Yet in some countries it is completely illegal. What will you do if you are a fan of bitcoin but your country did not legalize cryptocurrency?

A countries restrictions doesn't stops you from investing in Bitcoin mate. You can always trade using p2p. Bitcoin is decentralized and at such, cannot be controlled by the government. You just have to be careful, if there are penalties against anyone found using cryptocurrency or Bitcoin. In my country for example, where Bitcoin is restricted, but still you can see my country among countrys with highest Bitcoin transactions.

Bitcoin is a very useful thing to many people. It has provided very good opportunities, job opportunity, trading opportunity and lots more for many people to earn money for their essentials of life. Bitcoin halving is fast approaching, giving many people hope of investment, and making reasonable profit at the end. Yet in some countries it is completely illegal. What will you do if you are a fan of bitcoin but your country did not legalize cryptocurrency?
Any problem or task can be solved in different ways. Often, several. It is difficult for me to give a definite answer at the moment because the legal status of bitcoin in most countries remains unknown. How will I proceed if bitcoin is not legalized? Now I can only speculate, because I prefer to solve problems as they arise.

Here are some possible solutions:
- continue to use the bitcoin despite this, because it is almost impossible to track it unless you convert btc into a traditional monetary system and maintain confidentiality measures.
- move to another country that is more cryptocurrency-friendly.
- don't use the bitcoin in the host country, but when traveling to bitcoin friendly countries, use it. That is, use it periodically and where possible.

God is great
If my country banned bitcoin & I wasn’t able to buy & sell in my country then I’d have to move to live somewhere else. Bitcoin is such a huge part of my life that living in a country that’s hostile to it just would not be possible for me.
This can be the only solution of buying bitcoin by moving to another location but this can be a very difficult for one because relocating to another country or town means starting life all over, getting a new job. This  won't be easy for people who already have business or a job which is their source of income to afford bitcoin.

It won't be easy to own a bitcoin in country bitcoin is banned because people who even have bitcoin to sell will be so private about  it. In country where bitcoin is banned it is either to buy through reliable person that is related to you from another country

If someone wants to use or invest in cryptocurrencies in a nation where they are not yet legal, they should think about the potential legal repercussions and speak with legal professionals to learn about the particular risks and implications of doing so. if they feel that the legalisation of cryptocurrencies would improve the economy or society of their nation, they may push for changes in the regulatory environment through peaceful and legal ways.

I hope evil-doers people will be caught instead of the people who use it to earn money, like trading. I would continue to use Crypto-currency even if the government did not legalize it. As long as I earn without harming or scamming anyone, I would love to continue using Crypto-currency.

Instead of illegalizing it, I believe the government should use it to increase transparency in government funds.

Fuck any sort of communist nation.  By not allowing bitcoin to be legal in your nation scream one main thing "we are scared of bitcoin and what it means to our own fiat currency, we understand it's decentralized nature goes against what we want, therefore we aren't going to allow it to be used in our country".

Bitcoin scares the powers to be.  So I would continue to buy/sell/trade OTC or via decentralized exchanges.

In the country I live in, cryptocurrency isn't legalize but it is also not frowned upon by the government. It exist and doesn't have any legal restrictions and acknowledgement as well. Hence, if nothing changes I wouldn't really mind at all since so far it is working for me. So I honestly do not mind the current status of cryptocurrency in our country. So far, in my years of holding and investing, I have yet to face a problem regarding the government as there is no illegal act in holding or investing crypto. Perhaps in a different country where there is a law mandating it, it will be much different.

In my country, perhaps initially there were still people who were hesitant to invest in Bitcoin because they thought Bitcoin was a scam, fraudulent and unsafe. So finally the government made a policy so that Bitcoin and other crypto could be traded legally as commodity assets only.

Bitcoin as an asset today can be used for investment to become rich in the future. But in my country, bitcoin is illegal if payment transactions use bitcoin, payments must still use fiat. Now in my country there is no need to hesitate to buy and sell Bitcoin, because it is regulated by the government. So investing in Bitcoin is safe, legal and trustworthy.

What will you do if you are a fan of bitcoin but your country did not legalize cryptocurrency?
Bitcoin is illegal in the country where I live. Millions of people in our country are involved in cryptocurrency while maintaining privacy. I have invested in bitcoins keeping privacy. I don't know when the government will legalize Bitcoin in our country. However, it is heard that Bitcoin is becoming legal in different countries of the world. If Bitcoin gains more popularity, maybe it will be legalized in our country. But I would hold Bitcoin for a long time in any case.

Another prove that you can't ban bitcoin. You can only make it harder for people to do what they want and a government that does it becomes hated.
Bitcoin gives us all a right to vote. If you held bitcoin for a few years you have enough money to go where you want and take your money with you. They can't stop it or take it away like they do with cash in China and many other countries. You can go where you want and move your wealth with you to a country that appreciates you.
They say it's voting with your feet. They don't want you here, so you move and pay taxes somewhere else. Jack Mallers moved to El Salvador because the US Gov. was being difficult, you can do the same and it doesn't have to be that country. Bitcoin isn't banned in most of the world, so there's a lot to choose from.

It's pretty simple op. VPNs! Don't use free VPNs. Instead, subscribe to a high quality paid VPN service which will help you stay anonymous online and dabble with all cryptocurrencies without any issues.

TOR is another useful alternative in my opinion. World governments cannot stop BTC no matter how hard they try and they know it.

I also belong from a country where  Bitcoin/ cryptocurrencies is illegal. Regularly we have warnings or notifications on our phones and posters in various places that trading cryptocurrency is illegal and you may go to jail.
Still, a survey showed that around 4 million people in our country are connected to this crypto currency world. Currently I can not remember the news source. However, 4 million people is not a small number. So I think here if one follows the privacy protocol and some tricks then I think even if Bitcoin is illegal in your country you can work with it, but you may not get the full facility that if Bitcoin is legalized. In this case I think  if in your country Bitcoin is illegal  even then if you want to work with it  First of all  you have to learn the  how to maintain privacy.  You can also get help from your local community if you want.

There are more countries where bitcoins have no status or an illegal status than a legal status, and from many of those countries, there are still forum users from there. Smart investors do not care about the opinion of the government on bitcoins because they know the merits. There are ways to keep your activities of having bitcoins secret from the government and avoid punishments. Many people have already opted for that option than choosing not to invest in bitcoins because they understand the regrets that will follow for choosing to follow the government whose decision is sourced from biased opinions.

it is unlikely that the majority of governments in the world will legalize bitcoin because we know that the nature of bitcoin is decentralized and anonymous, and governments hate it because they cannot monitor and tax transactions made by users. not to mention that bitcoin has various features that have the potential to disrupt the distribution of fiat and the government will not allow that to happen.

actually it's not a problem for me. as long as there are p2p platforms and internet access, it doesn't matter to me whether the government wants to legalize it or not. even though it's a little more complicated because i have to circumvent government monitoring, that's not a problem for me.

Why government don't want to make Bitcoin as a legal means as of now is because they can't control it due to Bitcoin's decentralised nature but that is not an issue either because exchanged are now implementing the use of P2P of which one is even doing some giveaway. So yeah, we can always Improvise.
BTC has always been p2p electronic cash right from the time it was created, it was created for transactions to happen between peers, but without any central authority as an intermediary or third party. By the way what does the "giveaway" in your post mean, i don't understand what you mean, but take note that there are a lot of scam platforms in the network and if you are promised coins in any giveaway but you are asked to send funds to them first, then it is a scam.

I am a big fan of Bitcoin but in my country Bitcoin is not legal In my country if anyone uses bitcoin openly then legal action is taken against him and the government has announced that if anyone suffers financial loss through bitcoin then the government will not be responsible for it and central Bank is not ready to compensate for it. On the contrary, legal action will be taken against him. Yet in my country HUGE number of people trade and hold bitcoins. Since Bitcoin is a decentralized currency, even if the government tries hard, it cannot stop the use of Bitcoin.
It is very admirable that you continue to use Bitcoin despite the lack of Bitcoin legalization in your country. But as the use of bitcoin is increasing day by day and big companies have started accepting bitcoin and since huge number of people are involved with bitcoin in your country even though bitcoin is illegal in your country, it is expected that bitcoin will be legalized in your country in the future. Then you will be the most expert person in the country who will know about Bitcoin and make big things with Bitcoin in the country. good luck for you bro

BTC to the MOON in 2019
What will you do if you are a fan of bitcoin but your country did not legalize cryptocurrency?
I could not think about leaving my country just for this sake. Therefore, I have nothing to do but to stay away if that is illegal in my country. Can't force myself to invest when it is against the law unless I want trouble but I want peace.

It is very unfortunate for those people who live in a country where there is no freedom to invest in Bitcoin. It was indeed a great opportunity for them but it was hard to go against the government and suffer the consequences. And such an opportunity becomes hopeless.

Bitcoin enthusiasts does not stop there when your country does not legalize bitcoin. Continue your routine of accumulating more bitcoin, but stay being low key and private so that the people around will not be suspicious that you are into bitcoin. Bitcoin has its anonymity feature so I don’t think it will be a problem.
And those who owns it should make themselves anonymous because to those people that are in countries where it's not legal, you'll have a bad time defending yourself.

If you decide to withdraw and use your bitcoin as a payment, then just go into a country where bitcoin is widely legal and is free to use so you can also enjoy your fruits of investment.
Even it's not legal, there could be other enthusiasts that are also hiding in shadows but are willing to do the deal done.

I know that my country will never legalize Bitcoin, the reason is because Bitcoin is decentralized and the government will continue to maintain fiat money as a legal means of payment. But I don't care about the government's decision, I will legalize it myself, in my own way and without asking permission from the government first.

I have the right to determine my own destiny in facilitating foreign transactions and online shopping using Bitcoin. So far I have benefited a lot from Bitcoin even though the government in the country I live in only considers Bitcoin as a commodity asset, I have made many transactions using Bitcoin when shopping online. The government never knows about any activity I do because it is private and there is no need to use third-party services.

I mean in my country Bitcoin and cryptocurrency weren't really legal but at the same time it wasn't illegal to buy or have a transaction on cryptocurrency, In my opinion since cryptocurrency most of it like Bitcoin was centralized there wasn't really any need for it to be legalized since it is just like the internet it will still going to operate as long as there is a community. In the past year cryptocurrency wasn't really that popular and in my country there are probably a only few people who invest in it and believe in it, most people identify cryptocurrency as a scam because it is always involved in illegal transactions like what they see on the news, but today it is already adapted by a lot of companies and even banks here in my country support cryptocurrency. So without any legalization cryptocurrency is gonna continue to adapt in a lot of countries and in my opinion there is no need for it to be legalized, I mean government might just do something about it, trying like taxing it or something like that which is a bad thing for people who invest on it.
