So what should one do when the price is at a peak or so high as it is at the moment, $1250+ right now. Is it time to cash in?
It is quite obvious that this is not the right time to buy bitcoin so what should be the plan of action at these times?

In my point of view, If you have buy bitcoin Several months ago when the price is lower than recent price, no problem if you wanna cash your balance bitcoin. But I would suggest to trade from your bitcoin because I often see the movements price of bitcoin it's so fluctuates.

I would say don't hold your coin or exchange it to FIAT. Simply put your money on rotation  all over the web or make some investment. Because, Bitcoin value increasing by day by day. So, holding or cash-out will tend to difficult on earn, as you're converting to FIAT and investing on something.

OP it is really up to you whether you hold now or sell now that the price is high. All you can do if you don't want that much regret I think is to take the path with least regret. For example, you hold some portion and sell some that way even if the price goes down you won't regret that you have not sold some and if it goes up you will only regret slightly selling a portion of what you have.

There is nothing to regret if he have bought bitcoins at lower price in the past and if its giving him enough profits then he should sell some of them as after all the only goal of any investment is to make profits from it and higher or lower profit is a profit so he should not get greedy and should be satisfied with the profits that he is making.

My advice is not to sell unless you need cash or you have some extra coins that you have bought when Bitcoin was like 600$ so you can earn double.
But to my opinion the price will continue to rise for a while and no major crash is expected so keeping coins long term is good decision.

Yes sell only that amount that you really need and most of them should be saved for the future as price is moving in positive direction at a moment and we can expect the same flow in coming days to and even price drops it won't be much so need to have patience and hold your coins and sell them when you see price hitting to some good level.

This price is depended on the ETF news and if i am not wrong it will go up till march 11 when it will be declared to be included or not, if it got included in ETF then we cannot tell how high the price may go but if it got rejected then their will be dump but not high as next news will be on march 29 this is the news i got from one of this forum thread.
There's something to keep track of, just reading about it on marketwatch...
And while going through the article, one of the cons they mentioned about investing in bitcoin is obviously volatility, but I was amazed to see that at the start of 2013, bitcoin was at $15, Unbelievable.

Also beware of Alts when bitcoin goes up a lot then alts crumble and in some cases they take no prisoners!

If you have guts and you are a true risk taker then investing or doing cash ins now at the current price of 1250$ is a good idea because you can still make profit for the next few days since it is continue rising up. There still a best option if you want legit profits then that is long term hodling, it needs a lot of time but it is all worth it.
Don't just wait for the price to drop down it will be a big gamble if you do that. Because if that will dump you will loss money. patience is a virtue so just wait for the price to drop down because you can make some profit if that will be pump again don't gamble few days or weeks is not a big deal because if I were you I will wait for the dump to buy. Remember in trading we are buy low sell high so don't buy high because you will loss money it is a big gamble! Let's just wait. To have a profit just wait for your turn to earn waiting for it is the best instead of testing your luck.

I think this is a good time to sell, it will be a period of great profit to those who have invested in Bitcoin. however, I think btc will rise further. let's wait for it, on the other hand, if we simultaneously sell btc, this will greatly affect its price, btc price will be reduced dramatically, this would be extremely dangerous , what we need is calm and accurately choose the right way, I hope we all succeed

It is really crucial to have decisions like these and you have many thoughts coming up in your mind. I think you had the choice because you are the holder, even if the posts here are reasonably right, you still hold the choice.

See if you need the money urgently then only covert it.
Yes I accept that  bitcoins cost has reached 1282 $ now.
I still insist you to keep it with you,
If you are not really in the need of money.
The cost of bitcoin has been increasing in this way only.
I believe that it may reach 2000$ by this year's end.
So be smart!
Other wise later you will regret that I could ha e waited a bit I you are not really in the need of money.
And if you need money then go for it , it is the right time.

Everyone will have a different opinion, you need to find the answer by yourself, if you are really need to spend the cash or you think the price is quite good for you then change it to fiat, if you think the price still can go up then save your coin, I personally recommended to keep your coin until you really need to spend it, I predict the price will keep on rising for the next few months

as you can see price already reached $1270+ today and there is no indication of this trend stopping for the time being.
you can't be sure, but right now i would wait to sell and wait for a while to see where the top is and then sell there to buy back in case of a price drop or buy back in case of i miscalculated and price continued going up, since i wouldn't want to miss out on anything just because i sold!

Well it is an option to cash everything now. You would make some nice profit is you bought when it was cheaper.
I personally would wait a little longer to cash out because the price can still grow higher.
