2025 is just 4 days away from here. What new feature would you like to see on bitcointalk in 2025 ?
Maybe addition of new merit sources to boost more activity on different boards. Well in my opinion technical changes might not needed as more users like the same format, at least for me.

The design and forum navigation is nice and not necesaary to change to something like a 3D theme newly improved platform.

I personally do not want to see any major changes in bitcointalk. Small changes can be made as per the requirements but on the whole the forum is a great place to read and post. Most of the other forums are crowded with ads or other stuff but when you are on bitcointalk you just stay on what you are interested and never get distracted. That is indeed a success for bitcointalk.

If one thing i will like to improve then it would be great if we had the official iOS and Android app for bitcointalk.

Giving a roadmap of upcoming changes would be a good thing, I can't remember the last time we saw a real change or new feature added.
bitcointalk treasury address show that the forum has expenses of a few thousand dollars.
The treasury is in millions (about $100M+), and expense is in thousands of dollar.
There's currently about 1250 BTC(+BCH) in reserve.

If you need a reference with details.
Code:
2017
Income: $996,494 + $6257 donations
Expenses - Forum software project: $246,138
Expenses - Mods and others: $261,433
Expenses - Hosting etc: $49,726

2018
Income: $473,247 + $479 donations
Expenses - Forum software project: $272,250
Expenses - Mods and others: $204,547
Expenses - Hosting etc: $43,907

Tax is not included for 2017. Because bitcointalk.org is tax-wise a disregarded entity, it's difficult for me to calculate the tax costs attributable to forum activities. I'll do it some other day.

Themes on profile page or anything that will give customization to our profile since there’s a lot of info out there that is already outdated and useless to the current time like ICQ, AIM, MSN, and YIM.

Maybe adding the link to confirm the wallet address that is Stake in the past to prove ownership in our profile next to wallet address is a good idea to easily determine how to prove ownership of the account.

Lastly, adding mp3 playlist like the one on friendster or any live radio broadcasts available for crypto in general is a cool addition.

Maybe not a forum feature but a new rank, like Immortal Rank. If I’m not mistaken, since ranks were introduced here on bitcointalk no new ones have been added or changed. My suggestion to achieve the Immortal Rank, you need 10K merits and 10K activity if you didn't meet this two you can't be Immortal Rank. If you're Immortal Rank, you can use an avatar like the one yahoo62278 currently has, and your signature can be animated like moving text similar to a route runner. LOL

I was actually not suggesting major changes. Sometimes small changes can also bring major difference in user experience. Like powerglove has done lot of changes under guidance of theymos and I do not think that it costed a lot to the forum.

The only changes I would like to see on this old software probably next year is mobile interface so someone browsing the forum doesn't have to flip from left to right to read full text on mobile.

I'm not a developer but what does it take to make a website both mobile and desktop friendly?

I agree this is a much needed feature. Using this site on mobile is a headache. And since most of the traffic to any site on the internet is mobile only, the user experience of lot of users is affected here because of this. It should be very convenient to use this forum on mobile and no need to make it horizontal to see complete text.

I agree with this statement. I would spend more time on this forum if it were convenient to do so on a smartphone, but at the moment, reading or writing posts on the bitcointalk using a mobile device only irritates me. It seems to me that in the era of mobile devices (when almost everyone has a smartphone), in which we live, our forum simply must be adapted to these devices. This would be more convenient for both old users and could attract new ones (since not everyone will want / be able to use a laptop or PC).
Although I also agree that the mobile version isn't that convenient, I believe it has already been discussed and I don't recall it being on the to-do list. I don't find it 100% necessary, but the truth is that most people nowadays are using their smartphones a lot more frequently than their computers. Thus, I believe it's something that needs to be implemented sooner or later, nothing fancy is required, just a more smartphone friendly view of the forum. Apart from that, I don't think there's something else missing, I like its simplicity so far, can't think of any other features. The most important ones, such as 2FA has already been implemented a few years ago.

2025 is just 4 days away from here. What new feature would you like to see on bitcointalk in 2025 ?

Does the forum bitcointalk do rebrand the forum features on every single year? Thought it's only when a learned and creative users foresees a formidable cheaters or quality features, make it a proposal and then the forum board of trustees like Theymos and who's is in equivalent position would give it a thoughtful review before it's being implemented.
Or is there usually a new year resolution in conjunction with the forum features yearly?
I'm only being curious because I don't know if I'm missing out some yearly quests on the forum.
Moreover, there had been plenty of fellow users who had made points of some features to be attached and detached in the forum long now and up til now it hadn't been reviewed talk more of being implemented.
Maybe we still have to lean on the wall and watch how it all goes.
No need to rebrand the forum. Adding one or two features for better user experience is not rebranding.
