With stocks, bonds, mutual funds etc,  the rate of return might be ~7% annually

What is the average rate of return for crypto?

Thanks for your help

You mean like buy-an-hold return relative to USD? Hard to define, since BTC has been very volatile over the years.

If you look at the yield from 2013 until today you get a lot of different calculations, depending on your frame of reference. Investing in Jan 2013 would have yielded you ~ 30,000% while investing at the peak of Dec 2013 would have "only" yielded you ~ 238% today. In the years inbetween BTC moved within a price range of USD 1000 - USD 300,- making your annual yield highly dependent on your point of entry.

Alt coins are a bit trickier. Historically most of them got outperformed by BTC, although short term some show sudden bursts of profitability. Caveat Emptor.

In general keep in mind that "past performances are no guarantees for future returns" and all that jazz. Long term there's still a lot of room to grow though.

I started trading mid June. Have been losing money till start of August. Now I have some gains finally (still haven't recovered from my loss though). Doing daily trading I hope for 10% a month, if it goes well I think I can do 1% a day (34% a month) but that's super optimistic.

I hope I can manage 10% a months since that is an extremely good return rate (better than any investment fund can offer).
