Bear season or just the beginning
I would invest NEM/XEM because I believe this coin has great potential in the near future. It is invested by real investors, though it's price hasn't been moving that much it means to show that it is not played by the whales and not a pump and dump kind of coin.

There are so many alt coins currently available, some have potential, some have not. We can keep discussing forever, most of the time its a personal choice. Untill the big mass/investors adopts a coin it will stay at the high potential level..

I am following the XRB community closely.

If I had the chance, it would be Bitcoin and NEM. Also I like to invest in lower-valued coins (priced at 1000 Satoshi or lower), so that any pump, even a small one, would bring some nice profits. Something like XBY, SC, or BCN.

"Also I like to invest in lower-valued coins (priced at 1000 Satoshi or lower)"

Marketcap might be high althogh price per coin is low, typically when there are billions of coins, so be aware of that.

Shit poll. BTC is the OBVIOUS choice, but that's a constant. List doesn't include - Stratis, AntShares (NEO). ETH shills, shilling.

NEM is the best tech, but I'd pick Ardor because it's trading at a lower market cap and a competitor to ETH that's better scalable. Ardor has one of the most attractive market depths on poloniex right now, with plenty of buy limit orders in place, showing plenty of demand. Ardor was made from scratch by the NXT team, and includes child chain technology which will make is more scalable than ETH.

Burst is a one trick pony... using hard drive space is interesting, but that seems to be the only thing the coin has going for it.  BitAsean is a gimmick really.. you don't need a currency for a specific region.. any currency can be traded in any country.

Coins I like not on your list...

PascalCoin... blockchain trim technology, where account numbers hold your balance and the transaction data gets trimmed, resulting in a relatively small max blockchain size, along with enhanced anonymity since transaction data eventually gets trimmed. 85% of all the coins trading are held in poloniex's wallet right now (account number 86646-64)

Xtrabytes... static node technology where each node confirms the transaction

Syscoin.. has various features including a version of blockchain trim and has been under gradual development for some time. A relatively mature platform.

VIACoin... it's LTC on steroids.. under active development working in segwit and lightning network with some big whales behind it.

Ark

Bitbay

Shit.. I mean Shift (yes I own this one)

Nice list, i Like VIA coin as well. Ill have to take a look at PascalCoin and Xtrabytes, thanks for the recommendation !

I go with xem mate as we knew that its still have a long way to improved best and still undervalued long would be for another year and from what we see after rising up from 400  sat to 10k+ sat I think it can be more to come coming out from this project I'm trying to keep accumulating and hold then wait for the big rise again.

I'm thinking to invest in Burst coin, I think it will grow in a year or more because it has a lot of potential, easy to mine (but pricey HD) but i will buy more TB HD after setting up my new bought PC for mining Burst Coin. In the past i had Ardor i was planning to hold my Ardor but before the price went down i sold them all.

I'm a noob but I like sys for the next year at least. I've had them for a while and they've done really well.

I think sia has a lot of potential as well. It will be interesting to see how much the price of coins increases if/when they can start stealing people away from big cloud server companies.

Probably would be a great time to get in on a DAG coin of some sort. I know IOTA has it, but I'm still researching that. Just keep reading and learning

Hell Bitcoin this year may be the safest bet with Australia adopting it and what not
