Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
;)Speaking of the first time, hey, that’s something I’ll never forget! The same goes for buying cryptocurrencies. When I buy it for the first time, I feel so excited that I feel like I have opened the door to a new world. The mood I felt at that time was simply more exciting than a novel.
However, after wandering around in the world of cryptocurrency for a long time, it is inevitable that you will be a little dazzled and confused by various temptations and fluctuations. But then again, truly smart people will not be fooled so easily. They are clear-headed and will carefully observe the changes in the market and will not be blinded by the superficial excitement. Unfortunately, there are not many such people. We ordinary people have to be leeks a few more times before we can learn some real skills and grow slowly in this cruel market. Cool Cool Cool
Learning about the crypto market should not be that hard for us if we know how to go about things that would help us to learn more from the market. There are people that far still looking for ways to go about there learning of crypto but they don't have the knowledge that everything can be learnt online by subscribing to some channels on YouTube where we could learn very without much pressure of paying for content.

My first cryptocurrency was a doge coin. I was introduced to the coin after all the hype by people around cryptocurrency world, but till I sold mine, I never gain any profit from the coin maybe it is because it was during bear market and I can’t differentiate between the two of them.
After that, any coin I buy do dump and I stopped buying altcoin until I get used to the forum and know how the market works. After knowing something about it, I keep myself to Bitcoin investment through DCA method as I am glad I have some fractions of Bitcoin.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that I heard of, but it wasn't the first cryptocurrency that I got.

When I was still starting here in the forum, I was lucky to join a signature campaign (altcoin paid), and while I'm posting here, I'm also learning and at the same time earning (through bounty campaigns). The first signature campaign that I joined was a project called "Paycent" where their bounty campaign became a success, and luckily they paid us on our Ethereum wallet. When it got listed on an exchange, I sold it immediately because, at that time, I already knew how to sell tokens.

Well, after that, I bought Bitcoin using my own money, and that's the first and last time that I will use my own money to buy Bitcoin. I'm just happy that this forum was introduced to me. I learned something new, and it opened another opportunity for me to earn as well.

Once a man, twice a child!
To cut a long story short, my first crypto was Bitcoin and it was earned here. That was in 2017. It was $1 for a little task a user here asked interested members to do for them. I won't be surprised to find that $1 worth over $30 now.

My first contact with bitcoin was just for means to make payment to scammers. The person that introduced me to bitcoin helped me download Blockchain and bought my first bitcoin for about $1510 which gave me close to 0.2 BTC then. I used it to make payment and later I realised it was a scam.
That's some huge cash now. Looking at the current value of Bitcoin, that's over $12k. I know remembering all that hurts but then it's a lesson learned. That's the way I see it. I've been there too. Each time I remember mine, I laugh at my naivety.

Quote
Later on the person that introduced me to the scam asked me to buy some shitcoins then that I will become a millionaire during the bull run.
That's a circle. In every circle, there are people who will make that mistake. I did in 2017. It was a crazy moment (bull rallies are, of course). The market tends to lose its senses during a bull rally. Every crypto seems to become alluring. One would think every investment would be a hit. There were tokens I bought that did well but I didn't take profit and they later dumped and dumped heavily. That's what happens in the crypto space. I hope many newbies here won't make that mistake of becoming overtly ambitious and greedy. Those who will, will eventually end up being the prey for the cashout.

Hello Leo! You can still win.
Re: What was your first cryptocurrency? Come share your story!
My story could be interesting but not actually exciting. It is full of regrets and disappointment but a great lesson I learnt from my experience.
My first contact with bitcoin was just for means to make payment to scammers. The person that introduced me to bitcoin helped me download Blockchain and bought my first bitcoin for about $1510 which gave me close to 0.2 BTC then. I used it to make payment and later I realised it was a scam.

Later on the person that introduced me to the scam asked me to buy some shitcoins then that I will become a millionaire during the bull run. I told him I wanted to buy the bitcoin which they used to scam me because I noticed that my money grew from $1510 to $1515 before I sent it to the scammer. He said bitcoin is too expensive that I should buy the ones he recommended. The rest is a history how my money all vanished.

Forum Only For Fun
That's what I experienced when I first got Bitcoin. It feels like you are in another world. The story of the first introduction may differ between us but the feelings felt do not seem to be different for all of us. Except it wasn't the first Bitcoin I had, so there's a different experience story.

This forum was the first door I got to know Bitcoin until I was at this stage where I was still trying to explore everything I didn't know about Bitcoin and all types of altcoins, although I didn't focus on all of them.
I can say that Bitcoin is the perfect coin and currency for me, so my knowledge will not be perfect if I don't try to find out about other things, such as why people continue to hunt for altcoins and shitcoins and why many people are still so interested in altcoin trading even though they already know the risks of trading with altcoins, the future potential of altcoins.

I remember my first coin that I bought and it was not bitcoin unfortunately. it was BNB Actually the time I bought it was at almost $16 usdt and It did go upto $30 usdt and I sold My BNB. I was so happy that day that it can't be explained that how happy I was. as time went by, after 3 days I check the price of BNB it was at $300 usdt. I was really disappointed that why didn't I hold it.

There is one weakness among new traders that is called FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). That is exactly what happened to me at that time. I sold it because my investment had become double that time so I did not want to lose that profit at that time. But it is okay. Now I have learned A lot about the market and have a huge understanding of cryptocurrency markets.

Well, That was mine. Hope to hear a lot of stories like this in here.

Bitcoin was the first currency I ever bought and traded.
When Bitcoin was still priced at less than $1k I started buying it on my local exchange. Maybe had about 1-2 Bitcoins at that time to trade, until I finally got to know other coins like Ethereum etc. I didn't do much, just try to learn how to trade and make a little profit with Bitcoin. But I didn't hold for the long term back then, just bought and then sold.

Since I've been here(Bitcointalk, and the broader industry) for a good while now, of course, it's Bitcoin!

And there's no special story around it. It's just me, and my hatred of the custodial service that is PayPal for pretty much taking my money for "damages". Hence why I got really interested in Bitcoin, and the rest is history.
Before joining the forum it was a shit coin that was my cryptocurrency held until the project failed.

Join the forum gave me directions, increase and it is still increasing my knowledge and accumulation of Bitcoin.

I tell whoever cares to listen that you don't need to orange pill people into investing in Bitcoin, they will not completely appreciate it.

My first cryptocurrency, which I personally experience, is Bitcoin. At the beginning of my journey, when I heard about Bitcoin I took an interest in it and started researching about it but soon as I found some chapta sites And started earning some satoshi on solving capta from them, I also I found some real sites like free-bitco.com and started earning satoshi from them. And long story short, i collected these clamied satoshies and deposited them in the exchange, and started trading on them, but due to inexperience or bad luck, he did not earn much profit. And after that, after doing more research and gaining knowledge, I reached this forum, and the story ended. Haha, how did you like my journey with the first cryptocurrency?

Crypto Swap Exchange
I got to know about Bitcoin somewhere around early 2011. I was curious enough to start some mining with a middle class graphic card and it didn't take too long to have mined "my own full first" Bitcoin and little more. But FPGAs and later ASICs took over the mining reign and mining Bitcoin with graphic cards wasn't really effective anymore. Anyway, I didn't want to miss the fun and excitement of mining back then.

As for other cryptocurrencies I look at them but mostly ignore or have no personal use-case. I don't care about shitcoins and shittokens. Premined ETH, thanks, I'll pass and don't want to support it. I acknowledge Monero for its privacy centric approach.

I'm busy enough to learn and deal with the ins and outs of Bitcoin alone. I'm fine with that.

It was defiantly BTC that started it all for me. The only two coins I really ever held were Btc & Ltc.

I mined ALL the shitcoins I could trade and converted them to BTC

Ill just leave this here but there are more!

Your name makes me feel your first purchased cryptocurrency is a GameFi token. I don't know when you buy your first GameFi token and if you did it in 2021, 2022, you already felt how painful it is with massive loss.

If you only buy a GameFi token recently, my reminder is those GameFi tokens usually have very bad tokenomics and they are super inflationary. A longer time you hold it, a more loss you will gain. Don't hope to get rich with GameFi tokens, it's unrealistic.

Is GameFi Dead? 3 in 4 Projects Have Failed.
What are you talking about? All in the name of trashing the guy you said something very wrong, the most lucrative return of investment that I've saw since 2022 was from gaming projects, you need the names? Here you go, GFal, Beam, Lit Lab, Myria, I've made from 8x to 12x from these gamefi projects, and lesser from shrapnel and Bigtime.

Your point isn't making sense, look into these gamefi projects and see their lows in 2022 and 2023, they are mostly in profits, there are others too that are doing so well but I don't have them.

I have heard about gamefi tokens having bad tokenomics but they still did very well in the last bull market, Axie infinity did over 1000x and Gala surge from lows of $0.004- 0.006 to $0.80, who are you kidding but yourself, all every smart investors need to do is get in the lows and get out when the tokens surge higher.

You know, when I read stuff about how truly smart folks can work the market, I gotta wonder - can't we all get better at keeping a level head and watching carefully? I don't think it takes a genius not to get fooled.  Maybe the cruelty people talk about comes more from trying to make a quick buck instead of slowly getting to know the game.
At least worth talking about, right?

To be honest I totally forgot I am thinking its bitcoin but Im not sure actually since my goal when I came to foeum was to earn from bounty before and might probably earned or acquired some tokens or maybe eth cause that time it was used as gas fee. Time fliges very fast before it was eth only but now there are lots of L2 on the line up. Well thats the story. In the end still forgotten the first one I had.

Like most of the veterans my first crypto was indeed Bitcoin and then I started making further investments with the profits and I don't used to do trading it was investment and when the value increases I will withdraw that profit and reinvest it into ETH while the initial capital will remain in BTC itself. The coin which gave me the most success in terms of profit was Ripple, Best season to earn was during the ICO I mean initial days of ICO where we used to get goo d rewards even on bounty campaigns and those coins used to reach exchanges unlike now.

I know the feeling, the first cryptocurrency you own can make you feel like you've belonged to a new elite people that owns a special digital currency, something quite rare and special. The first crypto that I owned was obviously Bitcoin, and it was gifted to me, I really treasured it and I'll just open my wallet, just to see how it's price is fluctuating. I guess majority of crypto holders started with Bitcoin because it's the most popular and most recommended of all the cryptos. Some can be unlucky in their first experience and they'll be introduced to some new scam project, these are people who will label all the cryptocurrencies in the market as scam because of their experience, except a knowledgeable person in crypto tells them the difference between a legit and scam projects.

However, after wandering around in the world of cryptocurrency for a long time, it is inevitable that you will be a little dazzled and confused by various temptations and fluctuations. But then again, truly smart people will not be fooled so easily.
I will not say I was not easy to fool, I was just lucky that I had someone to guide me, first leading me to this forum, then helping me when needed. I did not make the mistake of investing in some altcoin that later turned out to be a scam, my first investment was in bitcoins. And because I do not always like to learn from my own experience, I'm quick to learn from the experience of other people and from this forum, I learned that investment in other coins aside bitcoins can be quite dangerous and not give the outcome of making profit that you the investor desire.

I don't lose much money on investments because I have guidance, and I've made a profit. If I didn't have anyone to help me, I'm sure I'd lose a lot of money, which is why you should get guidance if you want to start anything, so that you don't make mistakes when investing or doing other things. If you invest in another coin, you can make a profit, but losing it will be very painful. That is why bitcoin is the best because even if you invest in bitcoin, the price will not fall so far that you will lose too much money, and if you leave it, the price will rise again and you will be profitable without losing anything. However if you invest in another coin, it will be extremely difficult to recover your cash if you lose it. It will take you a very long time to recover your capital let alone profit, if you want to reduce your risk, simply invest in bitcoin.
