The governments are not going to accept bitcoin as legal for the use of the state and I think it is because of the feature of anonymity of bitcoin and other coins too. So if a feature is created in bitcoin or any other coin with which governments will not have that problem then governments will also adopt crypto currency for their uses.
I think at this point in the ecosystem it is more important to make existing blockchain payment technologies (bitcoin & lightning network) more user-friendly and secure to grow the user base rather than fragmenting it with competitor payment related coins.
I want to see a coin with social responsibility to the environment and the nature
I want that the entry of new coin should be like , it should remain in activity before launching . And also remain much active in exchange for buy/sell .
All this is possible when most of the Bitcoiner will know about new altcoin .
So I think first of all you should make maximum advertisement in every bitcoin Field .

any new coins has been announced/launched it doesn't matter. to replace Bitcoin?compare with Bitcoin? i don't think so, But.. thats the way to make BTC keep exist as the Main purposes.
I will like to join it if it will have a good ability to be adopted as a currency and people will like to use that coin for their business and for their purchase because that coin will have a better future and the price of it will increase more higher. Nowadays a lot of coins are created and the purpose is only one that is to use it for trade which because of much lesser demand go down to lower price and traders leave to get profit from that coin and it goes to die.
There are a billion coins out there , most of them have either 1 or 2 things (some have both) , a solution to a problem or great marketing.
Now assuming satoshi nakomoto came back today with steve jobs and they have a billion dollar fund , satoshi will create a new coin and steve will market it.
What would YOU want from that coin? What do they need to make (add , remove or create) to make this new coin stand out from all other new coins?
I only want from a new coin to last long and will not turn to scam. 'coz most of a newly made coin will turn to scam lately, And i want the new coin to be added to the international currency that can be easily exchange to other currency without any questions from the government, in short LEGALISM. Also i want coin that can be mine from a HIGH END computer and will make a stable income.
Sometimes you don't really any funding to create something revolutionary and bitcoin was an example for that . I'm with the idea of creating a coin as long as It's used for something and not simply a copy of another coin , If we take DASH , Monero , Zcash , BitcoinDark and many others , all of them claiming that they are anonymous and everyone trying to pump his coins to be the next big thing while It's not how It should work. In reality , we don't really need those coins as bitcoin could be improved to be more then pseudonymous.
MaidSafe for example is offering something new a decentralized internet where ChronoBank is a Time-based coin , those are things that we didn't see in the past few years and this is why they are going to succeed while others won't so as long as the idea is good and unique , the coin Itself should be good but of course marketing and campaign to advertise are always needed.

Bitcoin simply satisfies many needs of people who are using it for payment but maybe it's minus is that it needs much time for confirmation, if there would be new coin designed on my needs, than I would highly speed up transaction confirmations and would make supply more higher and also difficulties would be edited, I mean it's stages would be different from what it's now on bitcoin.

Useful coins that can be used on many platforms as quick as possible.
Security is a must.
Not a clone of another coin.

Launching with services already set in place to take the coins.

Thats actually very cool idea. That could be implemented on any coin tough , its ease of use , nothing a company can't do for bitcoin already. Not a new feature for a new coin.

There is a limit , like 25 X coin mined every 30 minutes lets say, mining is limited as always.
The thing is , the more you have , the more %share of the mining you get. Say there is 100 coins in the market, and 50 more will be mined.
You have 10
X has 20
Y has 50
Z has 20
Total , 100 coins in the market ,
You will mined 5
X will have 10 more
Y will have 25 more
Z will have 10 more
That way. Is that better?

Looking at the present crypto market, I feel there is plenty of coins which try to solve problem of other coins and end with some problems
of their own and if Satoshi plans to develop something, I believe it would make sense if he works on bitcoin to make it more better by solving issues like scaleability.
A better version of tither that can keep the value of bitcoin if it gets to fall.
A coin that will be a legal tender at most (80% of) countries and online markets.

I would want the following things from a new coin:
1) No regulator or central authority or development centralization where they have the command over when a hard fork can be made in events where large thefts occur (Consider the case of Ethereum)
2) Fast transaction confirmations, almost in 2 confirmations or less. This would have less waiting time to trust that the transaction is truly confirmed.
3) I'd also love to see a trusted community for altcoin, and that it's no large whale pump and dump scenario.
