John McAfee is another one of these idiots that got rich during the dotcom bubble, and since they are so rich and bored, they spend their day on twitter talking about any trending subject, in this case Bitcoin.

John McAffee is a joke when it comes to BTC. Let him talk, he knows nothing.

And that time he made that call, Bcash wasn't even around! Furthermore he said "Bitcoin will be worth so and so much". But Bcash is not Bitcoin. Even Jihan admitted that!! Therefore you can not say he was talking about Bcash being worth so much. Even if this was his intention, that guy is a joke, crazy as hell and he will lose his bet! No idea how any person can take that guy serious! He should stop sniffing his bath salts and all the other stuff he is consuming.

I read his original tweet when bitcoin cash wasn't even released. He said bitcoin is going to be $500k. Bitcoin cash wasn't even a thing. You can ask him over twitter btw, he may or may not reply. Mcafee is active on twitter.

First of all, McAfee's known for his outbursts, no different from the company he keeps. If you're taken aback by stuff like this, you soon will get used to it. Secondly, he's just too easy a target for this to stand out. Kinda like Trump, you could spend all day picking at his tweets, verbal diarrhoea and rants on social media but even they know they don't always mean what they say. It's like those daily shows or comedy skits rehashing Trump to death. Might have been a bit of good fun for a while, but it gets old real quick. Enjoy the ride, if you like side entertainment. Yeah, right? this is the only article I ran across that made this clear, all others just make the assumption he was talking about btc.

Was this when he said he will eat his penis on national TV if it does not happen? This is old news and before the BitcoinCash fork. He was clearly talking about Bitcoin during that time and it would be crazy to think that BitcoinCash will reach $500,000 in 3 years because it does not have the same merchant acceptance and dark market acceptance like BTC has.

The hash power of Bitcoin also has not decreased even though it is more profitable to mine on BitcoinCash.

It is possible that in the future BTC will be the coin used for everyday transactions (with lighting network, satellites, etc), whereas BCH will be a reserve coin, used for stock markets and big money deals (banks, corporations, cartels, etc). BCH is centralized, Jihan controls it, and it looks similar to ETH which is controlled by Vitalik and is also backed by big corporations, oil trustees, etc, so it looks like it can gain support from such sectors.

go find the source where Mcafee said that. if i am not mistaken it was his twitter where he made a new tweet saying "bitcoin will reach $50K" and then people went nuts and he said "i will give myself a BJ on national TV if it didn't" Cheesy

and by the time he said it, BCH was not even a thing.
