Don't worry too much about it. It won't be the end of the world. If a Pope dies, another one is going to be elected! As simple as that.
If bitcointalk won't be available for any reason tomorrow, next day there will be another forum or portal running exactly the same business.

You have a point there because if one way closes, thousands open up for live to continue. It is certain as it stands now that cryptocurrency and blockchain has come to stay and no doubt that bitcointalk forum non the less, is a very big support for ico

Do not die for Putin
It is difficult to imagine really, I think that if Bitcointalk did not exist, we would have to invent it. I have never had so much fun in any other forum I have participated in.

This is a good observation. As a matter of fact, i have not seen any ICO lunched without passing through bitcointalk forum. Virtually every developer knows that this forum houses so millions of investors. Even developers who are yet to be registered here, still find their ways here or connect with someone who is already registered here in order to publicize their projects.

Yes, that. I have monitored ICOs that chose to bypass Bitcoin talk and then didn't do that well — may not have been the only reason, but one of the glaring ones for sure.
Engaging with potential investors directly is vital, and the forum is one of the best places to do that, if not the best.

If it goes, something else will take its place, guaranteed.

I think I share the opinion above that bitcointalk forum though was once a platform to get investors, it now has turned into a site for just money making by ICO promoting members.

Interestingly not many are concerned with the projects they are promoting and has now taken it as a earn n dump on DEX strategy

I think icos would still survive

There are no impossible in this modern world and there can be no underestimation either
Which is why there is need to be optimistic always

I think the forum should find a way to regulate and fish out the fake icos from using the forum
Let’s be positive

You are right with your point. Bitcointalk might be a backbone to ICO now but nothing is impossible, the world is changing and innovative ideas through is going on. So ideas may come up that will provide an avenue of promoting ICOs and detect a scam one.

I do not believe that bitcointalk is major opportunity for ICOs to let investors know about themself. Bounties do not bring that much hype like good rate on icodrops or review from Suppoman

Until the ruling from the government, I won't be investing in ICOs.  And yes, bitcointalk is their lifeline.  ICOtalk isn't too popular.

Where would ICOs be today without bitcointalk forum? What will they do if the forum shuts down for some odd reason?
From the posts I read (I stated before in a post, I am more of a reader than a poster, so pardon my mistakes), it seems that all ICOs are breathing bitcointalk.org.
It's probably one of the last active and alive forum in the world and the essence of all Initial Coin Offerings that are launching every day. They are way too many, and too many think they can raise tons of money to fund their ideas easily. As a matter of fact, this forum is the only real catapult for ICOs along with its community. The rest looks like a morning dense fog that tests your driving skills to the max... people(investors) get crashed a lot lately in the ICOs ERA driving through the foggy projects that kids invent every day to get some "lambo" cash.

So the big question, where will ICOs stand till 2020? 99% scam | 0.5% legit projects | 0.5% worthless legit projects; Will bitcointalk still alow ICOs to be posted/promoted/pumped in here?
