Based on my experience i would vouch for saphire nitro + rx 580 1440 mgz out of the box with the best cooling system ever used for Now its very Good for the hot areas in the earth

I only buy the 4GB's for cheaper. My reasoning is firstly Ethereum should go POS before 2020 so it wouldn't matter. Secondly in 2 years the RX 580 will be devalued a lot with the new AMD GPU's that will arrive and thirdly apart from ETH AMD cards are only better than NVIDIA at Cryptonight therefore memory size doesnt matter

Current Dag Size 2,3 GB. Every one year increased more 1 GB, the maybe year 2020 or 2021 Dag size 4 GB. So Card 4 GB have time 2 years again or maybe less 2 years (just my prediction and Opinion). So, I started buying GPUs 8 GB or above.

Truly amazing where prices have gone in the past 30 days!  I purchased two 580-based video cards right after Christmas - one Sapphire Nitro+ 580 4GB and one Asus ROG Strix 580 8GB "Top" OC edition.  I bought an Asus ROG Strix GTX1080 8GB OC edition about two weeks before that for $560, also.

I paid nearly $350 for the Asus card, and just under $300 for the Sapphire.  Looking around last night for "more of the same", the cheapest I could find the Asus "T8G" model is over $550 and the Sapphire Nitro+ 4GB is going for over $450 on eBay and unavailable for the most part on Amazon and NewEgg.  That Asus 1080 has just evaporated, I guess - last price I can find was over $1000.

Those are STUPID expensive prices for cards, and I suppose that we miners are to blame for these absurd prices, because you just can't buy GPU cards for a reasonable price no matter where you look right now.  Maybe there are a couple of places I don't normally look for them, but those have always been my 3 "goto" websites for computer parts of all types.

I was thinking about trying a GTX1070ti but those are priced around $800-$1000 right now.  That's freakin' crazy!  Since I am basically only doing Ethereum - at least for now with most other coins being strangled by ASIC devices, I guess that the 4GB cards are fine - for now.  I read that the 4GB cards will likely be unusable for Ethereum beyond a certain epoch in the not too distant future (let's say a year?) when the DAG overruns that 4GB size, but the exact time that happens remains to be seen - at least for now.

I got 6 Saphire Nitro + LE, but I paid A LOT for them.

Buy what ever you can for as close to $300 each as possible. I've found that anyone that I've gotten is getting with in 1Mh/s or less of any of the other ones - all above 30Mh/s (right about 31Mh/s) single mining and all right in the 29.5-30.5Mh/s dual mining. I've got XFX, MSI, Asus, and PowerColor. All of them are stable at 1200 CPU / 2150 MEM. I could probably tweak them all a little bit on voltage and speed, but the down time doesn't make it worth it.

The 570 is also a great buy, the one XFX one I have is running at 28.75 Mh's while dual mining. Honestly probably the bet ROI, out of all the cards - but I got it for $229.

Other than possibly having a better chance of coming with better memory, there is not much difference in hash rate between 4GB and 8GB cards of the same model. The main difference would be a better resale value in the future. Though IMO, it's not worth paying more than an extra $25 per card.

Any difference between 4GB and 8GB cards? Almost impossible to find 8GB cards, but some 4GB are still around.

well. I would say buy any RX580 8GB card you may find
this is really tough task now, all stocks are over @ normal price(

Get the Rx 580 MSI cards bro. I think this is little cheaper than the other brand. In place to place card price varies in the market so you have to check the best rate and buy the card. Brand is not a matter to get the heavy hashes or something.
All the other brands cards with the same specs will not provide the same hashes. So check the any mining cards like RX series cards you can make decent money than other cards.

Don't know if 2 months later you can get what we got for now. If its me I go with the cheapest and dual fan even hashrate slightly low. What we really need is faster ROI.

I have an Asus Radeon RX 580 8GB Dual with Hynix memory and a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 570 4GB with Elpida memory, after BIOS mod and overclock/undervolt I get the same speed on both with Claymore (30.1 Mh/s), both draw 105W from the wall, the only difference is that the Sapphire runs at 37C while the Asus at 55C...

no there not the same, while some might come sorta close none of them are the same, has to deal with how the chips and other components they use are binned, like for instance the difference between gpu having Hynix memory or Samsung. everyone knows the Samsung in most cases can be oced the most and is pretty darn stable, while Hynix not so much, really gotta find the sweet spot with those

Cheapest is the BEST, faster ROI.
