Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).
It may remain calm and optimistic that rising or falling bitcoin prices has become an inseparable system of bitcoin, and if it does not have an immediate need, it may be better to keep bitcoin as a future savings. because I believe the bitcoin price will continue to rise and i n the future maybe the value of bitcon is so very rare because of the popularity of this.

Unless you are experienced enough I would say to avoid shorting as Bitcoin is a highly volatile currency and you might end up losing your investment once the price starts going up. But by buying BTC you wont suffer loses until you sell them.

which I do personally when the price drops then I will wait until the price back up and be patient and as much as possible not to be easily influenced to sell at cheap prices, in addition menungg I often do other activities such as refreshing or traveling to slightly forget the market conditions are being collapsed .

I really like when prices go down because I can buy altcoins and hold them, sometimes I also sell what I have despite the loss if I find another altcoin has the potential to skyrocket

If you want to ensure that you can earn profit, just hold all of your coins even the cryptocurrency market is going down. Holding is very effective way for us to easily double our money.

The best option is when the price is kept decreasing you should buy them and try to average your previous because otherwise you will end up in loss if you don't buy when the values is loosing. After buying wait for sometime until the price increases again.
I think the best thing we should do when the prices are falling is just trust our coin and dont sell it with a lower price, and for me should wait until the coins we are holding is we will pump and i think when the price was low is to buy a coin with a bright future in the market.
Should not have a blind faith in the coin, that is too dangerous, we are making decisions based on emotions, instead of thinking, while our job is trading, a job requires analysis, computation, and conditioning for speculation. So what we should do is analyze the problem at that time, we need to know what caused the market to collapse, if the problem is just rumors and not too big, everything will soon return, wait or buy more will be a good idea, but it's bad news and truth, cut losses would be wise idea

In my opinion, Patience is the only key which you need especially when prices are falling down in the market. In addition to this, I think the best way is you should also go for buying more of Bitcoin/Altcoin. This will help you in having more asset at less price, then sell it when price goes up again.

I usually do is just  when i know it's going down i sell earlier before the dump happens so i get profit even it goes down, but that's risky because it may go up.

all that I have to do is to hold all of my coins and wait for a big dump where I can get at least 3-8% of profit. then I dont look at its price every minute to avoid being stress after all

When I found out about the bitcoin and started trading, I read the forums and there I saw the advice I follow: if the price falls, you either need to sell at the beginning of the fall or just HOLD

You are exactly right specially if you are new in btc community. Many people do panic and all are unreasonably dumb since they think that they can gain if they sell in panic times. As of now the best strategy we need is hold if in dump or sell in the beginning time.

We have to get ready if price is falling. You must set aside for your budget for 3 to 4 months because that is our life in bitcoin. We have to wait for the price increase and wait for the campaign end to have a salary. But when price goes up you can have the opportunity now to dream. Because bitcoin gives hope to our dreams come true. Bitcoin high volatility is what bitcoiners waiting for.

I generally act while the market is under a huge pressure. This times are the hard ones and losing money is very possible in this case. I just watch the market, that's it for me.

I think when the price is dipping, you have to make the wisely decision like holding for the next pump or immediately selling to cut your loss.
This is your decision so noone could help you except yourself, it's depending on the scenario and situation so there will be no rule or similar solution.
Normaly people hold during the price is falling and some smarter  person really do buying because it is really an advantage if we buy bitcoin in a verry low price. We only need to have a small capital and buy more bitcoin during crashes,  so then the best thing to do is to hold or buy more bitcoin for good.

Enjoy your life! IF you truly believe in crypto-currency then shut off your portfolio and live your life. Prices do not depend on whether you check your Delta or Blockfolio app.  Wink

for better we hold it first until the value of bitcoin will increase again dont panic...dont think its a good idea to sell your altcoins because if you have that once alts increase your bitcoin will grow and for sure you will earn a lot of profit in the future if you do that....you can hold bitcoin right now for shorterm because the price today is not unstable but you can buy again and wait the price to increase the dollars and sell it for the shorterm but it depends to you how much do you sell....

No it is not good to sell your bitcoin at the panic as selling at the fallen price call as panic selling which is not good choice at all, try to hold your bitcoin in any kind of situation so you will not get lose at all, if you see bitcoin price is getting down then use your patience and hold your bitcoin for long time no need to sell it fallen price, the other I would suggest you to do is try to buy as much as bitcoin  you can buy for low price because after falling one price start to go high and it goes very high then.
