short, 'to see is to believe' is a good foundation to trust these kind of services.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody

If there’s a new service you have to try it first before you know if its worth it or not or better to hear the side of other users about that service. You have to trust the services because bitcoin was made for that but never to put big amount easily, you have to test the water first before diving for you not to be broke if there’s a bad things about that service.

I think that if a system is built on a blockchain that is truly decentralized and there are no methods to implement data from the outside whose reliability cannot be determined, then such a system can be trusted. If this is a casino, then it can be considered honest. You can trust Bitcoin; it is truly decentralized.

Just only be careful in those services that are saying they are accepting bitcoin, not all casino that are accepting BTC have good reputation, some since they know BTC is popular uses it for their benefits to scam people. BTC is trustable but the projects and some services are not so be very careful in everyway we're using crypto or btc may it be for paying bills,as investement,in exchanges, wallets and for casino.

In the case of casinos, I can't tell you what criteria you should look at because online casinos have anonymous owners, but I think looking at their thread in this forum can give you a clue whether or not to trust the online casino.

In the case of exchange I use exchange that I know the owner of the exchange is not an anonymous person, and I always try to know where is the headquarters of the exchange

in the case of bitcoin wallets i use the wallets that have good feedback from community members

Another question: What does a new service need to earn your trust?

if is a new exchange should not have anonymous owner and should have headquarters

if is a casino I think should have good community feedback

Every company that has a payment must definitely have clear official legality.

As an example for gambling, before we use bitcoin in gambling, we must definitely choose clear gambling sites, with official legality. Because too many of them try to be unfair, for example, users can deposit, but it is difficult to withdraw.

We should really be careful in choosing gambling sites or the like that will be used as bitcoin transactions

For any project that I get involved with, I try very much to see the team and be sure that they can be trusted with whatever of their project that I am attracted to.

If the team are okay, then you can trust your cryptocurrency with them be it on a gambling site or a normal project site, but aside the team also, for a project site, we have to make sure that the project is a needed one, I have no problem with gambling because it is just one product and we have so many people that likes to play games a lot and will always be there to patronize the game site thereby making whatever crypto you are using to grow, but for project, it has so many scammer that are professional and can go with your crypto, so trusting them is based in team and based on the product that is being proposed itself. What I also do is to look at some of these very popular game sites, they are the ones that I use the most when there is need for them.
