Well my brother got me interested in all this but he said i have to teach myself. He's developing Noirbits with some guys on the "grown up" boards. So tell me, i read the posts on all those coins, and it looks like the value of bitcoin is rising yet litecoin is falling, what is Gox, is it like bter? And why arent the new coins on bter? What other exchanges are there? ooh and someone said CNC but i cant find any information on it, is it a private coin? like mine only by invite?

More alt-coins aren't on exchanges because they are either too new, worth nothing or nobody is interested in them at all.
Another exchange: https://btc-e.com/

People have been trolling about Litecoin going on to Gox since it was first created. I don't see it happen with a value that's going straight down lately.
The only subcoins that interest me are Terracoin, Freicoin and the in development NetCoin https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mc2-a-cryptocurrency-based-on-a-hybrid-powpos-system-169204

Be a little cautious of basing your mining decisions on http://dustcoin.com/mining or http://coinchoose.com/ etc. These sites are great and an invaluable source of info, but for the new coins that are, shall we say, "volatile" they don't tell you what the situation will be like in a few hours when you've mined enough to start selling them. Also, make sure you take the rejected shares/blocks % into account when deciding what to mine. I get really low rejects on some bitcoin pools, but high reject % on many new coins.

So is it better to mined in a pool or solo mine
