What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?

If that happens then all of the bitcoin users will be criminals but I doubt that all of the governments will ban bitcoin, Why? First bitcoin is not illegal, If it's illegal then all currency will be too. It's a common thing that it depends on the user itself unless the number of  crime is increasing through the use of bitcoins.

Government can't ban bitcoin unless there is a valid reason. Not all governments will be able to ban bitcoin. There will be some place where it is legal.

The general trend Is that's it being accepted. So put your fears out if your mind. They won't be so relax
Yes you are right for people who made investment into bitcoins small amount but it will be different for the people who made investment much money, it will become serious problem and it must be anticipated by them or they will be lost the money.

This is just speculation, so I would be thinking that way too and it is not going to happen for real. Unless the government is the one that will totally ban bitcoins for their respective countries. But if that happens, I think I will still do something in able to use with bitcoin. Because there are a lot ways to keep on using bitcoin even your government will ban it.

I guess if Bitcoin was banned, there would be no more exchanges as the would all be shut down. I would still use Bitcoin because how would they track me down? But Bitcoin wouldn't be adopted and you wouldn't be able to use it, except for trading with other Bitcoin users.
I think the problem is not when they can not perform tracking you, but when the exchange began not accept bitcoin then I think it would be a big problem for bitcoin, because although however high the price of bitcoin, but when bitcoin is not included in the market or exchange, of course bitcoin will not work anymore
but I think that banned from governemnt will not be making exchange stop accepting bitcoin
The government, I think will not track you because many users of bitcoin will still use it so there are too many people use it. The government will ban the bitcoin sites Like gambling, trading or any bitcoin related things. I think alt coins can be banned to if the government banned it.

Bitcoin can't be banned totally.
Why? Because it is legal. Many countries are using it and they also earn by investing to it.
If there is a chance to bitcoin to be banned, I think it is just for some country and not in worldwide.
Most of us needs bitcoin.
It's not legal at all. The government simply say that they don't regulate this currency which also means "I have nothing to do with that if something bad happens to you or your money." There are countries where bitcoin is illegal but we don't see people from those countries struggling at all when accessing the bitcoin world. It's the Internet, people are free to do whatever they want since they can always remain anonymous.

You right event goverment can not stop the users of bitcoin to use it as a currency. So nothing happen if goverment banning bitcoin, it does not affect on bitcoin. Government can not rule bitcoin.

Super agree here, its not easy to banned bitcoin but it may happen. If ever a bitcoin will be banned, people wil always find a way to seek alternative currency in internet. Birth of more altcoins or tokens will be popular it happens.
actually if government were banned bitcoin they will also mention a sentence  "bitcoin and any currency that is similiar" so other coins will  be considered as the same as bitcoin and will be banned too,so you can't move to another coin if bitcoin were banned

If Bitcoin was banned it was much more valuable than it has right now. People who are in Bitcoin from 2013 know through what it went and faced resistance by governments and banks. That was time when it saw all time high price because of being used by independent whales in that banning or bad period. I am sure story was similar if it was banned.

Bitcoin won't get banned, because even in countries where bitcoin has got strict regulations people continue to use it. Even when the world economy was shivering due to few countries economy fall bitcoin was on the rising side without much disturbances from the world economy crisis. So even if bitcoin gets banned in few countries nothing will get affected due to bans, because those users continue to use through some other means.

First of all this statement is false. as many countries such as Thailand, Ecuador, and Russia declared Bitcoin as illegal, unregulated currency. Also other countries don't allow the buy and sell of Bitcoin in their country. Your bitcoin right now currently haw no laws for providing arrest or criminal liability but if something big arises from that expect to have a new law for it.
IIRC Russia is actually warming up to the idea of Bitcoin and they don't think of it completely as some form of illegal foreign currency to be burned along with whatever else they don't like. Some of the government officials are speculated to have some Bitcoin holdings as well, as because of that they might all have a slight conflict of interest.
Using bitcoin gives us freedom and how can the government would think about banning bitcoins when people are patronizing it, that is a complete violation of our human rights I guess as people created the government, it was our votes that put them there so they should respect the voice of majority, only corrupt government will ban bitcoin.
You right event goverment can not stop the users of bitcoin to use it as a currency. So nothing happen if goverment banning bitcoin, it does not affect on bitcoin. Goverment can not rule bitcoin.
Yes Government can not control bitcoin but it can create many hurdles if it ban bitcoin.all merchants have to stop accepting bitcoin if ban is imposed on bitcoin. You can not convert bitcoin to your local currency because you will be caught in that case

if the whole world's countries government will declare it as illegal and bann it then its single solution will to not to use because no proxy will work .
secondly we have the solution to genrate new coin instead of bitcoin .
but i think if bitcoin starts to give some tax to the government then no one countries will declare it as illegal .

if the possibility of Bitcoin banned by the government, I think the best solution is to let only if the government banned in the real world, but not to the world of the Internet. until now many governments in the world that still prohibit the use of bitcoin. but the fact remains always leading bitcoin prices of commercial value in this world.

That is now the case because only a few countries have banned bitcoin, but just imagine if all the countries in the world ban bitcoin then what would happen? We would even not be able to use it on internet as the bitcoins would be off no use if no one will exchange them to fiat for us.

Governments can declare many thing. I think the would be some protests on the streets, at least. Protests not just about Bitcoin but connected to the problem of human rights being violated by the government, because using Bitcoin is not obviously something bad to do. And eventually governments will start to accept Bitcoin then.

I agree although bitcoin is banned usage on every countries, the impact is just on bitcoin's price will going down but it is just for short term and bitcoin's price will going up again. Baning usage bitcoins will not kill bitcoins because there are no people or government who control it.

I would  disagree   with you hence bitcoin is  not  legal  on all countries worldwide and some  have been banned  it already.  We cant really do anything about it hence  its   government decisions but still no matter how  government would  restrict it people  would surely find a way to use it and  we could able to  use VPN anytime in able to access it anytime but be sure that  you wont   get caught.
