I recently spent some on indirect investment in mining equipment at pyramining.com. It yields a 10% reward over 11months (you get your investment back in batches until 110% has been paid back). The reward increases if you refer others.

If you have spare coins lying around, you can invest them by using one of my referrals and have more to spend when you need them:

So far, gift cards (usually from btcbuy).  Getting the code via email in a matter of minutes is really nice (no physical card, no waiting)...

Nothing yet, but I wanted to learn more about the bitcoin system.  If I find something good, I'll definitely buy it!

I buy USD! Then in turn, use those tiny pieces of useless trash to buy more Bitcoins.  Wink

Has anyone physicallly gone to a retailer that accepts bitcoins and paid for your purchase with them?  I know there are a few restaurants in my area that accept bitcoins (at least the internet tells me they do), but I can only assume you would need to have a mobile device with bitcoin wallet on you to make these sorts of transactions?
i have been to hudson eatery in the city and ate with bitcoins, mobile scan of qr code... other than that i have bought bitcoin magazine, satoshi dice and some xbox 360 parts locally

Making Sense of Things
Haven't spent my BTC on anything external yet, although they are my investment so it doesn't make sense for me to spend USD to buy BTC, just to spend them again, and I haven't spent any of my mined coins.
