Mining has always been a wonderful rollercoaster because of how BTC / alt-coin prices seem to increase against all odds of known fear. Try to figure out a way to hold onto value for even more ROI. Making a profit comes when prices go up and holding enough from a large run before selling.

Quite a few smaller coins don't require GPU, but rather CPU or other storage mechanics to mine tremendous amounts in comparison.

Mining in 2018 I guess will become more popular. It is more popular because it can really attracts many people. It also helps many people on their living, so it means it will be more successful for the coming years. Eventhough sometimes the price of this drops but you must really have patience to wait for you to gain a lot, patience to wait until it will be back to its normal price. Mining is really a big help for everyone, so must treasure it.

That´s the kind of thing I wanted to hear!!

I was really affraid about investing on mining....

Thanks!!

Please I’m investing right now on mining.

And I want to know if is still goo to mine?

What will happen if there are no more GPU in the market?

Thanks
When blockchain 4.0 is coming the mining system will change a lot due to multiple chains, cross chains, heterogeneous forest system etc. But for now it will still be usable for a while.

Already mining difficulty increases badly bro, in this time you are expecting new blockchain ledger. May be shared get accepted faster as well as it needs high hash rate to perform the mining faster bro. This will not be welcome one for the GPU miners side.
I expect more minable should comes to market and it should grow bigger to make more profit per day.

I bought 36x 580 8gb for 700,00 each...

I think I’m going to have 1 year to 1-1.5 ROI.

But I thinks is going to be a good investment.

Let’s hope it is!!

I think you bought very expensive and now bad moment for start mining
But if you believe you will be get good profit in future
I am prefer Nvidia cards)

The nVidia cards are more power efficient. So they are good for people with expensive electricity prices.

Nvidea is about 15% higher price that the AMD RX 580 (here in Brazil).... So i´d prefer to stick with those!!

I think as weel NVIDEA are better GPUs, but I made my decision based on price.

700USD? Lol ... That wasn't smart at all.

Thats the Brasilian price of GPU. the payment is 10x (10 months to pay). and you can get 36 pieces of GPU....

Hopes it pays off in a year or a year and half.

the total investment is about 30K usd, with all rigs and parts.

Normally imported things in Brazil are double the price of the U.S market.

Could the cards be bought from USA, shipped to a forwarder, underdeclared value ($100 per card) and re-shipped to brazil? Or buy it used at lower prices? At $700 you are starting off at a huge disadvantage compared to everyone else. There should be some ways to pay less tax.

Imagine how to move that 30 cards, freghts, duties etc... I thought about it, too much work and the Goods can be stuck in Federal duties for months, I bougth some AliExpress PCIES, but it stuck... waiting to get it free....

I used to work with imported stuff, usually we pay about 100% DUTIES.

In U.S is difficult to buy more than 1 card...
maybe can buy 1 or 2. I was able to buy 30 at once. Its going to be paid in 10 months, so I didnd have to put all my money in. For this market, in MY COUNTRY it´s was kind of good business, now the same GPU s that I bought is valued 900 USD....

So I think I made the right decision by buying those 30 at once, I had 6 already...

I would have liked to have started the farm myself, but if before, it was possible to use even a calculator, now only on a powerful iron. I do not know what will happen next, the market of crypto-currency is unpredictable.

Right now it is really a bad time to build a mining rig heck even a gaming rig is not a good time to build to because of the bloated prices of GPUs and the manufacturers cannot keep up on the demand. Also there are news that manufacturers will limit the GPUs that are bought bey miners so that they can control prices.

BTC mining isnt really profitable anymore even with ASIC miners at present prices.

As prices crash, these hardware makers will probably sell less and less. It's all about supply and demand.

Unfortunately hardware prices are rediculously high right now. However, if the market keeps going down like it is currently you may see a huge supply increase in aftermarket graphics cards since people are getting demoralized. Personally, I would be patient and see if that happens (starting to happen with 1080 tis on eBay, a cursory glance shows avg resale value has dropped from around $1300 a week ago to $1100 as the market cools).

I think too ,its a rediculously high price, and waiting for a lower price to buy! the mining profit is going down than before.

I don’t know what will happen but I’m hoping to be picking up some cheap used GPUs from these people that are over paying, I couldn’t imagine how’d they feel if say ZEN dropped to $20. I’m ready for another crash  Smiley

Hey, I’ll take those off your hands for $150 when the time comes

it annoys me so many people who has absolutely no idea about mining start investing just because they heard others are doing.
this reminds me of both gold and oil rush in 1800's. The miners sucked hard back that time when the prices crashed.
Every single day we see new people with 0 knowledge create new threads asking what 2018 will be goor or bad.
Pure sheeple instinct.
Keep pumping money into this sheeple
