Bitcoin is not something that is well known where I am in 2017, but some media managed to cover the news about ATH in late 2017 and it made me come late to this space. There is an understanding circulating in the community that quite a lot of illegal investments are detrimental to the investors involved in them. I certainly need to learn it first where I should not invest in something I never knew, this is an investment principle. But I never think it's too late to get to know bitcoin, throughout 2018 to 2022 bitcoin has proven to us that it is the most profitable, secure and decentralized asset.

Since 2018 until now I see bitcoin as one of the assets that can help many people both financially and the financial system. Bitcoin is definitely worth considering if you like investing with risk, but bitcoin is not for those who don't like decentralization.

Even I did not refuse, even I immediately learned it, otherwise I knew Bitcoin for about nine years. First I do not see bitcoin as unattractive but I see bitcoin can make money to make ends meet because bitcoin is worth even though it was still very cheap. My motive is that I can make money from the internet and that's real and that makes me excited to continue to explore the crypto world. For beginners of course I am sure they know Bitcoin because of its price, and when going into the market they do not understand the nature of the market. Until they lose, their money is lost. Perhaps many other factors such as capital that is too small, crypto is prohibited by religion, means and certainly the power to survive.

It wasn't exactly "stopped" for me, but rather had the access to get one actually though back in 2013 I was wrongly informed about what crypto was especially Bitcoin. We might not have the same thought where you thought it was a ponzi scheme, but for me I thought it was a coin primarily used by criminals in the deep web as I usually read a lot of internet conspiracies back then plus as I mentioned earlier, I didn't have the access to getting it as I do not own any credit card to buy one from Coinbase plus I can still recall when they can't support my country yet to make a purchase. It was a receive only, if I can recall correctly.

I think most of us experienced that during our time of knowing Bitcoin or when it was first introduced to us. Some people are really taking the advantage of how little the knowledge most people have back then that's why they easily gets scammed and because of that most people losing trust if someone introduce Bitcoin to them. But with the right person with the right knowledge that has a solid proof of how to counter scams and ponzi, it is a great achievement to them because they aren't naive anymore when some people are taking advantage of their lack of knowledge.

I was one of the unbelievers in crypto currency because of unknown reason, oh yea I used to compare crypto to the almighty bubble of dotcom years back but later in 2017 I started regretting my decisions, a friend gave me a BTC in 2016 I rejected it lol 🤣🤣🤣
It seemed we had the same mindset when crypto was first introduced to me, I have an attitude of "to see is to believe" and years back when Bitcoin had an ATH in the last quarter of the year 2017, that's the time I've regret why I refuse to accept when there's someone willing to teach me at that time.
I was thinking of Ponzi scheme before but now, I've realized that I was wrong.

How much the amount of Bitcoin that you rejected?  Cheesy

That's why I didn't force someone if they don't believe in crypto especially in Bitcoin, I let them realize themselves after seeing good news about Bitcoin which isn't hard to find proof about Bitcoin legitimacy and worldwide adoption.  In fact, it's now a very trend on the internet.

I never heard anything about crypto back that year as I do not access the internet too often like others.
But when I browsed the internet, I found an article talking about bitcoin as something that people can trade at the exchange, but it was different than stock.
So I began to search what is bitcoin and fortunately, the faucet website came to me with many coins that I could get for free.
When I started knowing about bitcoin, I have not stopped myself from researching bitcoin and other altcoins because that makes me excited and want to have more and more info about crypto.
With help from the crypto faucet website, I can have many coins in my wallet so I started to trade it to have more bitcoin and that is what I did until now.

The same goes here. When I first heard of Bitcoin or crypto, it appeared more like a scam than a project with huge potentials. When I searched the keywords crypto and Bitcoin in the internet, the word scam was also oftentimes attached. There was simply too much smoke that I thought there must have been some fire. And I myself got scammed. So there was really some doubt at first. But then the more you hear about it and the more effort you exert in knowing what it really is, the more you will understand its real deal. Welcome!

I think I was a bit scary. I also like having a level of control over where my money goes and some things can be pretty risky. Even the first investments I made were in commodities because of their stability and the fact they have more chance of achieving something. So, when I saw the emergence of cryptocurrencies, I never thought that they would have any significant value or become a threat to fiat currency or the central banks.

What made me come around was the element of peer-to-peer transactions. Also, the fact that the technology has been improved over time and the development has been led by the crypto community itself.

Most of them are due to uncertainty, inaccurate information, fear of learning something new, and losing or profiting quickly.
Most of these fears are uncertainty and ignorance, and therefore learning and practice will reduce these risks.
We do not forget that most of our relationship with money is limited, and even trading in the stock exchanges was organized and did not bear fluctuations of 10% or the huge increase in prices.

We all may not have known about cryptos, but I am sure that after knowing them, the probability of investing in them in the next three years will be the greatest.

I always love new ideas and new technologies but when I heard about crypto my mind just went against the idea, thinking what else is more important than Fiat lol 🤣🤣 I can say I have a very small mind and thoughts at the time but I'm glad I joined in 2017, still made some good ROI at the time

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
I didn't doubt it from the start, but that's how the economy is in developing countries where not everyone has savings and long-term planning. When I was told about bitcoin, the first thing I understood was investing in a company that only the upper class could afford it and that required huge capital. I thought there are many ways to turn money as a regular income other than investing.

I first learned that there was Bitcoin sometime in late 2011 and early 2012, but I have to admit I didn’t understand at first what it was about, and most of the comments I read were mostly negative. I think it's a story shared by many, it was just a different time and there were a lot more people who were skeptical to say the least than those who actually knew what it was all about.

Really? I had no idea that once ban you ain't supposed to return to the forum.😩😩 Does that means this Account will also be ban even when I don't go against the rules of the forum??

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.

This is the rule of the forum, but of course, it all comes down to whether someone will link account A with account B (which happened here), and then it is up to the moderators/admins to make the final decision. Rule number one, always read the forum rules before you start using the forum.

I learned about cryptocurrency when BTC was the only one, and was almost worthless. At the time, the "knowledge" was that BTC was a "scam". And the whole secrecy around it didn't help.
Ever since, I've seen countless people being scammed with BTC. Basically, a guy gets a computer and puts up a Marketplace ad (or Mercado Libre, in Argentina), and starts meeting people in a starbucks store. Later on, those people invariably come looking for him, and he's nowhere to be found.
So, last year, in about August, I think, a former coworker stated he was looking to get into crypto, and I advised him not to do it. On October 14th, he showed me a screenshot of his BTC wallet. He had started a month earlier with $60, and now had $1156. That definitely got me thinking.
So I started investigating and getting courses at Udemy, and then I joined this forum.

The money thing I'm still trying to deal with...

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
I didn't just start doing bounty because I love doing bounty I started so that I can save money for my schooling. I am a first year PHARMACY student and you can't just imagine me asking my parents money everytime. And me doing bounties doesn't affect my studies that's why I choose to do it, not because there's fun in it .
And also concerning my  first account it got ban the first few weeks it was created because I had no idea how the system works in BITCOINTALK.so you can't blame me for trying to help myself make little money.
Everyone has their stories;
Maybe everyone desires to earn;
But you cannot earn by working against the forum;
If the forum is to help you in some financial gains, then learn to respect the forum.
You cannot just join a forum without the norms and start earning.
Then, do you know that once banned you are not expected to return to the forum with another account?
You have to learn in order to earn.
@Lovesmayfamilis said you will regret of wasting your time, I think you are regretting it already.
You can visit this thread and learn, incase you might recommend this forum to your friends and loved ones. As for you, I can't determine your fate.

You keep saying "crypto" but most of the reasons you mention are wrong about altcoins

Because the OP probably has no distinction, and he calls everything cryptocurrencies. If we talk about Bitcoin, I recognized him from the very beginning of its appearance, but, like many here, I did not believe in him. I worked with Liberty at that time, but suddenly they were banned, but bitcoin was mentioned everywhere. And I decided that this was another scam.
We all get smarter with age.
But as for the OP, it is clear that he desperately needs money, and instead of studying, he spends his time on bounty programs, creating account after account. And today his next account should be banned. It can also be said that someday he will understand and regret the wasted time.

Lack of knowledge about what it really is, and not enough interest to find out more about it. I didn't see a reason why we needed a decentralized payment system, and how can money (value) be moved around without some sort of intermediary. There were other alternatives that I was happier to use. Being in control of your own money is still a new concept, after so many generations have used and been taught to use and trust banks. Bitcoin was something unknown, created by someone unknown, and used anonymously. I didn't think it would work...

You keep saying "crypto" but most of the reasons you mention are wrong about altcoins. For example many of them are scams and could even be categorized as Ponzi schemes since they run similar payment tiers that resemble the Ponzi scheme.

In fact I didn't start with "crypto", I started with bitcoin and interestingly enough I only started after I found out that bitcoin is a currency and can be used for payments whereas 2 years before that in 2012-2013 someone gave me some wrong information that bitcoin is "solving mathematical problems and getting paid for it", so I never even bothered checking it out back then.
