Ad maiora!
I paid about 50 dollars for my ledger and am satisfied. I paid more than that for my leather fiat holding wallet so why not? If I could get all the features and security of my ledger for 15 dollars I would gladly shell out that much, but as I said, I've already got a ledger so I'm good. If they start making really cheap wallets I might look at them but I would have to be sure it was trustworthy and safe first. We will probably see hardware wallets come out for very low cost soon, more every day

I would pay whatever it takes if I have a lot of Bitcoin , anything for privacy & security but for the moment I don't so max I'd pay is probably 30$ which is still low because I want Case Hardware wallet and I just checked their website to see the price ,and I want to suicide . http://choosecase.com/ , most likely it's created with gold or diamonds on the inside otherwise how in the world it would cost 199$  Shocked  Shocked
Their product has everything a mobile phone has - except mobile phone - so I'm not surprised at the price tag at all.

To me its just not good design to put that many features in a product, of course I'm quite biased (see my sig Wink).

Right now the two cheapest hardware wallets are the Ledger HW1 and the BlochsTech Bitcoin card at 15 and 20 EUR respectively.

However what would you consider cheap? At what price would you get one (either/other)?

Do you think dedicated devices help Bitcoin usability and security or are apps and SMS services the way forward?

If I had a decent number of bitcoins, I would happily pay 25€ to buy one.
It does make other problems, i.e. that you can more easily have it stolen or lose it, whereas secure web-wallets are much better for that.  I think holding in a mix of the two would probably be best.

I would like them to be bigger, like an external HD size, a usb stick is too easy to lose.  It isn't something I want to take with me, it would be like a form of cold storage for me, with my web-wallet being a hot wallet.

I would consider 10€ cheap.

i would pay around 10-15, something like an usb but more reliable and more secure, that maybe offer signing offline and performing an offline tx, would be ideal for me

there was something like that, but i don't remember it anymore, it started with a B, there was a thread with all the bitcoin HW wallet, i need to find it...
