In my opinion it will continue to surge once bitcoin persistently pump its market price because in my point of view more or less alts were underlying into bitcoin and etherium is one of them.
The Ether price now show a sign of recovery and seeing how it is behaving it might end 2019 with a price of above 500 USD. If by the end of 2nd quarter Ether price crosses 300 USD then it is possible to end the year with the 500 USD prediction.

For me, I think there is a good sign for Ethereum to have a significant surge this year because of it's good performance shown a couple of days from now though Ethereum is dependent with Bitcoin but still one of the most popular Altcoin that leads the Altcoin market and will I think still be the one of the best coin in the market in the near future. I believe Ethereum price is gonna rise up again, but still it takes a time to up like end of 2017 when Eth reach the ATH price.
But we must happy now cause the current market conditions is good and were in the bull market, still long way to go but this is good start to rise.

bitcoin could strong influenced to another coins in crypto market.investors confidence on bitcoin price ,so if we see at this moment while bitcoin price rise alot it followed by altcoin too.and vice versa.so by observing this habbit we will find the correlation between bitcoin price and market confidence.

From the topic, Ethereum price is already on the rise, so I believe it may continue till the forth quarter of the year. Although there is still doubt if this is the bull run we all are expecting.
This is not the real bull run we are expecting, but the market has recovered a lot from the bear market we had and expected the market to be in full bull mode after halving, i am not sure what caused the market to recover this fast in a short period of time, but everything looks promising, we might see minor corrections in the future too but the bull run is yet to start and that will be a huge run and it might even save John McAfee's dick 
. 
We cannot really predict what will happen in the future but in current condition of ETH right now and the the market condition there is a big possibility that Ethereum price will continue to grow until the end of 2019 based on current market condition.
Though quarter 4 of 2019 is very crucial as there are plenty of holiday seasons that will likely to affect the holders of any altcoin but there is still a big chance that what happened last 2017 will happen again.

Awhile ago I checked the price of Ethereum and it was already 251$ each according at the coinmarketcap, Now Eth was begun to bounce its price too in the market. But still no one knows what will happen to eth price value, this has been tackled many time here too. Just like what everybody said that the market was too unpredictable.
it is difficult to say what will happen in 2019, because it is a long time so there will be many changes in 2019 unless you ask what will happen with ethereum prices in Q3 or next month then I will answer that it will improve but not necessarily the trend will last until the end of the year
Even though there is much more attention to Bitcoin at the moment since its still leading entire cryptocurency market, I still see Etherium as leading platform when its comes for large scale Dapps to build their ecosystem with blockchain technology. For small scale applications also its easier for project to build their projects. As per the market capitalization, Etherium is maintaining its second position. If everything goes well, I see etherium price to $500 until december. For long run, it may go again to $1500. At the moment, on dips, we need to accumulate more.
I agree with that, if we talk about platforms then we cannot deny the fact that ethereum is the most prominent and will continue like that because even though there is a lot of rivalry but I don't see a sign that they will truly destroy the dominance of ethereum and as we know that market demand and volume greatly influence prices so I assume that your predictions about ethereum prices are not excessive at all even I think ethereum can exceed your predictions 
We all know that ethereum is a good coin and the most profitable coin at all times that is why eth has possible increased its price this year with the help of bitcoin's movement in the market.Eth possible value increased this year is $500.
Sure same as other coin ETH will increase the price and for this we will have to take time and wait for the right time to buy and sell our ETH investment, it is good to see increase in price even if that increase of price is miner and not so high we should have faith and keep investing one day it will rise to the value we have expectation for.
I hope that Ethereum has got finally a great chance to continue its growth. The current situation on the market lets me believe that ETH can hit 300 -500 USD in the nearest future.

I think ETH price will following the market price, many coins has rising in the market now.
But if ETH developers keep developing Ethereum network and adding more updates, it will bring the price up.
I wonder what kind of market we will facing at the end of 2019 later.
Now, my question to them is this, how long will all of them continue to respond to Bitcoin Development alone? Does that mean that without bitcoin, they will not really work hard on their project that ought to have been the major source of this increase to them?

It may not surpass the previous ath of ethereum but I guess it will gain good value this year and hopefully it will not go back to its lowest price last time where it went below $100 per eth. It's quite pleasing now that the value of bitcoin and other altcoins are slowly regaining although there's always a sudden change on it where I could see green in my blockfolio and then it will change so quick into red market. Ethereum price might be more reliable by next year or by year 2021.
Since the atmosphere has started to shift , then nothing b, but increase is expected for a coin of Eth's reputation. Let just keep our fingers crossed as greatness unfolds for our assets.
