It's a matter of priorities, protecting the account is up to you and failing it is your fault.
Being a legendary member or a newbie does not make a difference in your posts but your profits. So the forum is not forced to protect your profits.
You'll get it, but I do not think it will happen anytime soon.

is it that hard to implement?  (legit question).
Yes. Smiley

A big possible reason is that I'm the only person who does development on the current code, and my time is limited. Another big reason is that this is a huge forum with complex dynamics, and even small policy changes can have big effects which need to be thought through very carefully.

I've been waiting for this feature for more than a year already, too. I'm pretty sure my accounts are secure(including my bitcointalk account), and that it's unlikely for my account to get stolen unless bitcointalk itself gets compromised, but that extra layer of security would help A LOT.

Probably the same reason(being busy). 🤔

It has been asked/suggested so many times that there is nothing more to add.
Find the dozen of threads and read each of them

I know this has been asked on the forum before
but i'd like to try to go a bit deeper on the question.

Are there any possibilities on admins making 2FA available on the forum and any interest on the subject?

First reason would be that it'd make users more secure.
with the raising of bounty campaigns, airdrops and so on, and even the thread of people selling bitcointalk accounts, this could be a meaningfull layer of security to protect users.

I know: We can put available 2FA on our main emails of bitcointalk accounts (and this is a must: if you haven't do it now!)
but still would be meaningfull to have it on the forum.

is it that hard to implement?  (legit question).
