Good idea, buddy. If you're new to trading or trying to teach someone how to invest their money, you should learn a lot and avoid getting involved in anything related to it until you've gained sufficient knowledge. Trading is not for the mentally weak, and you need to know what the risks are. You should also keep learning and ask questions about the things you don't understand. If you jump into trading without knowing anything about it, it's like starting a business without knowing anything about it.

Well suited. The important thing is not to buy when the graph is straight. What must be accepted first is losing in strategy and this is the most dominant thing that happens. especially when prices are high where there is a fear of being left behind. Even if you wait a little longer, at least 1 hour, the price will be different.

Hello,

With all the knowledge you have everything regarding cryptocurrency, what would you tell your younger self in order to learn the best / fastest to get the most out of this space?

Such as: trading, strategies, technical info, learning methods etc etc,

Any help or guidance is appreciated  Cheesy

I would never tell my younger sell to enter into the cryptocurrency, as I think mostly people have been here who made a lot of money through the crypto but the fortune of mine in crypto is too bad I think, because whenever I have bought a coin its price goes to low and then the market goes green when I sell it. In this way I have been here for more than 10 times it happens to me, which made me so confused in trading.

I would always tell myself as a younger to invest in the real works or real business like that I would manage by myself not by any market, or in which I didn't have any fear of losing money at all. Nor I want to look for it again and again whether the market looks green or red and so on. This would be better for my younger self and even for my upcoming generation.

I'd advice myself to not get involved into trading to begin with. Retail trading is just waste of time and money.

The second thing I'd advice myself would be to... Keep learning more about the crypto space. Maybe don't create a dozen of topics asking basic questions which could be answered with a google search, but yeah, with everything considered, there isn't one thing I regret about learning.

(Ok, maybe I convinced myself to buy a little more  Tongue )

If I'm young, I will be finding it hard to try understand trading and for that, I will squeeze my pocket, empty and buy bitcoin, I will continue to buy and hold until I had enough and then make sure it's perfectly secured in a hardware wallet where I can get access to and also make sure that nobody have access to it except me. I will also convince my family to do the same which I believe they are going to because going back in time means it will be cheaper and they can purchase them.

However, since having that great days is impossible. Learn trading, understand it and take your time to practice is it either in demo mode and real time mode to understand everything about it, you will enjoy money in bull and bear market but more importantly, look into margin trading and explore more on it with small leverage, you will get most likely the same profits some bitcoin holders will have but then again, you need reasonable amount of capital.

I would have told my younger self to not just learn efficiently but learn ASAP because for some reason, even if it seems I’ve been here for a while, I still wish I knew all of this earlier. I’ll also advice my younger self to be careful and do thorough research before ever investing in any cryptocurrency at all. Also, diversify my portfolio and have strong grounded tokens. I’m saying these because I made some mistakes because I didn’t know better.

Don't be faster than your shadow, take you time to learn many things that related to cryptocurrency before thinking on how to trade because, many newbies has jump into trading base on the finance they have and lost everything at the end. Once you know how to control your personal details, and when to buy BTC which is the best coin you can invest your money and I have good results to achieve in the future. Just be patience in your hodling because, many has experienced a lot of things that make them to rush to the market to release their coins and regret when they see the price continue increasing.

Do everything possible to obey the rules and regulations that governed this bitcointalk.org so that you will enjoy the benefits that attached to this wonderful platform because, there are punishment for any rules you break in this platform.

If it's a hypothetical question and I'm supposed to ask my younger self from when I first came to know about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, I would probably ask my younger self to borrow some money (because I didn't have any at that time since I was a student) and buy a bunch of Bitcoins because when I first came to know about it, one Bitcoin was worth only about $400 or something, and if I could get about 5 to 10 of them, I would have a lot of wealth by now.

The second thing I would tell my younger self is to learn more about trading and trading practices at an early stage and start trading as quickly as possible to have earned a good enough amount by the time I grow older so that I don't need to work and become financially stable and become a full-time cryptocurrency trader and enjoy my life.

I just have to motivate myself to get out of my comfort zone, especially if it doesn't make me grow and develop. The hope remains – today must be better than yesterday, so I will oblige myself to study and learn about something that will allow me to take advantage of this growing industry to gain financial freedom.

You can take advantage of anything depending on your interests - including trading or investing. I don't see any problem if someone focuses more on trading than investing because both can encourage them to make profits. I tend to prefer investing over trading - so developing strategies and other things about investing are the lessons I focus on.

I'd advice myself to not isolate myself from likeminded people particularly those in the crypto space. Yes, I know we can learn alot of things about this crypto from YouTube and other places on the internet but me thinks we learn faster when we have friends and colleagues teach it to us and are always there to answer our questions and resolve our confusions.  We may have to work twice as hard to get the answers if we were using the internet but a candid conversation with friends may resolve our issues within minutes. It may not be deep but it sets the foundation for other knowledge.

Look for lots of brothers (community) who really understand. It's possible to learn autodidactically, but if you get stuck you need something called a community because not all technical issues can be easily explained on the internet. Sometimes looking for the answer someone spends quite a bit of time and money. However, by building communication and having known information, it will be easy to reach, there will always be someone to help, accompany and direct if there are problems, whether you want to trade, create an account, withdraw assets to profit or whatever it is related to crypto investment.

The truest statement I have read on bitcointalk today. At some point everyone has tried trading but what makes the difference is that some realised earlier that trading is not for everyone and had to quit. I am among  those lucky ones that realised the truth earlier and had to quit after a few trading mistakes.
There's a group that has attributed trading success to luck, as such they believe that they will continue to trade until they become lucky to have a major profit one day, maybe it can be called trading jackpot  Smiley

There are other lucky Smiley ones—those who listen to the feedback of other, truly experienced people and take into account the advice not to get involved in trading. Learning from the mistakes of others is a better way out than your own experience, which can forever discourage you from wanting to do anything. I am the lucky one who sensed the danger in trading and never got involved in such activities. I don't regret it; instead, I gratify myself with thoughts of how much money I saved by protecting myself from trying to trade. But yes, sometimes there are very stubborn guys for whom trading really opens up the opportunity to make money. You can only respect them.

I second that, but I think that's something that basically everyone has to go throught by themselves as I don't know a single persopn who is in crypto that haven't tried trading at some point, thinking thatits a no brainer and an easy way to earn money.

For maximum results in this space? how do I want to say it because I feel this space is a place for discussions that give each other ideas about all things related to Bitcoin and the crypto space.
Personally, there are still many things that I don't understand. Maybe what I want to say is learn everything related to the part you enjoy by actively participating in the discussion. The specific thing is to prioritize learning to understand Bitcoin and crypto before learning about trading.
Later, if you can understand Bitcoin and the many types of cryptocurrencies well, learning about trading and investing will be easier.

What are you waiting for, it is time to learn something that can benefit you in the future. We are still young, we don't have the responsibilities of people who are married and have children.
Take advantage of your young age to learn something new that can be used as capital to earn income. You are very lucky, because when you are young Cryptocurrency is growing, if you waste time at a young age, you will regret it when you are old.
Maybe that's what I would say to myself to motivate myself to be more serious about learning about Bitcoin and other crypto assets.

I will apply the study strategy slowly to get the best results, the fastest study system will probably lead me to some mistakes that I don't realize. It doesn't need to be too fast or in other words like a premature one that develops before its time. Learn gradually, you will achieve the best results.

Would you say 26 is old? I will keep on learning this space =)

Trading is a NO NO for me... Atleast for now.
I've lost alot of money through that route and I think I've just been too much in a hurry - that infact, is something I won't wanna try again. I'd also wanna increase my HODL overtime too.

uhmmm ... Your name gives me too much concern and it tells alot about your reputation - you got registered the same year like me too but what happened all of a sudden?? You lost your interest? Wouldn't that be the opposite of the reasons why you made up this post??

cryptocurrency is all about making money and i must leave the risk and take the fun and opportunity for making profits in it.

Currently, people who come to the crypto market are oriented towards growing their money. In fact, quite a few of them think that putting money in crypto will double in a short time.
of course that is wrong thinking. but we see such people asking us about potential assets.

every beginner is too hasty. that was their mistake from the start. they do not approach assets or markets. don't know how to trade well but are beginners who are determined to invest and trade.

I would tell my younger self to learn only the basics of safely holding Bitcoin, to learn about Bitcoin market cycles so I could sell at the top and buy back at the bottom, and other than that don't dig deeper and instead focus on studying other fields that can be a source of income, like programming, for example. That's because aside from the initial earnings from buying Bitcoin earlier I didn't make much money from crypto activities.

I will advise him that learning in this space takes time, and every success that you are determined to achieve will come at the right time as long as you never dare to quit but continue to embrace more challenges and better improvements. If you want to last longer in this type of market, then never just follow the rules but internalized them and incorporate them all every time you invest or trade.

Success is not pre-determined that's why you really have to work hard for it and exert a lot of efforts to make everything happen. The reason why this crypto market is really hard and challenging, yet the rewards are totally life changing.

If you will learn anything, just keep trading out of it for now,the only trading experience you need is how to sell when you make profit or you want to buy more coins, all you should learn is how to buy and sell , how to buy and hold for a long term. How to keep calm when the market is bearish.

Then you can learn the basics of bitcoins in a gradual wey, no need for any rush. If  you will buy bitcoins, buy from exchange.

First, I will tell myself to stick to bitcoin and never get tempted to trust too good to be true altcoins as they're nothing but certainly a playground of crypto scammers. Diversifying is good but you can always diversify Bitcoin with other type of investments like stocks or real estate, and not that bitcoin mixed with altcoins.

Second is, do your own diligence to learn in all aspects. Learning does not need to stop when you are already in a higher rank or position, but make sure to learn every time from your actions and decisions so you won't keep repeating the same mistakes and still lose in the end.

I would tell myself to never trust someone easily but only yourself. With the type of space we are currently into, everything revolves around money,  and you don't know anymore who are the legit scammers and who are not. So it's best to focus on oneself and educate yourself as much as you can. Being knowledgeable will give you a weapon against scammers.

In addition,  I would tell myself to never be greedy and never rush into trading without sufficient capital to use and without good experience in the market. Trading is a mental game, and anyone goes unprepared and have no enough weapons in trading will never come out as  a winner, but certainly a loser in the end.

I would tell my younger self not  to get involved in any activity like trading because of the risk and uncertainty thqt is involved in it especially when it's for the purpose of adding to your savings portfolio. As for the method , I think I would go for the best crypto investment method which is DCA method especially for those of that I can't afford to buy big at once. I have come to see that the DCA method has become every effective and It would be the best option for my younger self.

Hehe, TBH I would advise my younger version to focus on what I'm recommending to others these days, better focus on learning and sticking to a single topic in every context afterwards moving to another one. I would have advised my version on being more focused on skill development rather than wasting my time on some shit ways to earn some bucks.

I realized that having a single source of information being dependent on some is not good for efficient learning and exploring this space, so what I would have recommended to my younger version is to not take comments seriously and keep moving and exploring the market with differents modes of information.

Better not to regret focus on the upcoming time and enjoy  Wink

I think I should have been learning how to invest wisely in altcoins because I'm not that good when it comes to making the right decision when choosing the right altcoins. Thankfully I always recover my loss using my unique trading method which I have learned by myself in the past. though it does not always win, that's just the way it is because a day for you and another day against you. Therefore, we should not be sufficed with what we have learned so far rather we try to acquire more knowledge regarding crypto technologies and how to further earn from this opportunity.

In our youth, we must gain experience, and after it, we become stronger. I would start by learning about Bitcoin. Having gone through all the steps and having invested in it regularly, I stayed strong so as not to waste it whenever there were some price explosions and the temptation to sell appeared. Unfortunately, in real life, I missed these opportunities, so now I want to make up for all the mistakes of my youth.

I would actually tell myself to keep all the BTCs that I have earned since 2017 from campaign signatures!

Back in 2017, I was a college student desperate in needing money in order to purchase study materials. Living with a family of 5 with a single dad is truly challenging- the priorities are somehow focused more on my younger siblings. As the eldest of all my brothers, I have this duty where I should also provide them the needs that they have whenever they ask for something.

Though this may be the case, I would still tell my younger self to HODL and remind myself that days will be better in the future.
Almost the same case as mine.

I started joining signature campaign somewhere in 2018 (Bitcoin paid), and I use a portion of my monthly Bitcoin earnings here to pay some monthly bills here. It wasn't the same anymore currently since I already have a job, but I can't imagine how many Bitcoins I converted just to pay those expenses. At the end of the day, we need it to survive so... yeah I guess there's nothing more to be disappointed on that one. What's important now is we both holding some Bitcoins that we get from signature campaigns. Cheesy

Simply don't trade and don't invest into hyping projects. I've learned a lot from those because I thought that I'll make more money with it.

And that basically a combination of what I've learned in the past years of experience of being on this market. You don't have to be too curious with the market and invest here and there.

Bitcoin is more than enough and if you have to add some more, you do it with your spare money so that's my mistake that I have learned.

I would have stopped myself from selling off Bitcoin when it was between $500 and $1k, I would have asked myself to sell off all the altcoins during bull run and I would have rather dedicated myself as a full time trader which I stopped during bear market.

There are a lot of mistakes which I would have stopped myself from doing it and learning curve which I would have embraced. My biggest regret till date are investing a huge sum of money into Mining machineries and couldn't even get 10% returns out of it during 2018 and eventually had to sell the graphic cards and motherboard individually, I wish I wouldn't have done this.

I will tell myself not to rush into trading but first learn more about privacy and wallet security. Trading is not for beginners and any beginner that gets it right at trading at first try, it was just luck and not by their skill on it.

Secondly, I will keep learning new things in the crypto space in order to increase the security of my wallet because, new scam methods are always on the rise to scam away victims of their funds.

And lastly, when I want to invest, I will chose to invest in bitcoin for a long term using the DCA method preferably. If I get attracted to any altcoin, which for sure I will want to gamble, if will be for a small amount of it and money ready to lose if it doesn’t work out as planned.

With all the knowledge you have everything regarding cryptocurrency, what would you tell your younger self in order to learn the best / fastest to get the most out of this space?
I would tell myself not to be in rush to gain. Take time to learn and never believe those who are promising quick profit. Because that's the weakness that many of us can't resist.

When I was a newbie, I have many experienced of losing my money due to wrong investment. Greed is one factor that led me to such situation and for not being knowledgeable. So if ever I had the chance to turn back time and repeat everything, certainly all these mistakes won't happen again. Because i'm aware of what to do in order to stay in crypto longer with no to less losses for doing what is right.

Scammers, promising victims with huge returns and profits has be the con men's technique of swindling people's money. Many people has left cryptocurrency because of such scammers, targeting their greediness. So, following a slow and effective learning method can be very profiting on the long run. Than rushing to complete, in few days, a whole cycle of studying the bitcoin market. Going back in time to change our bad decisions caused by greed may not be that necessary, because the journey just began for most people who have been in the cryptocurrency space for years. Making critical changes is most important. This minute will be buried in the past, soon. Hence, the funny idea of what we'll do if we were able to make changes about the past, can be restructured to a fresh tool to give us reasons to get things right in our current or present efforts to advance. Our mistakes can't be completely removed, due to the wants of a man. That's why even as experienced bitcoin users, being careful is crucial. It keeps us in control of what we do in the market and also safe guards our investments from wrong decisions.

I'll advise myself to learn from other experiences.  It is way more cheaper that way.  Do not instantly believe in Price analyst without verifying the truth behind and most importantly, I will tell myself to learn to hodl and not just get blinded by the instant profit presented upfront.  Patience is the key to Bitcoin's huge profit so I will remind myself to have patience.

I will also tell myself to be wary of centralized exchanges and never leave my Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for a very long time because it is frustrating to find out that the exchange holding our cryptocurrency shuts down or has gone rogue.  It is always best to keep or coins in the wallet where we have full control.

Analyzing the price ourselves can help us in being a good market analyzer. Most of the analyzers in the market, today, copy the contents of other analysts whom they subscribed to their premium channel. Hence, the result presented on the bitcoin price telegram groups have already worn out of quality. Which idea, would be detrimental to the success of a bitcoin beginner. The ideas and lesson you intend to teach your younger self shows how far you've understood the market. Especially the aspect of patience. Generally, in life, learning requires patience. A gradual process also defends us from the attackers who feast on centralized exchanges. A huge number of their victims suffer from lack of knowledge due to the impatience in learning the right way to save their coins, they'll make errors and blame it on the uncertainty of bitcoin. Instead of regretting their mistakes and work towards becoming a better user of bitcoin, most of them would leave and never return.

If it's possible for me to go back in time and advice my younger self, I would tell myself to focus on learning more about the technology behind cryptocurrencies rather than just the price movements because the technology is what really drives the long term success of cryptocurrencies. I would also tell my younger self to start with a small amount of money and to be patient if I should engage in trading. The crypto market is highly volatile and it's easy to get caught up in the hype and make rash decisions. One more important advice is that, I would also tell my younger self to spread the risk and increase the chances of success by investing in multiple cryptocurrencies and not put all my eggs in one basket. In short, I mean to diversify my portfolios.

It's best to have trading experience first and it will be more interesting later. Apart from that, the main thing to enter and understand more in this space is to always update and follow developments. So when we experience obstacles or obstacles, for example in trading techniques or information that is considered important when there is a discussion, it will be very easy for us to follow because the events discussed may be the same as conditions we have experienced before.

I have my regrets and if I have a chance to turn back the hands of time I will advice myself not to run after quick money, I was there in cloud mining and hyip and it result in many losses, I don't regret too much because all those experiences is why I know better today, I was like most beginners today who want to make passive income online and I later learned that long term investment is the way.

With all the money I've lost to high yield schemes online I would have use it to buy good amount of Bitcoin, even if I have sold it I would have use it to do something better but honestly mistakes are made for humans to learn lessons, nobody was born perfect and there is no way to get rid of mistakes from your life, it's just like committing sins, we really can't escape it completely.

Still if I have to give advice to beginners today I will tell them to be prepared, and some are naturally stubborn at heart, even when you know they are doing it wrong and you advice them they will still follow their mind and make the mistake, but after making the mistake what happened after? Learning from the mistake is the best and walking way because of the mistake is just stupid.

3. To ask as much question as his reasonable to enable him stand on track,
4.  to not wait forever before starting up this journey in the Bitcoin space
5. Not Gl only rely on investing into Bitcoin but should intentionally apply the knowledge of bitcoin in the circular society.
6. As my younger self his his now an old man, I am telling him never to give up but to continue learning and improving on a daily basis.

Ok, so here are some personal and some derived from comments I read above, which applies to me too.

1) I'd tell myself to not to hold on to altcoins forever, most of them don't last, either they go dead or go to such low prices that they never recover from. Convert profits made from alts to Bitcoin (or stable coin) and hold onto it.

2) Always have liquidity available to take advantage of market bloodbaths.

3) Although this one didn't cost much but valuable lesson nonetheless. Don't jump into defi platforms looking at lucrative triple digit apr, in the end you will only have worthless shitcoin in your end.

4) Don't FOMO. What goes up, must come down.

I would tell myself not to fall myself for the trading influencer we usually see over social media platforms these days as they are just making money by fooling the viewers and out of greed they blindly follow them in order to earn some profits. In this market best is to keep learning and learn from your past mistakes taking it as an experience dose. Then securing your funds is key to growth as kearn about how to be safe when the hackers and scammers has so many ways to drain your wallets with just one mistake.

Very simple, to always chill and calm on this market because it's always the ones who can't take the heat gets the worst and get out of this market. Another tip is to never get tired of holding. It requires patience and I'll actually develop a lot of things when I'll just be patient at all times. Last one, is to never panic. Whatever happens to this world and on this space, never panic because it's not always at the bottom and the same goes at the top. Nothing beats someone who's informed that has got a plan while holding all of your crypto assets mainly Bitcoin.

I would advise myself not to get involved with the MMM crypto investment Ponzi scheme and always Dyor first and never trust even a close friend's crypto gem recommendation. In addition, I will advise myself to always try newly introduced cutting-edge technology instead of relying on false and fake news which was what prevented me from joining the crypto community at the early stage.

I will tell my younger self that I should allocate sufficient time daily for learning, whether through reading books and articles or engaging in meaningful discussions published in popular blogs and this forum. I should also follow educational courses on YouTube. However, I must derive this knowledge and learning that will help me achieve maximum benefit in this field from reliable sources and prominent people with experience.

I should prioritize the research process at the beginning of my journey, even with the first investment or trade I undertake. I can continue this approach from the beginning to learn the basics and familiarize myself with popular portfolios, their types, methods of securing their security details, etc.

This situation continues for weeks or months to become familiar with every small and large thing, and then comes the role of learning by practice to affirm the information further. When I am qualified, thanks to the experiences and knowledge I have acquired, I will tell myself to invest what I can afford to lose and stay away from FUD and FOMO; Patience is the key.

If I was to know about bitcoin maybe from its infact  stage, I wouldn’t have mind selling my fathers land to buy bitcoin which I’m sure he would have been very proud of me by now but nevertheless I don’t want to regret not accepting bitcoin early because I got to know about it when ponzi was very rampant in my country and every internet money seemed like a scam and Ponzi scheme and bitcoin wasn’t even exempted .

Long story short, if you’re post is about giving you some advise, then I would tell you to go buy bitcoin and thank me later and also avoiding sharing your pass phrase or keys as with this, someone else without your authorization, can get access to your coins.
Security is key  and since bitcoin is decentralized, always stay anonymous in your cryptocurrency transactions.

I am the type of person who is very careful about getting involved in something. If I could go back to my youth, I would prioritize reading books about cryptocurrencies and their ins and outs. Apart from that, joining a supportive community will give me more freedom to gain knowledge about cryptocurrencies. I don't really like trading, I can't stand seeing charts that change all the time (maybe it has become a phobia for me lol)

I will advise my young self to learn more about Bitcoin tech, security, and privacy, and I will also advise myself to learn more about how to read and analyze price charts of Bitcoin and other crypto so that I can make more possible predictions in the market while trading some crypto. Although I just have a little idea, I can't actually compare it to that of some people, whom I know are far better than the knowledge I have in tech and trading generally.

I can chime into learning strategy, which is the most important, in my response. While reading about bitcoin, it's crucial to jot down new terms and definition in a notepad. Revise them each day before reading new article about bitcoin. Then make threads according to your understanding so far on the definitions you've learnt. Add your contribution, criticism, benefits etc in the thread. This will open space for more contribution and argument. And the more people respond to your thread you'll learn faster. Sometimes, technically, the arguments happening on your thread can fetch you ideas for another thread, which will also increase your possibility of learning new ideas in bitcoin. Learn and relearn as much as you could. Before participating or venturing into trading or similar investment in bitcoin. Goodluck.

I'll tell myself to not forget that bitcoin is the future and it a must for me to be counted the people that will be holders in the future when bitcoin finally reach its prime,  all the other cryptocurrency are mediocres should be giving less or no attention due to how most are not viable for the future

Trading is not for newbies and you have to have money before becoming a crypto trader, don't risk the small cash you have for trading, having much money as a trader boost your confidence while trading as the fear to lose is nothing you worry about than someone who's using his little last savings to trade (the emotions ain't the same.) Stick to one strategy, master it and remember learning never stop we just have to continue improving on ourself to be able to beat the market.

Learn the learning method to technical info. Stay away from the crypto trade first.

Learning basic knowledge about Bitcoin and about crypto space on an ongoing basis to other stages is a thing that I will say to you even for me.
Start from A to Z. Don't reverse, from Z to A.
May be reversed, as long as it makes it easy for you to understand it.

technical info, I mean, that is the only way to properly start on anything that you don't understand yet. people who tend to want to learn how to trade cryptocurrency as fast as possible usually are people who are FOMO, they are afraid of potentially losing profit from trading cryptocurrency and they want to get in on it as fast as possible but in the end, they end up losing/wasting money.

Don't immediately jump into investing and try to learn what the ins and outs of this industry are first. Most people immediately jump into buying random crap on CoinMarketCap that causes them to get burned in the end if they don't exit after x ROI.

But really, I can't tell if there's any better lesson in this industry than experience. Most great investors/traders I know all went through the portfolio-down-90% phase that I think almost everyone that wants to trade altcoins needs to go through this hardship.

What did you primarily look into learning?
Technical stuff and the history. For the former, I recommend you to read Mastering Bitcoin and learnmeabitcoin.com. For any questions, use this place and stackexchange. For the latter... I think you're in the best place.  Smiley

I've bought coins since around 2019 but I do not know too much (mostly buying ada, xmr, eth, btc).
In my opinion, ADA and ETH are shitcoins. Bitcoin is the best in terms of risk and capital appreciation. If you've bought cryptocurrencies with the assumption to get rich, then you're in the wrong place. Nonetheless, Bitcoin still gives pretty good ROI.

No offense, but if after almost 5 years you don't know more than you did then, do you think there is a chance that something will change in this matter or will you ask a similar question sometime in 2028? It would be logical if you learned at least some basic things, and only then invested - although it is good to have a hardware wallet, regardless of the bad reputation of that company.

What would you tell your younger self to learn this space efficiently?

I would tell myself "buy more Bitcoin" and "stay away from all altcoins" which would definitely be the two best pieces of advice I could give myself.

To know more about the cryptspace is fun and I will continue to learn and study on bitcoin to keep on improving myself everyday. I will also not patronize centralized exchange for any reason, and I will always be working on my privacy.

What did you primarily look into learning? I was thinking about the whole technology in general so I could understand the terms used often. I've bought coins since around 2019 but I do not know too much (mostly buying ada, xmr, eth, btc).
I will tell myself never to play around shitcoins and only focus on increasing my bitcoin portfolio with regular DCA. This is because altcoins are waste of time and they will end up dumping to zero, and will lead to big loss for their investors

I frequently advice people to always make us of the search button because almost all the topics have been treated before, so when you search the exact terms you wanna learn you will find best response that have been provided.
There are topics like bitcoin technology terms and abbreviations that you can read and get basic know of the frequently used terms.

In the aspect of buying crypto i strongly advice not to get involved with shit coins because there are pumped  and dumped for a selfish reason.
Just buy Bitcoin and hold for a long time and you will surely get more benefit from it.

I was also thinking perhaps I should concentrate on learning to use wallets better as I only have a few (mainly just use ledger nano x).
Yeah you surely need to learn use wallet better and be more conscious of your security.

My advice to you is to learn more about technology before considering any type of investment. Trading methods and investment techniques are a special stage for experimenters who have become proficient in the basics of blockchain, such as learning about the various networks and their characteristics, including storage wallets, stock exchange platforms, and other important principles related to maintaining privacy and securing assets.
Here on the forum, this can be done easily by following the discussions for beginners and following reputable profiles who constantly provide support to every knowledge seeker. In addition, you can easily use the search feature at any time to get quick answers or post a topic regarding any question.

I'd advice myself to not get involved into trading to begin with. Retail trading is just waste of time and money.
I second that, but I think that's something that basically everyone has to go throught by themselves as I don't know a single persopn who is in crypto that haven't tried trading at some point, thinking thatits a no brainer and an easy way to earn money.

I was also thinking perhaps I should concentrate on learning to use wallets better as I only have a few (mainly just use ledger nano x).
Quality over quantity when it comes to wallets. You should primarily focus on non custodial open source wallets, and ledger nano x fails at the latter requirement.

The second thing I'd advice myself would be to... Keep learning more about the crypto space. Maybe don't create a dozen of topics asking basic questions which could be answered with a google search, but yeah, with everything considered, there isn't one thing I regret about learning.
