novice question, Can we unplug and move the system without any issue.

Probably the main thing you have to watch out for will be the network settings. Otherwise I suppose the rest should be fine.

CPU Mining
Mining Bitcoin with a CPU is pretty easy, because it only requires a computer device that can connect with a bitcoin mining network. This Bitcoin mining network, commonly referred to as a mining pool.
Many bitcoin aging factors are missing this CPU device. This is because Bitcoin results are not worth the cost.

GPU Mining
GPU (Graphical Processing Unit), commonly known as graphics card. GPU, can be used to mine Bitcoin. When compared to CPU, mine using GPU is still better CPU.
GPU or graphics card, is part of the video rendering system on a computer. Outline, GPU, there are special functions that are not performed by the CPU, this difference makes the GPU more profitable to mine Bitcoinuhkan CPU.

Mining FPGA
This device is a bitcoin mining hardware that is in the fold by the butterfly labs company "ztex german". This device uses chip technology at a price of $ 1 - $ 2.5 per Mhs.

ASIC Mining
ASIC mine device, based on SHA-256 / GHS algorithm. This device is widely used by Bitcoin cloud mining company. The ability to mine Bitcoin is certainly comparable with a price that can be considered quite expensive. However, using this hardware, will be able to optimize the results in mining Bitcoin.

Scrypt Mining
Scryp mining uses an algorithm that is simpler than the SHA-256 algorithm. In addition, the resulting hash mean is in kilohashes per second (kh / s), and Megahashes per second (MH / s). Harware used to be able to use scrypt mining does not have to use ASIC or other special hardware.

Wow! Did you find that article from 2010?

Come on, if you are going to spam, put some effort in it atleast.

With all this discussion I found that mining is not a profitable job. Too much you are investing on hardware like laptop or desktop and investing time and power for it and getting only12$ to 30$ per month. This is not  a profitable system.

Yes, agree with you. Just after analysing all the information before - it became clear for me that mining via GPU or CPU - and cooling systems as well will not guarantee that everything will work perfectly, and that it will give you a great profit. But buying some special equipment - it is also not so cheap, and first you have to offset the cost of all the the equipment and after that only some profit will be yours. And taking into account the fact that you will get 30$ the max per day.... Wow... This is somehow quite sad....
I feel you mate! Mining is more like having a far and planting some crops, then waiting for a while before you can even get your capital back. It is capital intensive and if you are going in for it for the future, you can still set up a simple ASIC and just do your little thing hoping for the best in value over time.

I believe with the presence of the D3, a whole lot of mining gadgets will start springing up which should make mining eventually easy, fun and cool to invest in.

Man it is not like you think of it. what you get depends entirely on what kind of system you have for mining. And using laptop for mining is like asking a 1 year old child to lift a 10 kg wright. So if you spend on your system then that will be only once. Then you will only get profit higher and higher.

Try and mine some monero (XMR), you can mine monero with your laptop and is profitable you have cheap electricity. You do not need a GPU, or asic or whatever, an I3 laptop is sufficient for this. With an I3 (withouth paying for electricity) you will get about 10-15 cents/day, if you have an I7, you will get about 25-40 cents/day, which is very good if the price of monero will appreciate.

Bitcoin? Nothing will make that really pay for you. Mining other coins is still a loss, but it is better than Bitcoin. All you need is the software. It is too hard to upgrade the GPU, but you can add more RAM if needed. IF your video card mines, then that is nice, but either way a laptop really doesn't cut it, even a PC doesn't work these days.

LuckyB.it is Back!
lots of good information in this thread. I'm going to start mining soon, so this was exactly what I needed. thanks!

Hey check all the posts buddy. Mining bitcoins with the laptop is not possible at all. Even with the multiple graphics cards mining bitcoin is not profitable bro. If you wish to start mining buy any higher end ASIC miner with the good hash rate and efficiency is fit mining with the decent profit. If you wish to do with the GPU, you have to go with the any altcoin only. Now Monero seems good for mining.

I have been having idea on bitcoin mining and if possible altcoins mining. Currently, I do have laptop and living in a place with almost free electricity. I will like you to advise me on tools to add to my laptop in other to start mining.

its not a good idea to mining bitcoin using your laptop because it will makes your laptop become hottest in short time. i think you should buy hardware like s9 antminer or L3 for mining litecoin so your laptop can be used for another things. even if you add gpu to your laptop, it won't work for a long time, your laptop become hot but its up to you.

Thank you for your advice. I would like to clarify one thing for myself - what is it the "24/7 operation"? You have meant it. What computer or advice would you recommend for this operation? Sorry for disturbing you, but it is really an interesting topic and fery actual for me now. I am thankful to you for your answer.

Try to add your gpu to laptop in order to facilitate the better performance system to do the mining without having to require big enough capital in buying and gain also can be satisfactory.

Mining with a laptop will just give your laptop an unnecessary load to carry and it wont even be worth it looking at what you will be getting from it daily. If you have some cash, I will suggest you get the present D3 from Bitmain made for Dash. It is very effective, more like the cheapest so far and you can quickly hit the ground running.

Although, unless you want to buy from retailers, you may have to wait for the next batch. Did you say free electricity? May I know the country you are from please? If you feel like sharing. Grin

"People are birds unable to fly."
I have tried to do altcoin mining on my laptop as test using MinerGate. Good thing is it has a smart miner that selects 2 coins that are more suitable to mine and mine them in dual mode.

Laptop has i7, 8GB RAM, CPU and low level GPU.

I mined actually XMR and FCN and after running it for almost a week 24 x 7 with 90% processer speed (on average), it's earning average was around $6-$7 per month.

Hope this helps.
