No one will be able to help you get your Bitcoin property stolen. This is also the main reason why Bitcoin becomes negative for the government. I recommend restricting the sharing of information about you investing and holding Bitcoin in your wallet

All Bitcoin transactions are anonymous and you will not be able to find information about the person who stole your Bitcoin. There are many great exchanges that are also stolen Bitcoin but they can not do anything about these thieves. I recommend you to be more careful

Unfortunately you may well have lost them for good, as unless you can prove the exchange was negligent then you won't have much of a case, whilst losing any amount is never good, it could be a wake up call to thoroughly review your security, at the very least change all your passwords for very secure ones- a good tip is to pick your favorite book, chose a page number and use this and a few words from  a sentence on that page along with its line number see example below:

93Biodiversity(p91)23 would be a good password-ps this was taken from my kids science textbook as closest to hand. You can mark the page so you don't forget it.

Oh and in case any one has evil intentions- this was created just as an example! it wont work.

Unfortunately, no one will return your money. Never store your crypto currency on the exchange, as it is not safe. Buy yourself a cold purse and you have no one will steal anything.

Hi Friends, actually one of my BTC address from Zebpay account having almost 0.01550 BTC has been hacked and the amount has been stolen just few days ago. The amount was not quite big for me, but i really fear about the security of holding the BTC in exchanges and now even in wallets.

I Just want to know is there any ways i can get back my BTC back to my account and also is there any website or authority who can help me out in getting back my stolen BTC, let me know about it. Also let me know what safety measurement should i take while holding my BTC in Exchanges. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, just like others have said, there is nothing you can do about it and if you are unfortunate to live in a country where it is better to say they are still in the 15th century, reporting to the law enforcements agents will only compound the problem as you will have to do more draining explanation which will cost you more and at the end, nothing will come out of it. However, if you come from countries that have advanced technologically, they might not be able to get you your coins back but it will go into records and might be relevant when decisions concerning crypto will be made.

Zeppay should be held responsible in an ideal scenario because they are the ones who asked you to trust them with your resources and if they cannot do as promised, they need to pay for it. These are the arguments haters of crypto always have and service providers would continue to give justification for it because of their deficiencies in ensuring adequate security of what was entrusted in their care.

Generally you're never going to get hacked BTC back. And yes, exchanges are always risky. But there's no reason for you to be afraid of properly securing BTC on a local wallet from a trusted source.

The best place to complain for what has happened to you is in front of a mirror. Whenever you give any centralized entity control over your BTC, you are at risk of losing them. And sooner or later, you typically would.

Indeed, it is very risky to keep it on the stock exchange that is vulnerable to hacking as experienced by the Binance class, there is nothing you can do because it disappears and disappears in the hands of others or it is just a mistake for you or not to pay attention to the key or security of your account.
Other people sometimes don't care about members, so you are patient enough so that there is no law that helps you with losing all BTC that you have.

Take the experience as lesson learned. There are no agencies to turn to. We are on our own until regulations are put in place. And some people here don’t want governments regulating bitcoin. How can bitcoin become mainstream without government regulations?  Undecided

The point of a Bitcoin fraud is probably in that you can't recover the money. Unless you used a multisig wallet, in which case you can file a complaint to the arbitrator, that money is gone.

If it centralised exchange you can only write their support to know reason for the theft and avoid consecutive ones , but if it is decentralized, there is nothing you can do about it

The main problem (still since its foundation) is that bitcoin is not completely legal; it is used by many people around the world but that begin said, it’s not legislated with one law. To give you an example: there’s no unified legislation about what is bitcoin; for instance, in the United States is treated as a commodity, in Germany as a private money and so on..
The lack of legal basis and the impossible of reverse a transaction, makes bitcoin almost impossible to recover in case of a fraud.

your BTC will not come back again, and I think you don't use that account again. the hacker has controlled your wallet. so it's better that you create another new soft account or you can use a hard wallet.

no one else can hear your complaint. so you better accept your mistakes.

Sad part is that there's virtually no way to retrieve lost btcs both in your wallet and especially in an exchange. That's why you have to be really careful in holding your bitcoins or other alts because by nature, bitcoin's anonymity will not allow you to track who stole your coins.

I think you can't do anything, because until now there is no legal entity or institution that has received complaints about losing bitcoin. Your task now is only to evaluate yourself and learn better how to save bitcoin and secure it from hackers.

If you lose your money on the exchange address, you can contact the owner of that exchange, luckily you will have your money back. But if you lose money in your own wallet, be careful. This means that you have been hacked, check your security

If Bitcoin is legal in your country then you could ask the help of your government thru their Cyber agency or department because once Bitcoin investment is legal then the government will be oblige to help every Crypto users but sad to say that there is no assurance that your Bitcoin will be retrieve because as we all knows that Bitcoin transactions is decentralize in which tracing wallets is difficult except in the hackers is just a close friend or your relatives then there is glimpse chance that your money will be return to your account.

All I know is that I know nothing.
have you contacted Zebpay yet?

they have access to their own database and can help you out. for example they can give you the list of IP addresses that logged into your account. if you have the time of the withdrawal (which is another thing stored in their database) then you can find the hacker's IP address. although it is possible that they used VPN or TOR but that is at least one step closer to find out who did it.

If you kept your Bitcoins in the exchange and they were hacked they should report it to the police. Hackers attack is a criminal offence and police should investigate that. What exchange could do in such case is to cover the damage for their clients, but let's be honest, this is not very likely.
If your individual wallet was hacked you can also report that to the police because it's similar like your wallet waa stolen somwhere in the street but don't expect too much, having in mind relatively small damage that is done.
