For me,i still go with bitcoin.I know its price will sure to recover by 2019 and may even reach a new peak price.ETH and bitcoin usually made at the top position but i think ETH cannot surpass bitcoin knowing people will still prefer bitcoin over ethereum.

Currently the biggest market cap between all crypto is Bitcoin that more than 52% dominance, and for market cap of Ethereum currently about 1/5 from Bitcoin. I expect that to happen but we still have to also admit that first movers will always have an advantage whichever way. It is obvious the market is really getting competitive as we keep seeing different coins and tokens with product and business models popping up every day and it will start becoming a survival of the fittest in coming years as team will really want to be trying as much as possible to stay on top of their game. That is what we want and should be expectant of.
Bitcoin will still be the best currency in coming years. But we need to choose another one after bitcoins then that might be waves or eth kind of platforms most probably.
Bitcoin and Ethereum still become the most popular crypto in next a few years because others altcoin can not replace it yet. Both coin has potential to going up by multiple times because these coin has the biggest community and the strongest fundamental.
Even I believe Bitcoin will be the trend setter in the year 2019. This has so many reasons and besides all other, one is that no other crypto in the market has enough status and potential to outshine Bitcoin. This currency has gone a long way and despite hurdles in the way is still the leading one. If all the countries embrace the technology, I hope that it will be the future currency that will even push aside USD.Bitcoin will still remain on top with a great community and there is nothing anyone can do about that. The best coin for the year of 2018-2019 or maybe for longtim is the ethereum because you can make more money if you invested to this coin and that is ethereum the next potential bitcoin after few years from now. Just invest now and your money grow.

In my own opinion, bitcoins will be always the best cryptocurrency because most of the people invest on bitcoins which makes the price to grown even more because of the higher demand.

Except bitcoin and Ethereum out. I believe EOS and Cardano (ADA) will be very explosive. They will be the cryptocurrency of the future
EOS, ADA, LTC and so on can come up with a huge price but to me when it comes to best, I am looking at the value it creates to the community and how well it is being used.
Truthfully, I would say it is only ETH that is actually being used to its fullest right now as a smart contract platform but does not still mean that we should just expect the price to just boom as a lot of people usually expect.
We cannot predict which is the best altcoin for this year up to the future because from now on their are too many ico's are launching. We cannot predict which is the best because it defends on the market.

I am expecting many cryptocurrencies to rock in coming months and especially with Privacy coins like Monero, Zcash and also Golem, Neocoin, XRB, Tron, Ripple, and Bitcoin as i think they are going to get huge demand in coming months as their charts are showing some good technical pattern and once the price confirms the breakout then you can easily see a good 50% to 80% move in the bullish direction and i am sure everybody is expecting the same thing and having the same view in these coins.
