zcash or eth baby!

ETH will be PoS next year.
I could not imagine that they will change their algo into PoS instead of pow or sha256 well i think it is impossible to them to do that unless if this is already their plan to convert into pos. and i can see that the price will decrease gradually because their change it into pos..

i hear around june! but i hope faster..so other coins can move to eth platform that have now POS!

ETH, Monero, Zcash in that order on 470 4g stock clocks with 1500 straps.

I think monero is a winner because of the low power consumption but it is cold as balls so the extra heat isn't a problem.  Depends also on your gpu arrangement as well to which coin is the best to mine, for YOU.

All coins are in toilet

zcash has the same power consumption per gpu and etheruem also, so no monero is not the best anymore in consumption terms, also it's not on par with profit with the other two...

sigh, here we go

Currents numbers for 470 1500 straps stock clocks from whattomine

Zcash 205 h/s = 88 cents day

Monero 640 h/s = 90 cents day

ETH  25 mh      = 97 cents day

Monero is definitely low watts on older gpu, for example  290s.  Im not sure about the rx cards perhaps it is the same but at least with xmr the coin doesn't tank every single day.

a 470 can definitely do more on eth than simply 25MH, it's 27MH at least and on some heavy oc even 30MH+

didn't know that it was so fast in cryptonight, probably nvidia is toof ar behind there, a 1070 can only do 600 at best

Ethereum mining with a Radeon RX 460 or RX 470 although not that great hash power is only 65 watt in RX 460 and about 85-95 watt with the RX 470. These are really low consumption cards and the RX 460 is really cheap even in price. I think the best coins to mine are ETH and ZEC with the above cards, maybe not that profitable but surely much better than monero. Monero is not worth anymore.

Hi
As the title says..
What do you suggest mining on 2016?

I have been mning Monero for the last couple of days (using my CPU/GPU using software Minergate.. (maximum i get is from 10 to 40 H/s) have only mined 0.011 having it on for 3 days straight day and night.. so i dont know...

What do you suggest i do for speeding Monero mining? or should i switch to another coin?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Why not mine with your hard drive instead? That's probably the best thing you can do.
Search for a coin such as BURST. They use Proof of Space by plotting data on the drive in order to measure it's capaciy and pay you in that way instead.

Best coin to mine would be Zcash at the moment as it is getting stabilized and we can expect to see it gaining more price in coming months. XMR is another candidate. ETH is getting pretty hard to mine with 2 GB cards.

Not any more. It is more profitable to mine the Ethereum now.

This is a joke right? You forgot there are X11 ASICs out there already?

Zcash

ZCash is not very profitalble to mine. now. If you have options, it is more profitable to mine the Ethereum now.

If you want to mine Monero, from what I know a CPU with AES-NI support have pretty similar hash rate as a GPU and the CPU power consumption is much lower.
With the rise of XMR price it may be profitable to mine it now, but I expect the price to fall/correct some more, so you have to keep your eyes on the price as much as you can.

I've heard nice words on ETH/ETC GPU mining, it may worth a try (I lack the hardware for that now).

if the difficulty of the Monero mining riese again, it is only profitable for the people with very cheap electricity prices.
